Singer, Songwriter, Guitarist, Producer, Band Leader, Activist and Granny Nominee. Living in New York Aaron helped form his first band, Semi Precious Weapons. It was here that he caught the eye of Drivin' N' Cryin's Kevn Kinney, who later invited Tasjan to tour with him as an opening act and guitar player. He also mentored Tasjan, advising him that a musician never has to be defined by one sound or genre. This principle has helped shape Tasjan's work. In 2013 Aaron moved to Nashville to focus on songwriting and a solo career. He has since released 2 EPs, "Crooked River Burning" and "Telling Stories to the Wall. His debut full-length effort, In the Blazes, was released in 2015. This has been followed by Silver Tears in 2016, Karma For Cheap 2018, Tasjan Tasjan in 2021 and most recent Stellar Evolution in 2024. His new record, Stellar Evolution is a record with songwriting beholden to nothing no expectations, and certainly no genre. Just the pure sense of wonder and discovery that had made him fall in love with music as a kid in Orange County, devouring it all with no understanding or care for what was cool. From synth thrill rides like Alien Space Queen and Horror Of It All, to the woozy The Drugs Did Me, and the balladic Dylan Shades, these songs track Tasjan's sonic shifts, and share personal moments of overcoming challenges and embracing change; for the world, they are universal in appeal and inclusive in intention. Matt-Felix's Anglo-French heritage and early years spent on the island of Bali have been a source of inspiration for his eclectic, left-field songwriting style, which draws on a diverse range of influences and moods. Now settled in London and collaborating with a variety of musicians, he is releasing music at pace and steadily building his fanbase as a result. The release of his sophomore EP "Dark Enough To See" last year led to monumental growth across platforms for Matt-Felix. In just a few months since his first single from the EP was released in early April, his Spotify MAUs grew from 4K and peaked at 224K. He also takes pride in his stunning visuals that help bring his music to life, with each single from the EP accompanied by theatrical, cinematic videos. Matt-Felix has firmly established himself in the UK live music scene, headlining sold-out rooms, supporting Sunday (1994), Razorlight, DMA's and Balancing Act and performing at festivals across the country, including All Points East, Victorious Festival and Sheffield Rock 'N' Roll Circus. Matt-Felix also made his international festival debuts last summer, playing his first European shows in the Netherlands and the Czech Republic.
