by Sarah Ruhl An incessantly ringing cell phone in a quiet caf. A stranger at the next table who has had enough. And a dead man with a lot of loose ends. So begins Dead Mans Cell Phone, a wildly imaginative new comedy by MacArthur Genius Grant recipient and Pulitzer Prize finalist Sarah Ruhl. A work about how we memorialize the dead and how that remembering changes us it is the odyssey of a woman forced to confront her own assumptions about morality, redemption, and the need to connect in a technologically obsessed world. Hilarious mishaps and DIY disasters bring the house down, quite literally in this ensemble farce. Can Red Riding Hood and her Granny, along with all the friends, old and new, help stop her, or is Erith town doomed? Why not come along and find out! An evening of Americana and Blues music featuring a brilliant set of musicians at a wonderful, intimate theatre. The headliners are Armer, Barber and Wigg [A3A] playing their own brand of Americana. Eddie Armer has recorded with the legendary Pete Seeger. Kevin Barber is a great acoustic guitar player. Jon Wigg is a superb multi-instrumentalist with a love of roots music. Special guests feature Naomi Campbell, accompanied by Rob Johnson. The evening will raise funds for Centrepieces Mental Health Charity ( Bexley ), which is celebrating its 25th anniversary and for Erith Playhouse. The bar will be open from 6.45 pm
