THE HOUGHTON WEAVERS, The Northwests Premiere Comedy / Folk Group, have been entertaining folk for over 50 years! with their unique blend of popular folk music, humour and audience participation. With countless Television and Radio appearances under their belt, they continue to tour across a wide selection of theatres and venues. Having recently performed as a headline Act at The Great British Folk Festival, their single Wild Mountain Thyme appeared in the Heritage Charts Top 40 and is due to appear in an upcoming film, Between Weathers. Our House is the story of May, a widowed grandmother who is packing her belongings for a move to an apartment in Spain. Shes leaving the council house that she and her late husband bought for their retirement, in a West Yorkshire pit village. Mays memories live again through the play the good, the sad and the quite spiky, and we see how their lives change through the ages (1958 to 2001).
