Your Little Seedlings will become scent explorers and learn all about the sweet smells of summer in our gardens, homes and parks. They’ll discover how and why flowers have scents, the happy herbs with the most fragrance and the long history of perfume making. They’ll also have the chance to mix their own petal perfume to take home. Grow How offers you an interactive opportunity to learn from our Green Team and improve your gardening skills. These educational sessions are built to be flexible, fun and interactive. Taking around 30 minutes, you can look forward to a live demonstration followed by a Q&A session, where a member of our Green Team will share their top tips and know-how. Join us on Saturday 2 and Wednesday 6 August at 10.30am and 3.30pm where our Green Team will share their top tips for growing your own fruit and veg. The workshop will cover: Easy sowing Fabulous fruits that are easy to grow at home Getting started with homegrown veggies How to create your own compost Plus a demo on how to grow your own potatoes for Christmas Book your place or join us on the day. This month our Little Seedlings will travel back hundreds of millions of years to learn all about Prehistoric Plants! They’ll start by learning about dinosaurs from different time periods before telling some (very!) tall tales about their favourite dinos. We’ll then learn about the plants that have stood the test of time, outliving the dinosaurs and are still found in our gardens and green spaces today. There’ll also be more games and a chance to make a fossil to take home!
