Milton Jones: HA!milton

Milton Jones: HA!milton

15 Sept 2025 - 29 Nov 2025

This is not a musical. Milton Jones is tone deaf and has no sense of rhythm, but at least he doesn’t make a song and dance about it. He has more important things to discuss. Like giraffes... and there’s a bit about tomatoes. You might know him from Mock the Week, Live at the Apollo or Radio 4. Or that time he stood for the Scottish National Party, fought a hard campaign, but in the end had to respect the wishes of the people of Cardiff. A whole new show of daftness. You know it makes sense. Warning - contains jokes from the start.
Jenny Eclair: Jokes, Jokes, Jokes, Live

Jenny Eclair: Jokes, Jokes, Jokes, Live

20 Sept 2025 - 21 Nov 2025

In celebration of the release of her hilarious memoir of the same name, comedian, novelist and professional show-off Jenny Eclair comes to venues nationwide with a brand-new autobiographical show. From drama school (mostly drinking cider and eating sausage rolls), sleeping with men who looked like they lived under a carpet, punk poetry, anorexia, bedsit misery, waitressing and not really having a clue about anything, to being the first woman to win the Perrier Award, becoming a mother, author, grumpy old woman, podcaster and nana! Still gigging to sell-out crowds forty years later, Jenny invites you to look back at what she can remember before she forgets everything. Warning: punk poetry, animal impressions and baritone nursery rhyme singing may feature.

Jack Dee

Jack Dee

4 Sept 2025 - 1 Nov 2025

Culture wars, the environment, British foreign policy and social justice: these are just a few of the topics that Jack spectacularly fails to address (or even mention for that matter) in his brand new show. Instead, for reasons known only to him, he doubles down on his fascination with the meaningless small things of life like Zoom protocol, what’s new in the world of radiators and the worst careers advice office in the world. Join Jack as he guides you through his varied life and career with his customary charm and well known gift for talking absolute rubbish on any given subject.
Ardal O'Hanlon - Not Himself

Ardal O'Hanlon - Not Himself

20 Sept 2025 - 27 Mar 2026

Oh, it’s all there! All the trademarks are in evidence in Ardal’s latest show. Beautifully crafted stand-up comedy? Yes. Celebrated use of language? Tick. Lateral thinking, surreal flourishes, sharp observations? Of course. As for the occasional profundity? Maybe. Despite his best attempts over many decades to put the world to rights, it is still a colossal mess. And so, Ardal has no choice but to go out on the road again. Like the good comedy doctor he is, he fearlessly diagnoses the various pathologies and neuroses that are currently ravaging humanity. Disclaimer: No solutions provided. After an alarming experience at the supermarket, Ardal reflects on who he is as a man and a comedian. He examines his own ethnic and religious background, and thinks twice about the very core of his identity as a voice of reason. Is everything a big lie? With no major trauma of his own to draw on for material, apart from the drag of getting older, he also turns his gaze outwards at the joys and follies of contemporary life. Towel Animals? A.I.? Chair Yoga? Cauliflower as a main course? Yes. Yes. Yes. And Yes. No current idiocy is left unexamined. With a highly developed sense of the ridiculous, and proper comedy bones, NOT HIMSELF, is a testament to the healing power of humour. And the joy of jokes.

Ross Noble: Cranium of Curiosities

Ross’s on-stage credits include 16 nationwide comedy tours and his recent critically acclaimed performance as Igor in Mel Brooks’ West End revival of monster hit musical Young Frankenstein, at London’s Garrick Theatre. An Evening with Pam Ayres

28 Oct 2025 - 1 Nov 2025

Building on the success of her latest book of poetry, You Made Me Late Again, Pam Ayres is back on tour. Pam Ayres’ work is funny, and approachable. It sounds simple, as though dashed off, but this is deceptive. Her hair-trigger timing, her eye for the detail of everyday life, and for the absurdity therein, makes for an art that hides art. Pam has sold millions of books, CDs, and DVDs over the years, and she is still a regular on TV and Radio, on programmes such as Just A Minute, Ayres on the Air, The Paul O’Grady Show, The Alan Titchmarsh Show, Countdown and The One Show.

