Back at Ebbingford Manor, Bude by popular demand, Bowie PR with Paul Roberts promises to be another unforgettable night of open-air music. Join the former frontman of The Stranglers, and his band who bring Bowie's iconic pop songs vividly to life. From 'Space Oddity' through to smash hit 'Let's Dance' to the wonderful 'The Next Day', internationally-acclaimed British rock frontman Paul Roberts and his band deliver songs from a dozen of David Bowie's classic albums. Famed for his high-energy performances from 15 years fronting The Stranglers, and his coincidental uncanny resemblance to David Bowie, Paul brings these fabulous songs to life and with his band of leading British musicians, moves seamlessly from one era to the other. It's the kind of evening described by Bowie himself as "a t-shirt and jeans type of show". Illyria presents 'The Merry Wives of Windsor'
Bring seating/blankets and join Illyria for an outdoor theatrical treat. Falstaff is skint. He decides his only option is to seduce the wives of two wealthy merchants. But the women are best friends, and of course they spill their hearts to each other every day... Scandalised not just that Falstaff wrote to them but that he sent them identical love-letters, they vow to play tricks on him when he comes calling. Finally, with the help of their husbands and friends, the merry wives lure him to a haunted forest and teach him a lesson he won't forget! Illyria is an intrepid band of five actors who perform Shakespeare's plays direct from the First Folio, the most authoritative edition of Shakespeare's plays. It's fast, it's polished and it's spoken beautifully. Illyria last performed this hilarious play in 2008 and we can't wait to bring it back! Set on board the warship HMS Pinafore, the opera cheerfully mocks such Great British institutions as Class, Patriotism and the Royal Navy. Josephine, the captain's daughter, is in love with Ralph a common sailor; but her father wants her to marry Sir Joseph Porter, First Lord of the Admiralty. The couple are caught as they elope from the ship and Ralph is locked in the ship's dungeon. Only when certain revelations are made by Buttercup, a dockside vendor, can everyone end up freely marrying their true hearts' loves. Back in Bude by popular demand and this time in the great outdoors at Ebbingford Manor. Beatles Complete present a night of Beatlemania packed with massive hits from the most influential band of all time. Having now performed over 200 shows at the world-famous Cavern Club, this Liverpool based beat combo are the youngest ever Beatles band to gain a residency at the Cavern Club in Liverpool where they still perform on Thursdays and some Saturdays. Aged between 18 and 22 Beatles Complete are the closest thing you will get to the unbridled joy of seeing the young Beatles when they first lit up the world. They cant promise all the screaming and tears from the 60's but they can give you a host of classic songs brilliantly performed by a band who are becoming a force to be reckoned with in the Beatle world. Having performed at International Beatle Week for the last 4 years running, the lads have been invited to return again for 2025 and are continuing to take their extended show to theatres across the UK. In a farmhouse on the Lizard, teenager Rose cares for an old lady called Pearl. But it's not just Pearl's humour that is breaking boundaries; turns out this old lady can break through boundaries into other worlds too! Suddenly, mischievous sprites are urging the old lady to share her story and bewildered Rose is taken on a time-travel adventure back to Cornwall in the 1930s and 40s, through Pearl's childhood and adolescence. But Pearl harbours a painful secret. And Rose is trying to decipher the messages of the sprites. What happened at the standing stone Who is the boy caught in the betwixt and the between And why is Rose, of all people, on this journey Tamara Rosenwyn's play reveals that the power of our imagination is timeless, and that with inner grit, time and a deep dig into the soul, pearls of wisdom can be formed!
