Eastbourne Bandstand

The current bandstand was opened by Lord Leconfield in 1935 and is now 'the busiest bandstand in the United Kingdom' seating 1600 people on three levels. An iconic landmark on the Eastbourne seafront, with its blue domed roof and silver spire, the bandstand now hosts approximately 150 outdoor events and concerts per year. The bandstand is roughly ten minutes walk from Eastbourne railway station.

The Stage Says: There arent many tribute bands better than Badness. Their lead Suggs is perfect and the whole band musically tight, loud and all great musicians. they do Ska, Bad Manners et al too, as well as the nutty boys, so have an extensive range of material the can call on. For one night only, the Bandstand will come alive with the energy, passion and spirit of Ireland. Enjoy breathtaking performances from Ratton's renowned Irish dance troupe Rinceoir Ratton, featuring thundering routines inspired by Riverdance and Lord of the Dance. Be swept away by beautiful Irish songs and ballads performed by The Minor Details close harmony choir and the Motcombe School Choir, alongside live traditional music from Ceol Na Mara. The evening will culminate in a fun-filled audience cil, giving everyone the chance to join in the celebrations. This unique event is the first of its kind to be held at Eastbourne Bandstand and promises an unforgettable evening of music, movement and community spirit.
