Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra

Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra

23 May 2026 - 23 May 2026

Rob Heron & the Tea Pad Orchestra are one of the hardest working bands in the UK roots circuit. With thousands of touring miles under their belts, they have earned themselves a sizeable fanbase in the UK, Europe and beyond. Based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, they play their own brand of Western Swing, Blues, Gypsy Jazz and Country, or North Eastern Swing as they've coined it. Their style is more eclectic than most, influenced by early 20th century American music, with the addition of razor-sharp solos, great arrangements and original songs; their music harks back to a golden age whilst staying perfectly modern. The songs are penned by Rob Heron, a crazy fool for country music and a full time dandy-cowboy. His songs are full of character, satire, and good old fashion hollerin'.The band, a hot six-piece, features Ben Fitzgerald (guitar), Tom Cronin (mandolin), Colin Nicholson (accordion), Ted Harbot (double bass) and Paul Archibald (drums). Their debut album, 'Money Isn't Everything', caused a sensation when it was released in 2012, winning a host of rave reviews many of them 5-star. Their second album, "Talk About The Weather" is also gathering some notable radio play and reviews. The best way to experience Rob Heron and the Tea Pad Orchestra is at a live show!

The 113 - Live @ Billy's (UPSTAIRS)
THE 113 bring their Post Punk Poetry to Billy's! Establishing themselves as a vital new voice from Leeds ever-evolving underground, The 113 evolve with it. Abrasive dystopian statements on surveillance, data harvesting and the quiet unease of modern digital life. The band describes its new sound; desperate and panicked, the group blisteringly hurtles forward with a compelling urgency, propelled by discordant guitars and thunderous offbeat rhythms. At times an almost uncomfortably prescient and claustrophobic listen, Leach finds frontman Jack Grant unleashing both a rallying cry against the advancement and negative impacts of big tech, and an honest admission of powerlessness and inevitability in the face of it all: Me, you or half the planet, whats the fucking difference? Ill be stamped within the spreadsheet with little to no resistance Support to be announced.

DBA!

DBA!

13 May 2026 - 4 Jun 2026

DBA! emerged from the gritty underbelly of Liverpool's music scene in early 2024. A band of misfits and odd parts that somehow crashed together and clicked into place. DBA! was birthed in a DIY demo studio tucked into the literal basement drain of a Liverpool nightclub. The damp and unorthodox space - rented in defiance of skeptical glances from peers - became a safe space where late night sessions gave way to the creation of their sound, blending 90s alternative rock, garage rock and indie, drawing from bands such as Eels, Pavement, The Breeders, Elastica and Beck. The name DBA! itself is a statement of intent, best left unravelled. It encapsulates an ethos: unpolished, introspective and weird. From their subterranean origins, the band wasted no time propelling themselves out into the open. Recording with engineer Sophie Ellis - a serendipitous collaboration after years of near-misses - the band honed a guitar driven sound laced with vivid & brooding lyricism. Their debut single 'sinkorswim' was released late 2024, achieving some extensive support from BBC Radio 6 tastemakers, such as Huw Stephens, Craig Charles & Emily Pilbeam where the track was made BBC introducing track of the week & achieved an 8/10 score on the roundtable show, with particular high praise from Abbie McCarthy. Their follow up 2 singles were met with strong radio support, including premieres on Huw Stephens' show and support from Tom Ravenscroft and John Kennedy, and even a spin of their track "D.P.D." from an all time hero of the band, Iggy Pop. The band's debut EP released in April 25 and was met with praise from outlets such as DORK magazine, who made the band the cover of their HYPE playlist, and awarded the EP a 4/5 star review. Other early press buzz came from outlets such as DIY, So Young, Rough Trade, Indie Is Not a Genre and Backseat Mafia where their unique chemistry and raw temperament was hailed. Live, the band started a the year playing more intimate shows across the UK, building up to a run of more prestigious slots in the past few months - supporting bands such as White Denim & Being Dead, headlining a packed Supersonic club show in Paris and joining the line up for Left of the Dial festival in Rotterdam. With more tours and releases on the horizon, DBA!'s story is just beginning to unravel.
Punchlove (USA) + Bored Marsh - Live @ Billy's
A night of sonic Psychedelic Shoegaze Post Rock from Punchlove (USA) and Nottingham's own Bored Marsh! PUNCHLOVE "Punchlove are a Brooklyn-based band dedicated to pushing the envelope of experimental sonic practices. For the five multi-instrumentalists and audio engineers, moving into a maze of a house in Brooklyn together was the transition that created the album they had been writing their whole lives. Melding DIY recording and experimental sonic visions with studio quality, their debut album, Channels," is a layered bed of adventurous, pain-pop songs that coalesce around a digitally-stimulated, emotionally-serrated brand of modern shoegaze. "Channels" is out now everywhere on Kanine Records. BORED MARSH "Recognised as one of the brightest hopes coming out of Nottingham right now, Bored Marsh are an Alternative Rock 4-piece, their name referencing a now derelict shopping centre & lack of progress in their hometown through Government funding cuts and austerity, who are starting to draw the recognition and attention of those further afield. Formed via lockdown demo-sharing, their reverb-soaked dynamic sound combines soaring melodic vocal and guitar harmonies, with darker, heavier sections. Taking inspiration from various eras of guitar music over recent decades, from early post-punk and grunge, through to more recent shoegaze and new wave influences, references include the likes of Interpol and Radiohead".

