With the band's final album in the works, The Dickies have somehow managed to be one of the longest-running punk bands in the world. inU x OSCURA (Patrice Bäumel & Dave Seaman)
inU x OSCURA lands at Digital Nightclub, Newcastle on 6th June, delivering a night of forward-thinking house and techno, anchored by two artists whose names are deeply woven into the fabric of electronic music culture. Patrice Bäumel, an artist whose sound has become synonymous with depth, tension, and emotional precision. Patice Bäumel rose to prominence through releases on labels such as Kompakt and Afterlife, where his hypnotic, melodic approach found a global audience. His Global Underground album marked a defining moment in his career - a nuanced, slow-burning mix that showcased his ability to balance restraint with power, atmosphere with propulsion. Rather than relying on peak-time theatrics, Bäumel's GU contribution unfolded as a carefully plotted narrative, earning widespread acclaim for its sophistication and musical intelligence. Joining him is Dave Seaman, a true legend of the Electronic Music movement and one of Global Underground's most influential contributors. Few DJs can claim a legacy as enduring or as impactful. Seaman's Global Underground releases are regarded as cornerstone documents of late-90s and early-2000s club culture - mixes that defined an era when progressive house was about storytelling, patience, and emotional resonance. Decades on, his sound remains unmistakable: warm, rolling, and impeccably controlled, delivered with the confidence of someone who helped write the rulebook. Dave Seaman behind the decks is less about nostalgia and more about timeless craft. Support comes from Liverpool's Paul James Nolan, Nolan's sets are fluid and considered, balancing subtle tension with dancefloor drive - a fitting addition to a bill built on musical journey rather than quick impact. Completing the lineup are inU's own Gav Easby and OSCURA's SOBAH, two selectors representing the ethos of their respective collectives. Both are known for building atmosphere with intent, setting the tone through carefully layered house and techno that prioritises flow, depth, and connection over gimmicks. inU x OSCURA at Digital Nightclub is a meeting point between generations, scenes, and sounds - from Global Underground heritage to contemporary melodic techno - delivered in one of Newcastle's most respected club spaces. For those who value progression over peaks and storytelling over spectacle, this is a night that speaks your language.

The track spent six weeks on BBC Radio 1s A-list and remains central to their live sets. Since signing to Defected Records in 2023, Oden & Fatzo have continued to build momentum with releases including Lady Love (with Camden Cox), Tell Me What You Want (with Poppy Baskcomb), plus 2025 releases Only You and Only For Tonight. inU x OSCURA 1st Birthday Bash! (Eelke Kleijn & Henry Saiz)
Over the past twelve months, inU x OSCURA has quietly carved out its own space in the underground - built on trust in the music, patience and curating a journey for the dancefloor. On Friday 4th July, the collective marks its first birthday by scaling up without selling out, taking over Digital before the summer break! inU x OCURA is proud to present Eelke Kleijn, an artist whose relationship with melody has always felt more architectural than functional. Kleijn's sets unfold with restraint and confidence, drawing dancers in with long arcs of tension, cinematic atmospheres, and progressive house that prioritises emotion over immediacy. His music doesn't shout for attention - it commands it, slowly and deliberately - making him a natural fit for a night that values depth, patience, and payoff. Joining the party, Henry Saiz brings a more restless, exploratory energy. Long respected for his genre-agnostic approach, Saiz treats the DJ booth as a space for experimentation rather than expectation. Progressive, techno, and left-field electronics are stitched together with instinct and intent, resulting in sets that feel less like performances and more like conversations with the room. It's cerebral club music that never forgets the dancefloor. inU's Gav Easby and OSCURA's SOBAH will be providing support, the two selectors deeply embedded in the DNA of the project - set the foundations with carefully considered selections, joined by special guests (TBA), chosen not for hype, but for cohesion. This is not a nostalgia exercise, nor a victory lap. It's a marker in the ground - proof that thoughtful, underground club nights still resonate when given the space to breathe. Tickets will move quickly, and capacity is limited. Secure yours early - this is one birthday bash that won't be repeated, and one that will be talked about long after the final track fades.
