Focus

Focus

4 Sept 2026 - 4 Sept 2026

With their unique brand of progressive rock, Focus manifested themselves at the start of the '70s as the most successful and appreciated of all the Dutch pop-rock exports. Fronted by founding member Thijs Van Leer, and best known for their hits "Hocus Pocus", "House of The King" and "Sylvia", as well as critically acclaimed albums 'Moving Waves', 'Focus 3' and 'Hamburger Concerto', the iconic Dutch music masters are back with their tenth album, which is guaranteed to please their legions of fans! After a comeback in the early 2000s, which resulted in the well-received albums 'Focus 8' and 'Focus 9', the band regrouped with a fantastic new line-up. Along with Thijs van Leer on vocals, flute and keyboards, back on the drums is famed Focus drummer Pierre van der Linden, who joined the group on their second album 'Moving Waves' in 1972. Internationally renowned for his rhythmic skills, Pierre remains a defining factor in the Focus sound. Guitarist Menno Gootjes, who participated in Focus at an earlier stage, and acclaimed bass player Udo Pannekeet, complete the band's current line-up. Recently, Focus's biggest hit, "Hocus Pocus" was used in a 4-minute Nike commercial before the World Cup broadcast. Focus music can be regularly heard on Top Gear and Saxondale on TV in the UK. A new Focus era has arrived! There is a rejuvenated passion amongst the band as they released the first studio album for 6 years, Focus 11, in early 2019. They toured the world in support of the new album, and are now excited re their 50th Anniversary tour. Unfortunately, the world situation had halted the 50th Anniversary celebrations, but Focus now are happy touring the world again. Eagerly awaited, we are pleased to announce the forthcoming release of FOCUS 12, the brand new studio album from Focus. For Thijs van Leer (75) and Pierre van der Linden (78), age is nothing more than a number. Both continue to contribute to Focus with a passion. Thijs, who has written the majority of the new album, rises at 4.30 am every day in order to work on his compositions. Whilst the album boasts some of Pierre's greatest and most energetic drum sequences to date. Allowing the younger guard to take the audio reins for the first time, Focus 12 is produced by band members Udo Pannekeet and Menno Gootjes, who also contribute two compositions on the album. Thijs commented, How beautiful life can be when a band plays so easily and so together. Focus 12 was recorded at the world-renowned Wisseloord Studios in the band's native country, of the Netherlands. A first for Focus, the album features a completely improvised piece which was captured as it spontaneously took place in the studio, during the recording process. Thus proving that more than 50 years on, the band are still excited by undertaking something new and different. Van Leer continues, Thanks, Pierre, Udo and Menno for so much musical passion! The band continue their long association with legendary artist Roger Dean, whose stunning artwork graces the front cover and packaging. The vinyl version features a stunning gatefold sleeve. Focus continues to be one of the hardest working rock bands on the planet, regularly touring the globe playing live. Last July, they undertook a string of live dates across the USA and Canada, as part of Asia's Heat Of The Moment Tour, alongside Asia, Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash and Curved Air. Thijs van Leer concludes, After all these years, Focus is in the here and now; the triumph of survival!

When Ronnie Lane left the Faces and formed Slim Chance, little did he dream the band would still be touring the country, delighting fans and enjoying playing together in the spirit that he championed so magnificently. Since the band reformed in 2010 it has been through various incarnations, but is still going strong, showcasing Ronnie's classic songs and a few originals with great musicianship, humour and energy. On this gig two original members - Steve Bingham (bass, vocals) and Charlie Hart (accordion, fiddle, vocals), will be joined by Des Horsfall, (guitar and vocals), Frank Mead (saxes, harp, whistle, vocals), Sean Nolan (guitar) and Brendan ONeill on drums; the band's set will feature many of Ronnie's classic and much loved songs: Ooh La La, Debris, How Come, One for the Road, The Poacher. The rebirth of Slim Chance is a phenomenon in itself. The band features top quality musicianship and has received many great reviews as they convincingly recreate Ronnie's uniquely ruralised, soul-and-groove brand of folk-rock, with a rough-shod, rollicking sound of their own, the party is already in full swing.

Small Fakers

Small Fakers

17 Jul 2026 - 17 Jul 2026

The Small Fakers were officially launched on a chilly night in February 2007 at a central London shindig attended by fans and associates of the East End's very own fab four, the seminal, sensational Small Faces. The buzz in the audience that night was intense. Could the SMALL FAKERS even hope to come close to replicating the sound, and the look, of the Small Faces Cut to the end of the night, and the band have ripped through twenty classic tracks, from Whatcha Gonna Do About It to Tin Soldier with effortless style and swagger, and the audience is almost delirious with excitement and satisfaction. The Fakers have delivered the goods. Today, The Small Fakers are established in the Premiership of tribute acts. They have built a terrific international reputation for themselves as the only Small Faces tribute band in the world, and have played to sell-out audiences in Italy, Spain, Switzerland and the Republic of Ireland, and all over the UK. They have played the Isle of Wight festival four times since forming, and in 2008, the day after headlining the festival with his fellow Sex Pistols, bass player Glen Matlock joined The Fakers onstage to perform what many people regard as the Small Faces ultimate track, their 1966 number one All Or Nothing. Small faces The band have also performed with original Small Face Jimmy Winston, who claimed the Fakers were 'much better live than the Small Faces were.' and original drummer Kenney Jones - who also played with Rod Stewart and The Faces and The Who - when he joined the band for a rendition of 'All or Nothing' at Hurtwood Park Polo Club in 2012. He also praised the Small Fakers as being 'Really great, absolutely spot on.' Children, siblings and parents of the original band members have declared themselves Fakers fans too, with Ronnie Lane's older brother Stan even claiming: 'For those who never saw The Small Faces live, The Fakers are as close as you're gonna get.'

Her original music has taken her all over the world, from China to Japan, from playing The Royal Albert Hall in London with Ben Folds as well as with Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox, to opening for Kris Kristofferson as well as playing at Carnegie Hall with songwriting legend Jimmy Webb. Ashley's sophomore album, Something Lovely (produced by friend and co-writer of Remembering Kai Welch) was released October 9, 2020, featuring a duet with Vince Gill on If I Wasnt. Her lyrics seem to have a lived in quality with a striking sense of self-awareness and acceptance. The first single I See You, penned by Ashley & released in December 2024, shines a light on being present and constant for the people we care deeply for. Im right here my love. I see you. A true powerhouse of a songwriter, listeners can expect to see Ashley float like a butterfly and sting like a bee with beautiful ballads about finding real love through finding yourself in I Found You right alongside zingers like POS, a witty mariachi-inspired tune where she calls out the man who cheated on her friend. Ashley has been living in London since 2023 and continues to make her mark in the Country and Americana scene across the UK and Europe. Dont miss her on The Goodnight Nashville Tour starting in the UK and Ireland this November and going on into 2026.
