The aim of this Summer School is to teach students, aged 8-18 years, the performing arts skills covering acting, singing and dancing and how these disciplines combine to create a performance. We will be working on aspects of characterisation and movement with the aim of putting on a 60-minute production of The Little Mermaid at the end of the week. Each day will begin with a warm-up and then students will go into sessions based on acting, dancing and singing. They will be issued with the scripts and immediately start working on the show. As well as developing their performance skills, we will also be working with them on creating the props, sourcing the costumes and building the set. The aim is to experience all aspects of a production and how everything comes together.

Award winning producer and broadcaster Steve Morgan has captivated thousands of people on his celebrated Ripper walks through the east-end of London, where he retraces the steps of the notorious killer through the streets he stalked. Now he has adapted the story for the stage and invites you to spend an evening in the company of Jack the Ripper and live to tell the tale.

Please join us for an evening of magic, love and laughter. With a company of 6 actors, Cygnet will recreate Shakespeare's enchanting and mischievous comedy. Watch mayhem unfold in fairyland with Oberon and Puck, Titania and Bottom, and a host of fairies and several bewildered young lovers. You are invited to enjoy this performance in the beautiful garden relaxing in a chair and enjoying a picnic as the sun goes down. Some chairs provided but bring yours if possible and blankets and picnic!

After launching in Spring 2025, this is a no-audition choir for adults who like to sing, socialise and have fun! Each term, the music will be inspired by the Northcott’s shows and productions – ranging from classic musical theatre and show tunes to moving sea shanties inspired by our South West roots. Rehearsals will take place weekly at the Cygnet Theatre and the choir will become an exciting part of the Northcott family, performing regularly in our venues and at theatre events. The Blue Vanguard is a monthly jazz club dedicated to bringing the finest national and international guests to our home town of Exeter. The club has run successfully since September 2011 and has a loyal following.

In her new one woman show, Un/Earthed, Inez Aponte follows a fragile thread back in time to meet the mothers, grandmothers and great grandmothers that carried her family to safety and freedom. Seamlessly combining biographical accounts with reworkings of Surinamese folklore she creates a new map of home, rootedness and belonging.

With just four actors, some instruments and story-telling at its best, this production is sure both to entice and delight you as we follow head-strong Bathsheba Everdene and the quest for her hand in marriage.

The Planet and Us is a fusion of short scenes that explore and address our relationship with, and impact on the planet. Contemporary and classic texts are threaded together to create a new scrapbook style production.
