Michael Shannon & Jason Narducy And Friends announce a 2025 U.S. tour celebrating the 40th anniversary of R.E.M.’s iconic 1985 album, Fables of the Reconstruction. After the pair’s acclaimed, sold out run honoring R.E.M.’s famed debut album Murmur, which saw the four original members of R.E.M. come together for the first time in 17 years at the tour’s Athens stop, the Fables tour will take Shannon & Narducy to nearly three times as many cities across the country, including shows in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, Philadelphia, and more, along with two nights in R.E.M.’s hometown of Athens, GA. Kicking off Friday, Feb. 14th at Pappy & Harriets in Pioneertown, CA, the tour will see Shannon & Narducy—alongside Jon Wurster (drums), John Stirratt (bass), Dag Juhlin (guitar), and Vijay Tellis-Nayak (keyboards)—playing Fables of the Reconstruction in full each night in addition to many other R.E.M. songs. Snot is an American punk band from Santa Barbara, California, originally formed in 1995. Known for blending punk rock, hardcore, and funk influences, featured Lynn Strait as the charismatic lead vocalist, along with the lead guitarist Mikey Doling, bassist John Fahnestock, drummer Jamie Miller, and later, Sonny Mayo on guitar. The first full-length album, Get Some, released in 1997, became iconic for its aggressive sound and Strait's raw, confrontational lyrics. The album received praise for its energy and distinctive fusion of punk and metal elements, positioning Snot as part of the emerging nu-metal scene, alongside bands like Korn and Limp Bizkit, with whom they often shared the stage. Unfortunately, the band's career was cut short in 1998 when Lynn Strait tragically died in a car accident, along with his dog, Dobbs, who was featured on the cover of Get Some. Following Strait's death, the band dissolved, but Snot's impact continued, and Snot developed a devoted cult following. In 2000, Mikey Doling produced Strait Up, a tribute album that featured guest vocalists from various bands performing unreleased Snot tracks as a tribute to Strait's memory. Over the years, SNOT's music has maintained its influence within the punk and metal communities as the legendary punk band.

Co-founded by the legendary underground producer Adrian Sherwood, African Head Charge is a globally-acclaimed, pioneering dub-reggae ensemble led by original co-founder, master percussionist and royal rastaman, Bonjo Lyabhinghi Noah. The U.K. Subs are a British punk rock band formed in London in 1976 by frontman Charlie Harper, combining the raw energy of punk with rock and roll and R&B influences. The Toronto-based electronic collective Holy Fck were formed in 2004 by Graham Walsh and Brian Borcherdt. They were known primarily for improvising on-stage with a variety of electronic devices strewn across a table and held together with duct tape. Described as "blip-hoppers" and "a shabbily dressed Kraftwerk," Holy Fck create lo-fi electronic noise music with old analogue musical and non-musical instruments, including a 35mm film synchronizer. La Dispute (formed in 2004) is an American progressive post-hardcore rock band hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan, in the U.S. Formed of cousins Jordan Dreyer on vocals and Brad Vander Lugt on drums, La Dispute invited guitarists Kevin Whittemore and Derek Sterenberg, and bassist Adam Kool to complete the line-up. The band’s earliest performances came around the local area, largely in people’s front rooms and at the Division Avenue Arts Collective (local arts centre) in Downtown Grand Rapids. La Dispute released their debut EP “Vancouver” in 2006 marking the departure of Chad Sternberg who was replaced by his older brother Derek. The material was the only release La Dispute would make through Friction Records and the group didn’t consider themselves a serious band until the arrival of Adam Vass and departure of Derek Sternberg and Adam Kool.

Maxïmo Park are an English alternative rock band formed in Newcastle upon Tyne in 2000. Fronted by the poetically-inclined Paul Smith, they are celebrated for their spiky, anthemic, art-pop sound.

The Afghan Whigs were a seminal part of the 90’s alt rock explosion in America and were amongst the first bands to be snatched up by iconic label Sub Pop. Formed in 1986, the band announced their arrival to the world two years later with the release of their debut album Big Top Halloween. This was followed by the further titles Up In It, Congregation, Gentlemen, Black Love and 1965. Following a 16 year hiatus of new material, the band released their critically acclaimed and Top 40 album Do To The Beast in 2014.

Cabaret Voltaire was a British electronic music band formed in Sheffield, England in 1973 by Stephen Mallinder, Richard H. Kirk, and Chris Watson. Named after the Dada movement's founding nightclub in Zurich, Cabaret Voltaire pioneered industrial music, blending surrealist experimentation with DIY punk and Brian Eno's sonic tech geekery. Their early work involved DIY electronics and tape recorders, evolving into synthpop, dance, house, and funk styles.

Oxford favourites play the hometown finale of their ‘StorNoMore’ tour. Having recorded & toured together for over a decade, the quartet will bring their unique brand of homegrown "hebridean headrush" indie folk back to the town where they first honed it, and which their lyrics describe.

Seb Lowe has burst out of nowhere. (Okay Saddleworth…) with an upcoming 7 monitor mini-album that’s excellent for the second. Good in that this can be a younger child with a head stuffed with phrases which are his weapons and telling his fact and a guitar that could be a machine gun of riffing. That is the teenage frontline with poetry and scrubbed acoustic guitar uneven chords and a poetic indignant voice stuffed with ardour and melody.

California-born but now based in Manchester, Jesca Hoop is what you’d call a musician’s musician. Discovered by Tom Waits, and brought on tour by Peter Gabriel to sing in his band, it was a phone call from Elbow’s Guy Garvey that saw her move to the UK.　 Her recent album "Stonechild", produced by John Parish (PJ Harvey, Aldous Harding, This is the Kit), received huge acclaim from fans and critics alike, and it’s easy to see why: her beautiful songs, rooted in the folk tradition are intricately detailed, acoustic-led pieces that teem with ideas.

Started as a fun experiment in the kitchen of a house in Perrystown, The Scratch are a 4-piece acoustic act from Dublin, Ireland. Born from a shared love of acoustic guitar, metal and traditional Irish music, The Scratch have moulded triumphant melodies with the groove and intensity of metal.

Having spent time working as a teacher throughout his twenties, he’s learned the value of “communities, people and empathy. Finnish quartet The Rasmus formed in Helsinki in 1995 while frontman Lauri Ylönen, bassist Eero Heinonen, guitarist Pauli Rantasalmi, and drummer Jarno Lahti were all still in school. Lahti left after only a year, replaced by Janne Heiskanen, and the band went on to release their funk-rock influenced debut Peep in 1996.
