One of Britain's oldest racecourses, Doncaster has a history of regular race meetings going back to the 16th century. It is home to two of the world's oldest races, the Doncaster Cup and the St Leger Stakes. Doncaster Racecourse is also a leading venue for weddings, conferences, meetings, functions, exhibitions and trade shows. The Racecourse is 2.5 miles from Doncaster Railway Station, which is on the main London to Edinburgh line. A shuttle bus service is available from the interchange at regular intervals on race days.
