Nick Drake is the most revered and loved of all this country’s Singer/Songwriters. He has given us timeless songs that shed all the tears of life within their fragile yet perfect lines. He recorded three cherished Albums between 1969 and 1972 but was almost entirely unknown in his day. After his tragic death in 1974 aged only 26 his music almost disappeared into obscurity. Now, thanks to a massive resurgence of interest and a worldwide re-evaluation of his genius. Nick Drake has become a national treasure. Two decades have now passed since Singer/Guitarist Keith James paralysed the whole Country with this stunningly beautiful concert. In 2001 he was the first artist ever to bring this intriguingly fragile music to Theatres across the UK in its live form. The result was six years of highly acclaimed tours amounting to over 1000 concerts in venues across the UK, Ireland, Holland, France, Italy and Spain including all of Nick’s Schools and Colleges - even Glastonbury Festival.

Blues & Burgers is back. Time to turn down the lights, fire up the grills, and welcome one of the UK's most respected blues musicians for a solo set - Eddie Martin. Known as 'The Ambassador of British Blues', Eddie's toured 35 countries with 17 acclaimed original albums and a string of national and international awards and nominations. A prolific songwriter, his work sweeps across the genres from folk to slide guitar-led blues rock. Alongside the blues soundtrack, we're cooking up a storm in the kitchen with a delicious menu of homemade burgers (vegan options available), plus cocktails and craft beer.

Blues & Burgers is back. Time to turn down the lights, fire up the grills, and enjoy an evening with one of the most compelling live acts on the UK blues circuit - Adam Sweet, alongside Paddy Blight. Taking his cue from the British blues boom of the late 60 s and early 70's, Adam sweet has been carving out his own territory at the crossroads of classic rock, blues and americana since first hitting the live scene in the South West of England at just 15. Having worked in various guises; solo acoustic performer, session player and band leader; he's developed a consummate ability to shift effortlessly from sensitive singer-songwriter to full-throttle Blues rocker.

DJ Graeme Park began his career in the mid-'80s, spinning records out of the UK town of Nottingham and working at a local record store. His boss bought a club in the city and asked Park to be the house DJ. He had his doubts, but by 1987 he was kick starting the acid house scene with his innovative playlists and an ear for the next big thing. From 1989 to 1992, he continually won the DMC DJ of the Year Award, one of the most prestigious honours in the DJ circuit. He began remixing songs for artists also, and had a regular gig at the Hacienda club where he DJed until its closure. He remains a popular DJ who does not perform very often any more, and he continues to do remixes and work on his own music.

Nottingham based, British-Ugandan singer-songwriter Daudi Matsiko carefully crafts modern albeit reverent folk. Deft, melancholic picking reminiscent of Nick Drake is tempered by contemporary percussion and instrumentation. Matsiko's vocals derive their strength from their seeming fragility. With every song, his confessional lyrics cut to the marrow. After releasing two independent EPs, A Brief Introduction to Failure and The Lingering Effects of Disconnection, he has toured with GoGo Penguin, Keaton Henson and Portico Quartet whilst also being a participant of the Red Bull Music Academy in Montreal 2016. 2023 has seen the release of new singles oMo, Fool Me As Many Times As You Like, Hymn, and I Am Grateful For My Friends, which have received support from Gilles Peterson on Worldwide FM and BBC 6 Music as well as Lauren Laverne, and have been featured in several Spotify editorial playlists including The Most Beautiful Songs in the World, The Other list, The Listening Post and Fresh Finds. In November 2023, Matsiko also featured and performed on episode 215 of The Adam Buxton Podcast. After receiving a standing ovation at this years The Great Escape Festival in Brighton, Matsiko's much anticipated debut album is expected in early 2024.

With 32 years on the road, Joey The Lips have played at a huge variety of venues and festivals throughout the UK and Europe, and have become a regular fixture at Bomba.
