Eastbourne Bandstand

The current bandstand was opened by Lord Leconfield in 1935 and is now 'the busiest bandstand in the United Kingdom' seating 1600 people on three levels. An iconic landmark on the Eastbourne seafront, with its blue domed roof and silver spire, the bandstand now hosts approximately 150 outdoor events and concerts per year. The bandstand is roughly ten minutes walk from Eastbourne railway station.

Their lead Suggs is perfect and the whole band musically tight, loud and all great musicians. they do Ska, Bad Manners et al too, as well as the nutty boys, so have an extensive range of material the can call on. The Alter Eagles are an experienced, authentic Eagles tribute band. Formed in 2003, they perform the whole repertoire of Eagles tracks, from tasteful country rock – complete with full harmonies – through to hard rocking numbers, showcasing the Eagles’ trademark duelling electric guitars. The current set comprises material from 35 years of Eagles’ performances, up to and including 2007’s Long Road Out Of Eden. Lauded for their accuracy, the Alter Eagles are a tribute to the Eagles, pure and simple and in a typical two hour set play many of the band’s greatest hits, including ‘Hotel California’, ‘Desperado’, ‘Life In The Fast Lane’, ‘How Long’, ‘Lyin’ Eyes’, ‘Take It Easy’ and ‘One Of These Nights’.

Eastbourne College Presents the Bandstand Sessions
A welcome return to Eastbourne's iconic venue, the Bandstand, for the College Jazz Band and Singer Songwriters who will perform a mix of jazz standards, pop classics and crowd pleasers. Fingers crossed for sunshine but bring a blanket just in case! Refreshments available from the Bandstand bar from 6pm / Event starts at 6.30pm. Running time approximately 90 minutes. Ticket prices for seating downstairs. Standing upstairs free.
