The Kubricks

The Kubricks

18 Jul 2026 - 18 Jul 2026

After surfacing in 2013 with their debut EP, “Wasters & Wannabes”, The Kubricks soon became one of the must-see ska bands of this generation. Tracks from their debut release were supported by Huey Morgan (6Music) and Tom Robinson (BBC Introducing – 6Music), and The Specials’ bassist, Horace Panter, championed the band, claiming, “I can hear Madness, The Ruts, Squeeze and The Clash in there…” The timing was perfect, and coincided with a new interest in ska music, as many of UK’s festivals began dedicating entire stages to the genre. Riding on the back of this wave, the band soon found themselves supporting legends such UB40, Bad Manners and The Toasters, in addition to sharing the stage with The Skints, Buster Shuffle and Bombskare.

Muser (Muse Tribute)

Muser (Muse Tribute)

17 Apr 2026 - 17 Apr 2026

Muser Muse famously got signed, on the night, in the Dublin Castle, when they played to a sold out room full of hungry A and R types back in in nineteen ninety something. The missing link between Radiohead and Queen last year when these boys came and did their immaculate Musings the audience went mental. Hysteria you might say. There's a lot of love for Muse -ic, and when you can do it this well, in a small but kick ass venue, rather than a Super Massive Black Hole of an enormodome, then you lovers really are in for a treat. We are indeed A- Muse-ed. Plug in, baby. Doctor da Vinci and his Elephant purveyors of punky and yet melodic indie rock, back on the boards for one last prodding of the pop stethoscope, a final touch of paint to the old RocknRoll Renaissance you might say, or perhaps one last shake of the alternorock trunk. These boys. Good job! Matt Camillo - emerging alt-rock singer-songwriter and producer blending artists like Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, and Smashing Pumpkins with a modern emotional edge. Matt writes dark, intimate rock songs about heartbreak, loneliness, and spiritual longing, sung with a unique emotional voice and tenor range.

Definitely in need of an early arrival tonight peopleespecially if The Specials and The Selecter were your skanking bag back in the day, as those giants definitely inform these chaps and chapesses lovely dubby doings. Luke Chappell Very much playing something any Sam Fender fan should enjoy here impassioned Northern indie with some future anthems in the making , what with some great acclamatory singalong hooks. See also Catfish and the Bottlemen, Oasis, The Verve. From sunny Malta via The. Rubella Ballet

Rubella Ballet

18 Apr 2026 - 18 Apr 2026

Rubella Ballet Captain Sensible had prior to the gig suggested that people get to the venue early to see Rubella Ballet As their take on punk is quite unique. Wow what a spectacular show, UV lighting and day-glo clothing designed by Zillah Minx lead singer resplendent in a flood of fluorescence, a siren song to match the power coming from the band now fronted by both Zillah Minx and nearly 7 foot former drummer Sid Truelove who also played for Flux of Pink Indians in the 80' and featured on the Nu Smell EP X-Ray Spex but is now belting out songs with Zillah dressed as elaborately as Minx . The band blast usually out three songs All potential terrorists, Run Run and Planet Punk from their last new album Planet Punk on Overground records. At that point a flashing laser laden cyborg robot emerges from either side of the stage slicing through the smoke with high powered green lasers and dance throughout the rest of the set. Das Fluff Post Punk Electro Filth! Take a bizarre ride to the far side and journey into the world of electro punk provocateurs Das Fluff. Berlin-based Das Fluff are known for their signature blend of high-octane, punk infused instrumentation tinged with fleeting moments of eclectic euphoria. Tara Rez I'm a dreamer and a do-er. Melys

5 May 2026 - 5 May 2026

Melys - Bugbear and Melys go back a very long way. Angkst Records nites in the late 1990s, lots of live dates, and a really exciting time for Welsh bands, something not as well documented as Britpop that probably should be better served well we were very pleased to hear Melys were fit and working again, and double pleased to get them back in The Dublin Castle. Their unique sound an emotive blend of melodic indie, dreamlike atmospheres, and sometimes dark heartfelt lyricism won over BBC radio 1 DJ's John Peel and Huw Stephens, leading to 11 BBC sessions and winning John Peel's 2001 Festive 50 for their fan-favourite track Chinese Whispers. After a long hiatus, Melys returned in style with the 2024 album release of BBC Sessions Vol. 1 and their first new studio album in nearly two decades,Second Wind (2025). No Feelings

