Birmingham Botanical Gardens And Glasshouses
The Botanical Gardens and Greenhouses consist of 15 acres of ornamental gardens, glasshouses and exotic birds in indoor and outdoor aviaries. The gardens were designed by J C London and opened in 1832, and the glasshouses were added in the latter half of the 19th century. The gardens maintain a thriving educational programme and is the home of the British National Bonsai Collection.
The nearest railway station is Five Ways, about half an hour away on foot. The gardens are served by the 10H, 22, 23, 23A, 24, 29 and 29A bus routes, stopping on Westbourne Road.
