And how right he was as this talented cast have the banter, the style and, most importantly, the voices of the famous threesome. It was easy to believe you had been transported back a few decades to the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas and were watching an original Christmas special from these three giant talents. The lovely seasonal set at the Wyllyotts Theatre added to the magical atmosphere and the four-piece band were outstanding musicians. Mr Alacey performs My Way with great panache and he has the Hoboken accent down to a fine art as he introduces his buddy Dean who comes up with terrific lines like: My mother-inlaws 86 years old. She doesnt need glasses she drinks straight out of the bottle as he performs hits like Little Ol Wine Drinker and Everybody Loves Somebody. David makes being Sinatra look easy as he glides through classics including You Make Me Feel So Young, Fly Me To The Moon, Ive Got You Under My Skin and New York New York. This was a Yuletide show full of surprises and delights with no fewer than two special guests. If you get a chance to see this exemplary Rat Pack tribute show (at any time of the year) dont miss it.