No Feelings

12 Apr 2026 - 12 Apr 2026

No Feelings - Authentic punk and sleazy new new wave from London, playing it loose and low slung, but whatcha expect from a band named after a monster Sex Pistols song! The Prods - there might be a bit of early Damned in The Prods too. Tempered with some louche indie rock sensibilities, albeit all thru a punk rock lens, and a very entertaining one at that. Hilarious (and well crafted) songs at times, but fear ye not, theyre not a comedy band. The Prods rock. The Hollows - Blimey what a racket! A bloody beautiful racket. Alice and the Others - Not a typo - not one but two bands called Alice on the bill tonight! Which seems like an opportune time to remind you we hosted a Wolf Alice intimate show a few months ago too! This particular Wonderlander hails from La Belle France and fronts sassy 80s flavoured electro pop cum new wave (spirited guitars, real drums), singing mostly in French - really witty and punchy - think Blondie, Martha and the Muffins, Lene Lovich, Le Tigre etc

The Dirty Mojos - indie rock with hints of blues and country amidst soul, grunge and hard rock textures, blended together seamlessly with post Arctic Monkeys tropes, for a full on, locking in kinda sound you only get with a great three piece. dEXTER - indie pop/rock three piece resplendent with sharp riffage and bouncy hooks. The Heat Inc. - playing proper full on hairy, lairy rock n roll, plump with swagger and tunes alike, Paul Simonon reckons theyre proper good and Louder Than War proclaimed them as world class. Regulars on the old Camden Live nites of yore, it's wonderful to welcome them back. Hypoxic Angels - this hot off the press punk rock band make for a hugely exciting and intriguing prospect. Excellent all gal grunge punk is the thang. With a great humorous spirit - sounds like theyre having mucho fun. And sound great. The missing link between Lunachicks and The Slits ! Superb.

Squeezed - the Songs of Difford and Tilbrook
Squeezed (Squeeze Tribute) - Difford and Tilbrook's monumental thinking man's new wave pop vehicle has served them very well indeed over the last fifty years, despite their differences, and right now, with their most critically acclaimed album in decades topping loads of lists, os a great time to get out and see Squeezed condense their glorious song story into 90 minutes of Friday night party vibes in the Dublin Castle. Up The Junction. Cool For Cats. Tempted. So many classics to sing along to. My favourite is Take Me Im Yours. What's yours The Swagger - Lee Stevens powerful Britpop/rock band are back, a vehicle for some great song craft that takes in the dreamy psych or the 60s, the glam crunch of the 70s and indie classics of the 80s/90s. The Raven Chords- magnificently mournful Grunge/Americana rocking Boy/girl joint vocals with a Mark Lanegan / Wilco vibe. DJ Fuzz gives you the Bang Bangers til 2am
Fab Femme (All Girl Beatles Tribute)
Fab Femme 5 ladies playing The Beatles back catalog- and rocking it up a bit too. Brilliant work. Definitely pursuing a harder, rockier interpretation, with lots of late sixties material Exploring all manner of classics though, from right Across The Beatle Universe, and maybe some deep down cuts, and some B-side hidden gems.. So, Yeah Yeah Yeah this is an incredibly exciting prospect. Come Together for a wonderful night of guaranteed great music! The TR5s a marvellous mixture of skiffle tinged rock roll, power pop, new wave, garage punk and beat music, fronted beautifully by singer Rusty. But everyone is playing a blinder in this band. Tangled Up In Dylan get in nice and early tonight if Zimmerman is your main main man because there will be an hour of frighteningly good Bob Dylan homaging from this young chap. You dont like Bob I dont believe you, youre a liar.

