Prostitute

Prostitute

18 Aug 2026 - 26 Aug 2026

Formed in 2020 in Dearborn, Michigan, Prostitute is an experimental post-punk and Arab rock band. Born out of the isolation of the COVID-19 lockdown, the band’s debut album, Attempted Martyr, was written in the midst of global and personal turmoil, capturing the zeitgeist of a world unraveling. A loose concept record, it chronicles the rise and fall of a doomed zealot whose pursuit of holy vengeance spirals into a psychotic orgy of violence, greed, and lust. The band was initially formed by Moe Kazra who enlisted childhood friends Andrew Kaster and Dylan Zaranski, with Ross Babinski and Bret Wall later completing the lineup. Together, they self-funded the album, working with legendary engineer Chris Koltay to shape a sound that's both abrasive and hypnotic-an unrelenting blend of warped guitars, primitive basslines, frenzied drumming, and corrosive synthesizers, interwoven with samples from diverse cultures, ranging from African to Middle Eastern and East Asian influences. Tracks like “All Hail” (inspired by the 1977 Hanafi Siege of Washington D.C.) immerses listeners in a volatile, hostage-like environment. "Judge" channels Milton's Satan in a chilling rallying cry, while “Body Meat” grapples with religious desperation and the tenuous boundary between faith and madness. Khachab and Kaster’s lyrics have been described by Pitchfork as "disturbingly poetic" with the ability to "lacerate with image alone." Crude sloganeering and scenes of horrific violence are juxtaposed with literary allusion and Islamic symbolism, creating what the band calls a "theatricalization of terrorism." Through this lens, they examine and critique the xenophobic stereotypes targeted at Arabs, distorting them into grotesque caricatures. Over the past four years, Prostitute has established a reputation for their punishing, high-energy performances. The band’s live shows, described as “dangerous” and “volatile”, finds Moe delivering politically charged sermons atop a deafening bacchanal of sound. In 2023, Prostitute performed at the re-opening of the iconic UFO Bar in Detroit, followed by a series of benefit concerts for Palestine, Lebanon, and Sudan. These performances solidified their growing presence, leading to invites to play at No Rest Fest and New Colossus Festival. As Prostitute continues work on their sophomore album, they are delving deeper into electronic and Arabic dance influences, drawing inspiration from the ongoing conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon. Their sound continues to evolve, with new tracks incorporating dabke rhythms, Arabesque melodicism, and industrial synth textures, all while retaining the same anarchic energy that defines their unique sound. She's Green

She's Green

27 Aug 2026 - 4 Sept 2026

Minneapolis band she’s green describe themselves as “moss music”. Inspired as much by J.R.R. Tolkien and Hayao Miyazaki as by Slowdive and the Cocteau Twins, the band - consisting of Liam Armstrong, Zofia Smith, Raines Lucas, Kevin Seebeck and Teddy Nordvold - aim to create their own musical and visual world defined by dreamy fantasy, emotional openness and sonic depth. In 2023 she’s green released their debut EP, Wisteria, which included the viral hit “Mandy,” and in 2025 they released the follow-up EP, Chrysalis. It builds on the shimmering shoegaze and dream-pop of Wisteria, with ever more irresistible melodies and deeper songcraft. “We wanted to expand the scope of what we did with the first EP, and see how far we could push either side of the music - whether it’s harsh and jarring or it’s inviting and warm,” Armstrong says. And as they win over fans everywhere they go with their authentic, loving approach to their sound, it’s clear that this huge year for she’s green is only the beginning.

Colin Miller & Told Slant

Colin Miller & Told Slant

3 Nov 2026 - 4 Nov 2026

Grief doesn’t end when someone passes-it lingers in every memory, every place, and every quiet moment of longing. On his second full-length album, Losin’, Asheville-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Colin Miller explores the echoes of loss, particularly the passing of Gary King-a father figure, landlord, and mentor who shaped his young adulthood. For 13 years, Miller lived on King’s property in East Asheville, tending the land and making music while Gary, a retired trucker and car enthusiast, watched over him. When Gary passed in 2022, Miller remained for two more years, holding onto the home and its memories until the property was inevitably sold. These songs were written in the wake of that loss. From the raw storytelling in “Porchlight” and “Cadillac” to the ambient sorrow of “4 Wheeler” and “Little Devil,” Losin’ captures the surreal weight of grief. Miller’s plaintive voice and sharp lyricism shine, especially in “Lost Again,” where he pleads, “I just need you here for a second.” Backed by collaborators like Jake Lenderman, Xandy Chelmis, and Ethan Baechtold (MJ Lenderman / Wednesday), Losin’ is both elegy and celebration-a testament to the people and places that shape us, even after they’re gone. The album closes with a poignant nod to Springsteen on “Thunder Road,” a fitting tribute to a man who loved the open road.
