The Undertones emerged from Derry in 1976, the result of five friends learning how to play basic rock and roll. Practicing in their bedrooms eventually led to the band recording ‘Teenage Kicks’ in 1978 on Terri Hooley's Good Vibrations label in Belfast. The legendary DJ John Peel received a copy and liked it so much he played it twice in a row on his radio show.

Michael Shannon & Jason Narducy And Friends announce a 2025 U.S. tour celebrating the 40th anniversary of R.E.M.’s iconic 1985 album, Fables of the Reconstruction. After the pair’s acclaimed, sold out run honoring R.E.M.’s famed debut album Murmur, which saw the four original members of R.E.M. come together for the first time in 17 years at the tour’s Athens stop, the Fables tour will take Shannon & Narducy to nearly three times as many cities across the country, including shows in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, Philadelphia, and more, along with two nights in R.E.M.’s hometown of Athens, GA. Kicking off Friday, Feb. 14th at Pappy & Harriets in Pioneertown, CA, the tour will see Shannon & Narducy—alongside Jon Wurster (drums), John Stirratt (bass), Dag Juhlin (guitar), and Vijay Tellis-Nayak (keyboards)—playing Fables of the Reconstruction in full each night in addition to many other R.E.M. songs. Shannon, an actor/musician known best for his film/series/stage work, and Narducy (Bob Mould Band, Superchunk, Sunny Day Real Estate, Verböten, Split Single) have been collaborating for the last eleven years, playing entire albums by some of their favorite artists such as Neil Young, The Modern Lovers, Bob Dylan, The Smiths, and T. The Toronto-based electronic collective Holy Fck were formed in 2004 by Graham Walsh and Brian Borcherdt. The Afghan Whigs were a seminal part of the 90’s alt rock explosion in America and were amongst the first bands to be snatched up by iconic label Sub Pop. Cabaret Voltaire was a British electronic music band formed in Sheffield, England in 1973 by Stephen Mallinder, Richard H. Kirk, and Chris Watson. Named after the Dada movement's founding nightclub in Zurich, Cabaret Voltaire pioneered industrial music, blending surrealist experimentation with DIY punk and Brian Eno's sonic tech geekery. Their early work involved DIY electronics and tape recorders, evolving into synthpop, dance, house, and funk styles.

Good in that this can be a younger child with a head stuffed with phrases which are his weapons and telling his fact and a guitar that could be a machine gun of riffing. That is the teenage frontline with poetry and scrubbed acoustic guitar uneven chords and a poetic indignant voice stuffed with ardour and melody.

California-born but now based in Manchester, Jesca Hoop is what you’d call a musician’s musician. Discovered by Tom Waits, and brought on tour by Peter Gabriel to sing in his band, it was a phone call from Elbow’s Guy Garvey that saw her move to the UK.　 Her recent album "Stonechild", produced by John Parish (PJ Harvey, Aldous Harding, This is the Kit), received huge acclaim from fans and critics alike, and it’s easy to see why: her beautiful songs, rooted in the folk tradition are intricately detailed, acoustic-led pieces that teem with ideas.

In Antony Szmierek’s case, it’s all three: the fly-on-the-wall, street-lamp-lit aesthetic of his incredibly hopeful breakthrough “Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Fallacy” is smooth and clear. The club-ready roller coasted into view with absurdist everyday-isms, flashing-light feelings and late-night philosophies, all told atop a looping piano that seemed to be coasting off day-after euphoria. 
 What Szmierek does is document incredibly specific details from his life, and others. It’s about making music that tells stories and makes him feel good. Having spent time working as a teacher throughout his twenties, he’s learned the value of “communities, people and empathy. All of these things I value as part of my personality now, I learned while teaching.” Szmierek says the ultimate mission of his music is to let others know that this is all possible.

The Amazons are a blistering, melodic rock quartet from Reading. Finnish quartet The Rasmus formed in Helsinki in 1995 while frontman Lauri Ylönen, bassist Eero Heinonen, guitarist Pauli Rantasalmi, and drummer Jarno Lahti were all still in school. Lahti left after only a year, replaced by Janne Heiskanen, and the band went on to release their funk-rock influenced debut Peep in 1996. By the following year, they’d already won an EMMA (the Finnish Grammys) for Best Newcomer.

Drink The Sea is a new supergroup of world-renowned musicians who are considered to be some of the best songwriters in their bands from the 1990s. They include: Peter Buck, the founding guitarist and songwriter for R.E.M. His collaborations with other bands and singer-songwriters spans dozens of albums across 40 years. His collaborations with Drink The Sea member, Barrett Martin, includes work on over 40 albums to date. Duke Garwood, a revered British singer-songwriter and guitarist who has made multiple solo albums. He has also collaborated on albums with Screaming Trees singer, Mark Lanegan. Alain Johannes, a Chilean-American producer, multi-instrumentalist, and singer songwriter who founded the band Eleven. His virtuosic skills have been tapped by several artists including Chris Cornell, PJ Harvey, Queens Of The Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures, and many others. Barrett Martin, a Grammy-winning producer who was also the drummer and a songwriter for the Seattle band Screaming Trees, as well as the supergroup Mad Season. He formed the instrumental group, Tuatara, with Peter Buck and has worked on over 200 albums as a producer and session musician, playing on albums for R.E.M., Queens Of The Stone Age, Brazilian superstar Nando Reis, and various singer-songwriters. Lisette Garcia, a Mexican-American percussionist who has played on multiple albums from around the world. She has also worked as a song-translator for albums made in South America.

Noasis is the definitive tribute band to Manchester’s five-piece super group Oasis. Formed by die hard Oasis fans back in 2006, the band has toured extensively and has justly earned its reputation as the leader of the pack. This is more than a tribute band this is Oasis from a parallel universe. With an obsessive attention to detail the band recreates the real Oasis experience with amazing energy playing all the classic songs as if they were their own.

Proving that loud, gritty, and ranting punk rock is still alive and thrashing in Canada, Toronto's Cancer Bats employ a punishing blend of hardcore punk, metalcore, Southern rock, and sludge metal. Citing a wide berth of musical inspirations including Black Flag, Down, Led Zeppelin, Entombed, and Black Sabbath -- they have toured Canada as a Sabbath cover band under the moniker Bat Sabbath -- they emerged in 2006 with the hard-hitting Birthing the Giant. They caught fire in the early 2010s, earning Juno Award nominations for 2011's Bears, Mayors, Scraps & Bones and 2013's Dead Set on Living, and have remained at the forefront of the Canadian hardcore scene with subsequent efforts like The Spark That Moves (2018) and Psychic Jailbreak (2022).