Sylvie's Head + Deadwood Superstar + More Tba
Sylvie's Head formed in the industrial city of Gothenburg, Sweden in January 2024. They move freely through hard breakbeats and chainsaw guitars, balearic house euphoria and unpredictable dub rock madness. The release of debut EP Sharp Shooter and a cover of Psychic TV's Godstar in 2025 proved their party-adjacent rock & roll dance music is something we all need toexperience. Those releases also earned them a nomination for Best in Rock at the Manifest Awards 2026 (indie Grammys of Sweden). Their debut album is set to drop in 2026 on local, eclectic label Welfare Sounds & Records, along with live dates in the UK and across Europe. This is a band happening now! Support comes from Derby psychedelic janglepop outfit DEADWOOD SUPERSTAR with more to be announced soon.

Pictish Trail (Full Band Show)

3 May 2026 - 3 May 2026

Pictish Trail brings his full band show to Nottingham. UPSTAIRS @ Billy's! Billy Bootleggers proudly presents a rare full band performance from PICTISH TRAIL! A must for any music fan! A favourite artist of ours, Im always excited to hear what Pictish Trail is doing next. This is beautiful Lauren Laverne, BBC 6 Music Pictish Trail, AKA Johnny Lynch, has just completed work on a brand-new album LIFE SLIME a sticky, shimmering swirl of sound and oooze (both metaphorical and literal). To celebrate, he returns to the stage in 2026 accompanied by his full live band. These shows bring the new songs to life in bold, expansive form rhythmic, euphoric and immersive, balancing motorik pulse with warped pop melody and raw emotional release. Expect tenderness, weirdness, and a generous dollop of goo. Based on the Isle of Eigg in the Scottish Hebrides, Pictish Trail is known for his wildly inventive electro-acoustic psych-pop. His 2022 album Island Family, his third for Londons Fire Records, drew acclaim from The Observer, The Times, Mojo, Uncut, Loud & Quiet, and BBC 6 Music. It was followed in autumn 2024 by Follow Footsteps an EP of reworked Island Family tracks released via his own Lost Map Records, in conjunction with Fire. Recasting the euphoric-bucolic psychedelia of Island Family, Melody Something and Nuclear Sunflower Swamp through a softer filter and complemented by a pair of incidental instrumentals Lynch discovered delicately kaleidoscopic new resonance in the material. Pictish Trails earlier albums Secret Soundz Vols. 1 & 2 (2008/2013) were gloriously eclectic slices of lo-fi folk-pop, later reissued on deluxe double-vinyl by Moshi Moshi in 2014. His third album Future Echoes (2016) received widespread acclaim and was shortlisted for the Scottish Album of the Year (SAY Award), winning the public vote, before being reissued by Fire in 2018. His fourth album, Thumb World, was released by Fire in 2020. Pictish Trail has toured the world as both headliner and support for the likes of Belle & Sebastian, Pavement, Mogwai, Sea Power, and KT Tunstall. Hes performed at major festivals including Glastonbury (Park Stage), Field Day, Camp Bestival, Deer Shed, Celtic Connections, Blue Dot, the Edinburgh Fringe, and every single edition of Green Man Festival (22 and counting). Outside his own music, Johnny is a key figure in the UKs independent music scene. Through Lost Map Records, he has championed a diverse and idiosyncratic roster helping to elevate artists such as Rozi Plain, Alabaster dePlume, Seamus Fogarty, Bas Jan, Callum Easter, and Free Love. Sister Ray Davies

Sister Ray Davies

17 Apr 2026 - 17 Apr 2026

SISTER RAY DAVIES are a brilliantly named new duo formed by Adam Morrow and Jamie Sego. They might be based in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, but their acclaimed debut album "Holy Island" (released in November 2025 via Sonic Cathedral and Well Kept Secret) is a concept record about the ancient religious outpost off the coast of northeast England. It's a stunning record that mixes fuzzy guitars, folk horror and fantastic melodies, inspired by the likes of Slowdive, Ride, Galaxie 500, Yo La Tengo, The Clientele and Talk Talk. Despite its lyrical inspiration lying thousands of miles away, it comes imbued with the soulfulness of their surroundings not least because it was recorded in the old Muscle Shoals Sound studio, now Portside Sound, which is run by Jamie. The duo met when Adam played on sessions at the studio and they realised they had much in common, personally and musically. On Holy Island the story of Lindisfarne is used as a vibes-based framework for abstract ideas and emotions, as they try to make sense of our own peculiar moment in history. Their new EP 'Holy Island Baby' - a companion project to the album - comes out on Friday 17th April, the same day as this show. Support comes from Nottingham lo-fi dreampop outfit POSSUM KID and Leicester shoegaze sensations SHALLOWDROWN

Æl-Fierlen are a four-piece band from the south of England with elements of black metal, shoegaze and folk twisted together like the branches of the oldest tree in the forest. We are what the woods sounds like.
Industry Standard, Chakra Shakers + Bucko
"Industry Standard are four London based artistic outliers. Part punk show, part absurdist carnival, their Cuban Italian figurehead displays the fearless charisma of an unhinged gameshow host while leading an explosion of sound and imagery. Self-dubbed 'Wonky Tonk Swamp Pop', warps discordant riffs with disco, hardcore, country and industrial noise into something brash, bizarre and unmistakable. In their signature style, immersive storytelling, captivating costumes, handmade props and DIY theatrics (including a rewired telephone mic) suck you into an uncanny world. This cartoon-like spectacle is as joy filled as it is unsettling, when the seemingly comedic abruptly gives way to something intimate and raw. They have played sold out shows supporting Warmduscher and Shelf Lives and are currently writing their debut album"
