Sherborne Rock Choir
4 Jun 2025 - 3 Nov 2025
If you have ever thought 'I want to join a choir near me in Sherborne?' then why not join your local Rock Choir.
The Sherborne Rock Choir is led by singer/pianist Andrew Hollick. The choir will be performing locally again soon so it's a chance for you to join in, sing and perform without pressure and under the supportive guidance of Andrew. Rock Choir members have performed and sung across the country at venues including Wembley Stadium for the record breaking Saracens versus Harlequins rugby league game in 2012, on top of the BT tower and many more iconic landmarks. The choir also has a charitable function in raising money and awareness for Missing People and Refuge.
Joining a choir can be a brave step to take for some and in light of this Andrew tries to make it as easy as possible for you by giving the opportunity to have a FREE taster session and then to have a chat with him about singing. Rock Choir is the leading group in community singing. We launched our FREE choir taster sessions back in 2005 and have 20 years experience giving members of the public who are new to community singing the chance to try joining a choir without the need to audition or read music.
Here is a quote about our choir - 'If you want to smile and sing for an hour and a half, go to Rock Choir. Getting on stage is so rewarding and when your 6 year-old says how proud he is of his mummy, then it's worth every moment!' - Caroline Jopling (Rock Choir Member)
Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award [https://rockchoir.com/awards-achievements/]. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
