English Heritage: Belsay Castle, Hall and Gardens
An English heritage site consisting of a medieval castle that was enlarged in the early 17th century, a Greek Revival mansion and a garden linking the two. theGgrade I heritage gardens boast a Rhododendron Garden, a Winter Garden and a Quarry garden inspired by by Sicilian quarries. The Belsay Hall Tearoom in the hall's original kitchen serves homemade cakes and lunches.
Events at Belsay include outdoor theatre, hands on history, big band perfomances and classic car shows.
Parking is free for visitors and dogs are allowed in the gardens on a short lead.
