The List

Corporation

Corporation is an award-winning music venue (with nods from both Kerrang and Metal Hammer, thank you very much), the sort of small and well-worn place where young bands aim to play before they move on up to the big times. In addition to rock and metal gigs, the venue puts on a smattering of weekly alternative club nights that run into the wee hours of the morning. Encompassing three floors and six bars, the Corp was opened in 1997 at its original Bank Street location, moving to its current spot on Milton Street in 2002. Corporation is located walking distance from West Street Tramstop, with the tram connecting the venue to bus and train stations as well.

Fronted by the powerhouse vocals of Anna Shields, alongside Blair Crichton (guitar), Liam Adams (bass), and Euan Lyons (drums), they fuse elements of alt-rock, punk, and nu-metal into a sound that is both raw and infectious. Bursting onto the scene in 2020, Dead Pony quickly gained attention for their ferocious riffs, punchy rhythms, and anthemic choruses. Singles like "Sharp Tongues" and "23, Never Me" cemented their place as one of the most exciting new bands in UK rock. Their debut EP, War Boys (2022), showcased their ability to blend driving guitar hooks with gritty, attitude-packed vocals, drawing comparisons to Paramore, The Prodigy, and N.E.R.D. In 2024, Dead Pony took things to the next level with the release of their debut album Ignore This, a hard-hitting collection of tracks packed with energy, attitude, and undeniable hooks. The album’s success fueled their 'Ignore This' headline tour, which saw several dates sell out. Renowned for their explosive live performances, Dead Pony have played Reading and Leeds, Glastonbury, TRNSMT and are set to make their Download Festival debut in 2025. They have shared stages with Black Honey, Against the Current, The Mysterines, Kid Kapichi, The Warning, Mother Mother, The Blackout, and are currently joining You Me At Six on select dates of their final UK tour. Covenant

Covenant

3 Dec 2026 - 6 Dec 2026

Covenant! The name stands for exceptional dedication, class and a brotherhood, stronger than blood. Covenant's name, with its biblical overtones, may have been a bit ambitious for an up-and-coming teen band from southern Sweden armed with rudimentary electronics, but in the end, this combination turned out to be extremely suitable. Whether life imitates art piece by piece or art imitates life is debatable, either way the band's moniker ended in perfectly bringing the band's vision, grandeur and brotherhood to the point.

Hayseed Dixie

Hayseed Dixie

6 Jun 2026 - 31 Oct 2026

Hayseed Dixie began in the summer of 2000 in the fertile valley of Deer Lick Holler, deep in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains of East Tennessee USA. In this area which was completely isolated from outside cultural and musical influence, the boys grew up playing the traditional music of their forefathers on banjo, fiddle, mandolin, acoustic guitar and acoustic bass. All of this changed abruptly one afternoon when a stranger crashed his car into a stately old oak tree on a particularly dangerous curve, which the locals refer to as the Devil's Elbow. Sadly, the stranger expired, but his legacy lives on! As the boys searched through the wreckage looking for identification, they discovered several vinyl AC/DC albums. After playing these back on an old Edison 78rpm Victrola, everyone agreed that the songs were right fine country music . . . and that the Lost Highway of Brother Hank Williams and this Highway To Hell of AC/DC were indeed the exact same damn road! And the rest is now enshrined in musical history. Most recently, Hayseed Dixie are exploring the inspired catalogue of the stadium rock of the 1970's and 1980's. This interest began during a 2014 Spring tour of Germany, in which the band heard the song Eye of the Tiger 6 different times on 6 different German radio stations in a single day while driving between Dortmund and Frankfurt. As the seed is planted, so the tree shall grow - this very quote appears on the inner sleeve of the 1980 album Escape by Journey. How very true indeed.
