Soon he slips back into his old ways as a sneaky chicken thief and in doing so, endangers not only his beloved family, but the whole animal community. ET -- The Extra-Terrestrial

ET -- The Extra-Terrestrial

5 Jul 2025 - 30 Aug 2025

For the 20th anniversary of this fable about a peaceful alien marooned on Earth, Spielberg dusted off his beloved original and re-released it in a new and improved form featuring digital tinkering (ET's eyes, for example, have been 'enhanced' to make him appear more alien) and never before screened scenes such as ET having a bath. But most interesting is the excision of all the firearms - the American authorities chasing ET and his human friend Elliot are now armed with nothing more threatening than mobile phones. There's something a bit precious about this kind of cleansing of the film. Still, as a fantasy adventure for kids and 'adult kids' alike, 'ET' remains some kind of modern classic.

While assuming the role of a dutiful guardian in the country, Jack lets loose in town under a false identity. Meanwhile, his friend Algy adopts a similar facade. Hoping to impress two eligible ladies, the gentlemen find themselves caught in a web of lies they must carefully navigate. Max Webster ( Life of Pi ) directs this hilarious story of identity, impersonation and romance, filmed live from the National Theatre in London.

When a rogue U.S General triggers a nuclear attack, a surreal race takes place, seeing the Government and one eccentric scientist scramble to avert global destruction. This explosively funny satire is led by a world-renowned creative team including Emmy Award-winner Armando Iannucci (The Thick of It, Veep) and Olivier Award-winner Sean Foley (The Upstart Crow, The Play What I Wrote).
Matilda

Matilda

29 Jun 2025 - 4 Aug 2025

Capturing the delicious wickedness of Roald Dahl's writing, director De Vito fully exploits exaggeration and playful camera work to tell the tale of a gifted child who uses her super brain to outwit her neglectful parents. Offsetting the loveable Matilda against a series of horribly inflated bad characters, the film's empowering message for children will appeal to the mischevious kid in everyone.

Robin Hood and Little John, walkin' through the forest . . . Disney's classic version of the legend.
Song of the Sea

Song of the Sea

5 Aug 2025 - 25 Aug 2025

Besides looking charming -- and wondrously beautiful where appropriate -- the English-language version of this enchanting animated feature boasts many strong vocal talents as it tells the story of the last of the selkies, a child named Saoirse. It is shaped from its director's love of Irish legend, folklore, nature and culture, and makes for a beguiling blend of the unfamiliar and culturally specific with the universally appealing.
Moana

Moana

6 Jul 2025 - 23 Aug 2025

Moana (Carvalho) is a plucky Polynesian girl who revives the voyaging tradition of her island tribe, with the help of buffoonish demigod Maui (Johnson, exuberantly sending himself up.) The unabashed positivity is pure Disney but Bush's zingy screenplay satirises the studio's princess obsession and there's a refreshing lack of a love interest. A spirited, vividly realised and genuinely rousing adventure.
The BFG

The BFG

6 Aug 2025 - 26 Aug 2025

Eight year old Sophie (Barnhill) looks out her window one evening to discover something terrifying -- the Big Friendly Giant (Rylance), who unlike his giant brothers doesn't actually want to eat her. Magical, funny and surprising stuff from Spielberg, lacking only some of the menace of Dahl's original, but genuinely heartwarming.

Elio

20 Jun 2025 - 2 Sept 2025

In Disney and Pixar’s Elio, the universe calls on the most unlikely ambassador: an 11-year-old boy with a vivid imagination and a heart full of wonder. Elio (voiced by Yonas Kibreab) is a dreamy, creative kid who often feels out of place on Earth—until a mysterious cosmic event catapults him across the galaxy. Mistakenly identified as Earth's official representative by a council of alien civilizations, Elio is thrust into the heart of a sprawling intergalactic adventure. Guided only by his courage, curiosity and quirky charm, Elio must navigate a strange and spectacular new world where first contact becomes a crash course in diplomacy, identity and self-discovery. With the support of his brilliant mother Olga (voiced by Zoe Saldaña) and a cast of eccentric extraterrestrials, Elio embarks on a journey that’s as emotionally rich as it is visually stunning. Elio is a heartfelt cosmic coming-of-age tale that explores what it truly means to find your place in the universe. Also starring Brad Garrett, Elio is a dazzling, interstellar Pixar adventure that reminds us that sometimes, the most powerful force in the universe is simply being yourself.
