QED's Daytime Summer Party

QED's Daytime Summer Party

11 Jul 2026 - 11 Jul 2026

An All Girl Hard House line-up in the main room, playing two one hour sets each, so even if you have to dive off for babysitters, you'll catch every DJ! K8-e - having plied her talents in Ibiza and regularly at Hard Hush, K8-e joins us again after such a positive response to her first outing for QED. Dawn-Lee - getting more frequent bookings and establishing herself on the UK's revived Hard House scene, Dawn' Halloween set went down a storm with the QED regulars, so it's great to have her back with us, we hope. DJ Layah - a firm favourite of QED over the past three decades, and our new recruits! Her style of fabulously bouncy Hard House goes down a storm, as does her Funky House when she's in The Bar, so she's also been playing out at Feersum and Tech Noir.

Mini August Choir Brighton | 4-Week Pop-Up Choir | No Audition Subtitle
A relaxed, modern choir experience for anyone who loves music and wants to try singing in a fun, welcoming group. Event Description Join the Mini August Choir at Brighton Electric this August: a fun, modern, low-pressure 4-week pop-up choir for anyone who loves music and wants to sing with others. This short-term choir is designed to give you a taste of contemporary vocal collectives like Some Voices: social, uplifting, accessible, and centred around great songs. You don't need to have sung in a choir before. You don't need to read music. You don't need to audition. Just come along, learn some brilliant arrangements, and enjoy singing in a relaxed group setting. Across the 4 weeks, we'll learn 3 songs arranged by Jade, with song suggestions coming from the group. Choices will be picked at random, so we could end up anywhere from pop and disco to rock, soul or hip hop. At the end of the 4 weeks, there'll be an optional performance opportunity at our own open mic / gig night, with a focus on music, community and the wider Brighton scene.
