Beaulieu
Beaulieu is a great day out for all the family. See the National Motor Museum and its stunning collection of over 250 vehicles, from Land Speed Record breakers and F1 racers, to motoring oddities, like a giant orange on wheels. Jack Tucker’s Garage recreates the sights, sounds and smells of a typical country garage from the 1930s while ‘Wheels’ -- a space-age pod ride -- is a fascinating voyage through 100 years of motoring.
Explore the grounds and gardens at Beaulieu by taking a ride on the high-level Monorail or hopping onboard the veteran London bus.
Enter ‘World of Top Gear’, featuring actual vehicles created by presenters Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May for some of their most ambitious challenges on the TV show over the years and experience the Top Gear ‘Enormodrome’ which aims to recreate the feel of the Top Gear studio.
Visit Palace House, home of the Montagu family since 1538 to see the magnificent rooms and talk to costumed guides, and in 13th century Beaulieu Abbey enjoy a film presentation and exhibition about what life was like for the Cistercian monks who lived there.
Budding drivers can get in the driving seat on Dipstick’s Driving Circuit, while younger visitors can get physical on the Mini Motor PlayTrail with its Veteran Bus climbing frame, swings and Little Tykes ride-on-cars.
