8 Apr 2026 - 28 Jun 2026

A brand new interactive show is coming to Dundee Science Centre, bringing collisions, gravity, and friction to life. Audiences will be amazed as the tablecloth is pulled from under cups and plates without moving them, showing the power of inertia. They can hop onto a mini hovercraft powered by a leaf blower, gliding effortlessly over a thin film of air and discovering how friction can be reduced. Meanwhile, they can watch as a cup of water spins overhead, defying expectations thanks to centripetal force, just like a rollercoaster keeps riders safely in their seats. Other demonstrations explore gravity, air resistance, angular momentum, and torque, giving kids and families a front-row seat to the mechanics of the world around them. Whether you’re a curious mind, a family looking for an exciting day out, or someone who loves discovering how the world works, this is your chance to get involved, ask questions, and see physics in action like never before!
