Andrea Govo Govoni, singer, songwriter and musician, started his musical career in the early 2000s, going on stage at very young age, from clubs to theatres to big events for well-known names in the star system who were called to entertain their parties with his verve, vocality and knowledge of a vast repertoire of great international classics with mixed with his original songs.
More then twenty years and more then two thousand gigs, collaborating with names like Steven Adler from (Guns nRoses), Paul Vangelisti (Jim Morrison and Janis Joplin poetry companion/author), Paul DiAnno (Iron Maiden) opening and playing for and with Patti Smith , Alanis Morrisette, Chris Jagger (Mick Jagger brother) , Scarlet Rivera (Bob Dylan) Eric Andersen (Johnny Cash and Dylan), Sam Lych (John Lennon), David Richards (Bowie & Queen) The Ark, and obviously many other Italian artists.
After living in London in 2006, he returned to his hometown Modena and then moved permanently to Milan.
An eclectic entertainer, he performs his songs with his voice, piano and guitar, his shows are like a journey through time, full of emotions from a life lived on stage. He is soon to release his second album after the first Cera una volta Andrea Govoni (Once upon a time Andrea Govoni) called "D'amore si nasce, si vive, si muore," and also a book of illustrated poems, "Cento giorni per pensare," distributed by Damster Edizioni Italia. After touring England, France, Germany, California, Greece, Turkey, and Italy this year with an MTV live Show, he will return to his beloved Camden town , accompanied by great musicians including members of the famous Italian band "Le Vibrazioni" to his favourite place the legendary Dublin Castle, to bring his folk rock songs in an English version with some special guests.
Sinistrum - Dazzling folk acoustic trio with the guitar and cajon of Joe and Jackson providing the perfect support for Lydia's rich, chocolatey vocals. Theyve penned a set of original songs that are so addictive youll be hooked after a single exposure, and theyll no doubt treat us to some classic covers too. Not to be missed.
Taking their name from the Latin word for left, (all three band members are left-handed), this folk/acoustic trio bring rich vocal harmonies, heartfelt lyrics and acoustic warmth, creating songs that feel both intimate and uplifting. For this gig at Dublin Castle, the trio will be joined by two additional musicians for the first time to bring their music to life in a brand new way.
What makes Sinistrum stand out is the undeniable connection between its members best friends who light up when they catch each other's eyes on stage, creating a warmth that flows straight into the audience. Expect an evening of connection, energy intimacy, leaving you with a smile on your face and in your heart
Viewed Upon Death - post hardcore, post rock but very much currently groovy. With some psychedelic touches that are redolent of Saucerful Of Secrerts era Pink Floyd at that.