Legendary Too Drunk and Chums’ Afternoon Out
LEGENDARY TOO DRUNK AND CHUMS AFTERNOON OUT yes, it is , Too Drunk, indie punx with a thirst are sensibly going on first so they can get pished and enjoy the other bands. Cos they are ace. Take Pram Invasion, who have made a rather brilliant bitter sweet indie pop album redolent of XTC or Squeeze (find it on Bandcamp or similar. But do find it. It comes heavily recommended) - anyway you get them and then you get The Voodoo Rays, headliners at about 4pm - cos dont forget this is a matinee gig. They are searing pop psychedelicists who straddle their time betwixt Brighton and The Smoke for maximum influence of marine cadences and urban swagger. Probably. Three ace bands in the afternoon and CHEAP in advance! Come on down.

Amy Affairs (Full Band Amy Winehouse Show)
Amy Affairs - The Amy Effect continues to reverberate around us. This impassioned Italian Amy Winehouse tribute band are a wonderful tribute to her. Grazi! From Rome, with love, playing her most iconic songs via short stories about her artistic history, the influences she's had, and the styles that inform her music. The concert is not just a tribute, but a short narrative and musical journey: between songs, the audience is led on a discovery of the artists, sounds, and cultural context that inspired Amy Winehouse, creating an intimate, warm, and engaging atmosphere. The band create a sound that is elegant and respectful of the original, yet lively and personal. Interfunk - a bunch of groovy gals and guys united by the dedicated pursuit of funkiness- or what they call London's Metrogroove. Their rich soul stew is a perfect get down recipe and a sure fire way to make a Sunday nite in Camden Town as funky as the proverbial mosquito's nether quarters. Em Louise - Contemporary rnb tinged pop with a heartfelt vocal and swathes of banging house and disco riddims. Vocally think perhaps Lola Young, but aimed firmly at the dancefloor. Exojay -is an alternative R&B act. Advancing an experimental approach, with bits and pieces of hip hop tropes amidst urban tinged pop.
Appi

Appi

13 May 2026 - 13 May 2026

Appi - From Kyoto, Japancomes this talented singer songwriter / guitarist, performing in an indie nugaze/shoegaze, Dream Pop style, accompanied by only a drummer. Sweet disembodied melodies give way to harder, attacking textures. Check out their Bandcamp via Anglo -Nihon label Koenji records. Lead Astray - keeping the Japan/aUk collaborative theme alive, having released an album last year, and also opened for both Bo Ningen and Hibushinire, this band might be compared to those artists, maybe also early Pil, Amon Duul II and Hawkwind.A big squalling beautiful psych kosmiche sensation. Micko and the Mellotronics - Micko Westmoreland's fabbo art pop trio knocks out plenty of nifty records pregnant with song craft and guile and more people should be taking notice. For fans of XTC, Blue Aeroplanes, Wire

Finley Quaye

Finley Quaye

9 Sept 2026 - 9 Sept 2026

Finley Quaye - tonight, with a live band show as part of his Autumn tour, the DC and Mr Quaye looks like a great fit. From an impressively musical family that have made great impressions in the worlds of jazz, rock, reggae, pop, Triphop and EDM, Finley hits big in the nineties with his uber cool, sophisticated but exciting and edgy pop/reggae melange. Tunes like Sun Is Shining from that era are still nailed on classics. He's had his challenges and more than his share of hardships and tragedy but you cant keep a good man down, and he's never really been away, producing great work over the years with the likes of William Orbit, Beth Orton, Norman Grant (Twinkle Brothers) and the recently departed Sly Dunbar. And it's not all about the fab music In 2021, Queen Elizabeth II awarded Finley the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service with Food For All, for preparing food and for campaigning as well as distributing free and hot food to the homeless in London between 2000 and 2024.

