Bridlington Spa

A much loved local landmark that was rebuilt in 1907, following a fire that destroyed the original building and redeveloped in 1927 with the opening of the Royal Hall. Fully refurbished in in 2007 and now a popular venue for theatre, dance, music and comedy. The seafront venue offers spectacular views for private functions, conferences and weddings. Close to Bridlington rail station.

From the producers of the West End smash hit Rip It Up 60s, Jukebox Idols will feature non-stop hits from the jukebox idols of the past and present, brought to life with show-stopping dance routines. Nadiya and The Overtones will be joined throughout the tour by a stellar supporting cast of dancers as they swing, bop, jive and rock ‘n’ roll their way through a kaleidoscopic array of pop music’s greatest moments, featuring classic hits from the likes of Nat King Cole, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, The Bee Gees, The Backstreet Boys, Take That and Bruno Mars, amongst many others.

Doors will open 7pm for the 7.30pm curtain up. Saturday evening Gala Ball with dancing to Northern Vibes in The Royal Hall. Fun or formal photo shoot with Bumblebugs Photography. The bar will close at midnight and the premises should be vacated by 12.30am. Sunday - The Spa complex will open at 10am on Sunday 27th April for coffee/tea on a cash basis and the presentations will commence at 10.30am in The Spa Theatre. The announcements of awards will be followed by guest speaker, Steve Pateman, the original Charlie Price from the musical Kinky Boots. The weekend will conclude at 12.30pm with the singing of Jerusalem.

A practical workshop that explores how to make the most of this valuable and vital element of performance. Well look at ways in which the chorus of both musicals and plays can add depth and detail to the world of the play, add eloquence to stage storytelling and create vibrant, visual dimensions to stagecraft. Well even consider scene changes using chorus too! A great class for directors to increase their toolbox of techniques and for actors who want to ensure small parts make a big impression. there will be no dance element to the class
Developing Your Stage Combat Skills with Tom Eastwood
This workshop will focus on choreography, teaching participants some of the fundamental techniques that they can take back to their societies to be able to perform fights safely and effectively, as well as equipping them with the choreography skills they can utilise in their shows. The session would build on the skills learned last year for those who attended in 2025, but will still be accessible to newcomers.
