Canolfan y Celfyddydau Aberystwyth Arts Centre
Wales's largest arts centre opened in 1970 and features a 312-seat theatre, a 900-seat concert hall, a studio and a cinema, plus gallery spaces, cafés, bars and shops. Operated by Aberystwyth University, it has over 700,000 visitors every year and maintains programmes of theatre, cinema, music, dance, the visual arts, stand-up comedy, talks & lectures, and other events.
The centre is situated in the University's Penglais campus, accessible by the 03 bus which runs to and from the town centre every 20 minutes between 7.40am--7.40pm during term time. The nearest train station, Aberystwyth, is in the town centre next to the main bus and coach station, and is approximately 11 minutes away by bus. The campus has large car parking which is free to the public after 5pm and at weekends.