Miss Havisham's Digital Clock

Miss Havisham's Digital Clock

10 May 2026 - 10 May 2026

Misss Havisham's Digital Clock - MHDC are North London's velvet-clad oddballs, mixing alternative rock, chamber pop, and new psychedelia into something gloriously unpredictable. Think steampunk swagger, cabaret flair, and songs that swing from dreamy (Trifle Filled Skies) written on The Ray Davies songwriting course to defiant (Happy Song). With four songwriters, a singing saw, and the ability to turn art-school ideas into irresistible tunes, their live shows are as theatrical as they are electric. Cuckoo Corner - post punk imbued indie rock with slouching, insistent rhythms and deceptively melodic intonations. 00000000 - noisy art rock cum post punk with forceful artful female vocals and a wayward twisty turny experimental feel. Interesting stuff ...a bit Kristin Hersch maybe, or a more leftfield Yeah Yeah Yeahs. DJ Sammi Starr til 2am
Liverpool2London

Liverpool2London

13 Nov 2026 - 13 Nov 2026

Vernons Future - Vernons Future have history back to indie's golden age in 1980's Liverpool, and they bring indie guitar pop of the old school - a mix of classic guitar jangle, with hints of 60s psychedelia. Acclaimed debut album Smithdown Road (Melody Maker said it was a fine debut in love with pop at its most unassuming and most charming) came out on legendary Liverpool label Probe Plus in 1990, then The Vernons (as they were then known) promptly split before resurfacing in 2015 in Oxford/London as Vernons Future, releasing sophomore album Aquaplaning and further standalone singles. St Vitus Dance are an acclaimed Belfast-formed post-punk/indie-pop band (est. 1981) known for their 60s-influenced sound, witty lyrics about Belfast life, and the 1987 album Love Me, Love My Dogma. Fronted by vocalist Noel Burke who later joined Echo & The Bunnymen as singer-songwriter the band moved to Liverpool, split in 1988, and reformed in 2005. In 2025, the band toured with Noel Burke to perform the 1990 Echo & The Bunnymen album Reverberation in full, with plans for new, original St Vitus Dance material in 2026, to follow on from the Probe Plus 2008 Glypotheque and 2012 Bystanders albums. The Room Liverpool post-punk pioneers, and former John Peel favourites, The Room, returned in 2023. Original members Clive Thomas, Dave Jackson and Becky Stringer are joined by new bloods, Ethan Kyme and Darren Brown. They have since released two albums, Restless Fate (2023) and The Telling (2024), toured the UK with Red Guitars, played gigs with The Nightingales and Trupa Trupa, and will release their third album, Doom Pop!, in September 2026. They also have shared DNA with indie legends Benny Profane, with Dave and Becky both having been members.

Headcase

Headcase

30 May 2026 - 30 May 2026

Popscene - What better name for a beautiful tribute to Blurback in 1995 the real thing infamously played a Dublin Castle 'secret' gig at the height of post Parklife Blurmania. And what a night it was. I recall Damon's battered organ hanging off the edge of the cramped stage. Anyway, here's Popscene to help you relive that sadly barely documented event. London Zoo is just up the road so you could also easily catch Gorillaz this evening too...(sorry,,we did that joke last time Popscene played and the time before). Tonight, support care of Headcase - full on, frantic punky indie with a suitably nutty frontman and superb, committed performances all round. Quite a bit of early Blur in there maybe, the more visceral end at least - see also the cranked up rhythm n booze end of late seventies stuff like the Hot Rods or even Slaughter and the Dogs. Excellent fun.

The Lost Weekend: A chance encounter in a North London art gallery resulted in Steve Somerset and Anya Hamilton uniting to back American comedian and musician Dave Hill at his residency at London's Soho Theatre and a few months later at Download Festival. The musical connection between the two was obvious and on 15th May 2025 they played their first gig as The Lost Weekend at Jackson's Lane Theatre in Highgate. The Too Bad Jims

The Too Bad Jims

28 May 2026 - 20 Jun 2026

The Too Bad Jims got their name from the seminal Fat Possum album "Too Bad Jim" by the hugely influential blues musician RL Burnside. The band plays a gritty high-octane mix of North Mississippi Hill Country blues and boogie. It all initially started as a casual collaboration between two veteran and multiple award-winning musicians, Little Victor and Son Jack Jr. and they shortly after rounded out the trio with the one and only Nick Simonon (brother of Paul Simonon of The Clash) on drums and things really started cookin! Their unique and unusual combination of dual rough and ready vocals, bare-bones electric guitars, slashing bottleneck, and a heavily rhythm-oriented groove, delivers a hypnotic, raw, and earthy sound typical of a North Mississippi juke joint.
