Silence of the Jams 27

19 Sept 2026 - 19 Sept 2026

Bringing silent disco fun to the South Manchester suburbs, Silence of the Jams offers an eclectic mix of tunes across three channels. Expect dance, pop, hip hop, disco, emo, electro, RnB, DnB, indie and all round party bangers! SUPER EARLY BIRD (limited numbers available until 8th August) 6 EARLY BIRDS (limited numbers available until 8th August) 8 CARLTON CLUB MEMBERS (limited numbers available) 9 ADVANCE TICKETS 10 ON THE DOOR 12 Over 18s only. Please note, last entry for the event is 11pm - we have a limited number of headsets, so if you haven't arrived by this time, we may offer your headset up for on the door sales. Not been to a silent disco before? When you arrive you'll be given a headset that plays three channels of music. You get to pick which song (or songs, if you're a channel flicker!) you want to listen to. Every headset has a light on it which means you can tell what other people are listening to from the colour of the light. So if someone looks like they're having a great time dancing, you can flip over to their channel and join in too! And what do we play? All sorts: pop, hip hop, electro, disco, funk, punk, RnB, DnB, nu metal, new wave, old school, school disco and more! Unlike other silent discos, we don't stick to a single genre per channel, so at any one time, there's always something for everyone. We also take advance requests so if there's something you really want to hear, let us know. Our only rule? Is it a banger? See you on the dancefloor! Any further information about this event (cancellations, entry requirements etc) will be emailed to you in advance of the event date and made available through our social media channels. Outdoor Art Workshop by Manchester's Little Artists
An art workshop aimed at three to six year olds who want to explore a theme in an open and child-led way. It's going to be messy, creative and about the process, not just the end result. They will be working with two early-years educators who understand the importance of development through art explorations. The workshop will begin with a circle time introducing the theme. This will involve a story and encourage the children to share their knowledge and become more comfortable with the group. The workshop will last an hour and a half. Hope to see you there! IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Adults will be responsible for their children throughout the workshop, however you are more than welcome to sit at a nearby table. Workshops can be messy, please wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.
It's All Gravy with Herbie Saccani and Zozo
The tastiest night in the North is back! Get ready for another delicious dollop of 'It's All Gravy' - and this year the stock is an extra-strong acid-fused concoction with Manchester legend Herbie Saccani. He'll be delivering a three hour It's All Acid set, ably supported by rising star DJ Zozo. As a DJ, HERBIE SACCANI has seen it and done it all. He had a teenage residency at the Factory's Dry Bar in the early 90s, when it was still a revolutionary space. After the Hacienda and The Boardwalk He took his talents to Tangled until the 00s. At Tangled he pioneered a new Break Beat sound putting Manchester on the Map for this genre. Herbie plays at clubs all over Manchester and elsewhere in the UK and beyond. His DJing has taken him as far as Japan, where he has promoted his own events. ZoZo is a UK underground DJ whose roots trace back to the mid-90s London scene, with deep ties to Manchester and Ibiza too. Born on the dancefloor, her sound moves through deep, minimal and dub-led house and techno, edged with acid. A host on Release Radio, Kane FM and Select Radio, and filling the floor at any opportunity, ZoZo's sets are immersive, cross genre and built with the dancer in mind.

A Summer Cookout 2026

25 Jul 2026 - 25 Jul 2026

Following last year's sold out event, the Cookout returns to The Carlton Club for an even bigger summer celebration - bringing together So Flute, Shin Digger and one of Manchester's most beloved community venues for 14 hours of music, food, dancing and open-air energy. This year, we're levelling everything up. Expect an expanded outdoor setup with the return of the stretch tent, upgraded sound systems across day and night programming, four bars pouring throughout the day, and a ridiculous line-up of DJs spanning soulful house, disco, broken beat, Afro-Latin rhythms, jazz-infused club sounds and everything in between. Leading the charge for 2026 are Nick The Record, Camilla Reghenzi, Miss Jackson and Nossa!, joined by Baloo, Bolts, Eccah, Danuka Yadava and hosted by the unmistakable MC Kwasi - taking us from sun-drenched daytime grooves into late-night dancefloor territory deep inside The Carlton. As always, the Cookout is about more than just music. We're bringing together some of the city's favourite food traders and BBQ specialists, including African Suya & Grill, Knights BBQ, Broke N Bone, Osak Local and Gingers Emporium, serving everything from live-fire grills and jollof to Jamaican barbecue, Japanese flavours and ice cream for the sunshine sessions. We also have some family-friendly activities taking place in the first couple of hours - more on this to be announced. Expect craft beer, outdoor dancing, good people, family-friendly daytime vibes, dogs roaming the courtyard, and the kind of atmosphere that only happens when Manchester's communities, collectives and music lovers all come together in one place. Whether you joined us last year or this is your first Cookout, this is once more set to be Manchester's best BBQ party of the summer. Saturday 25th July 12PM - 2AM The Carlton Club, Manchester
