Because of the nature of their music, their fan base is one that is far reaching while always retaining an ‘underground element’. This paradox sees the band, who are known primarily as serious jazz/funk musicians, enjoying both high ‘cult’ status and instant recognition as a household name.

British AOR veterans FM were formed around the trio of Steve Overland, his brother Chris, and Pete Jupp. The three initially formed the band Wildlife in 1980 and recorded Burning for Chrysalis. Their second album, Wildlife, included drummer Simon Kirke (ex-Free, Bad Company) and was produced by Mick Ralphs.

Don't miss this special afternoon matinee full of songs from The Sea and The Land. Isle ave a Shanty are a 6-piece A Cappella male harmony group singing Shanties with comedy out of the Isle of Ely. They specialise in traditional songs from the sea and the country in a folk style as well as putting a folk twist on some modern classics! They are a rarity in being a sea shanty band from a landlocked county but they bring their own style to traditional songs and songs they wrote themselves. Their live show is all about camaraderie, fun and interaction. He is best known for releasing the hit single The One And Only, from the film’s soundtrack. Written by another Jack Up The 80s favourite Nik Kershaw, who appeared at the event last year, the song was later featured in the opening credits of Doc Hollywood (1991), starring Michael J. Fox.

Nine Below Zero released their classic debut LP 'Live at the Marquee' in 1980, the band kept the momentum going with 'Don't Point Your Finger' in 1981 before releasing their third and final LP on A&M Records, 'Third Degree' (1982). Nine Below Zero toured with The Who and The Kinks around the time of this LP and also appeared on 'The Old Grey Whistle Test', and 'The South Bank Show'. Dr. Feelgood formed on Canvey Island in Essex in the early 1970's and have enjoyed a string of hit singles in many countries including 'Milk & Alcohol', 'Down at the Doctors', 'Roxette', 'She's a Wind Up' and 'See You Later Alligator'. The current line-up of Dr. Feelgood is led by their drummer Kevin Morris, and features Gordon Russell on lead guitar, Phil Mitchell on bass and charismatic vocalist, Robert Kane.