Montague Terrace

12 Sept 2025 - 13 Sept 2025

In the heart of London, an old Victorian terrace harbours the stories of four strangers separated by decades. Amid the rubble of 1944 and the struggles of a pandemic-stricken present, their lives echo across time, watched over by an ancient Plane tree that has witnessed it all. 1944: Jim, scarred by the horrors of war, demobbed only to find his home reduced to rubble and his wife gone, taking their daughter with her. He’s re-housed at Montague Terrace, where he meets Helena, a Czech refugee, who, despite being through hell to escape Europe, faces each day with renewed strength. In the present day, David has lost everything in the pandemic and finds himself at Montague Terrace. Here, he meets Sarah, the victim of an abusive marriage who has been using the empty flat as an occasional refuge from her husband. Sarah finds solace in the ancient Plane tree outside the terrace, a symbol of endurance amidst the turmoil, and dreads its removal by the council. The narrative weaves between these two timelines, with the ancient tree as a silent observer. The lives of Jim, Helena, David, and Sarah are mysteriously interconnected, with their struggles and triumphs resonating across the decades. Montague Terrace written by Adrian Harris, (recipient of a Peggy Ramsay Grant, South Glos Council Chair’s Award), is supported by an artist grant from WECA.

9 Apr 2026 - 9 Apr 2026

Graeme takes you on his own unique journey through the Seven Kingdoms. Unhappy with how his beloved books were realised for the TV series, he has taken it upon himself to show you how it should have been done. He doesn't quite have the same budget, or as many cast members, or the performance skill required, but he's sure George would approve and that's what matters. With nearly as many grisly deaths as there are characters, and some appropriately missing dragons, the show is a treat for fans and an introduction for the unenlightened. Featuring a family tree wider than The Wall and more subplots than anyone can follow, it's a roller coaster ride of beheadings, incest and war. See it before the inevitable lawsuit.

A one-man play, written by Martin Lytton in collaboration with actor Naz Sheikh and Director Jacquie Crago, about identity, resilience, and the power of hope. The story follows the life of Maneek, a boy raised in a remote village on stilts, shadowed by tigers and governed by a strict, distant father. As Maneek’s world expands - first through the bustling and threatening reality of a city slum, then across oceans to unfamiliar cultures - he battles fear, grapples with love, and pursues a sense of belonging. Told through powerful storytelling, rich cultural references, humour, and poignant drama, this intimate tale speaks volumes about universal struggles of home, family, and the will to persevere. Presented by PRICKING THUMBS.
Making A Killing

Making A Killing

21 Oct 2025 - 21 Oct 2025

The ropes are ready, the crowd is waiting, and the hangman has a new apprentice. When Claus Kohler is apprenticed to Frantz Schmidt, Nuremberg’s seasoned executioner, the two men are thrown together in a world where duty, morality, and power collide, and every decision leaves a mark. But as the gallows fill and suspicion takes root, their fates become dangerously entwined, until both must decide who they are, and which side of the rope they stand on. Performed by just two actors, Making a Killing is a razor-sharp, dark comedy about justice, corruption, and the cost of survival in a world disturbingly like our own. Bold, biting, and impossible to ignore, the play takes inspiration from The Journal of Master Franz Schmidt, Public Executioner of Nuremberg, 1573-1617. A remarkable historical record that lays bare the humanity and contradictions of a man who killed for a living.

Cleckleywyke, a town in the West Riding, 1908. The Helliwells, the Parkers and the Soppitts are highly respected pillars of their community . . . but not for much longer. Married on the same day in the same chapel, they gather to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. The celebrations are short lived when they discover the vicar wasn’t licensed and they are actually not married. In fact, they have been living in sin for 25 years. Watch with mounting glee as the pandemonium switches from horrified social embarrassment to the realisation that they are free from the shackles of long tedious marriages. Home truths are dealt, bullies get their retribution and the hen-pecked are hilariously and most satisfyingly liberated. JB Priestley’s heartily entertaining northern comedy plays right into the hands of the remarkable Northern Broadsides -- a company celebrated by audiences for its charisma, vitality and relish of language.

The Talented Mr Ripley

4 Sept 2025 - 13 Sept 2025

"I never wanted to murder anyone. It was necessary." Step into a world of deception, desire, and deadly ambition. How far would you go to become someone else? Tom Ripley is a nobody - scraping by in New York, forging signatures, telling little white lies - until a chance encounter changes everything. When a wealthy stranger offers him an all-expenses-paid trip to Italy to bring home his wayward son, Dickie Greenleaf, Tom leaps at the opportunity. But in the sun-drenched glamour of 1950s Italy, surrounded by shimmering waters and whispered secrets, Tom is seduced by the life Dickie leads - the freedom, the wealth, the effortless charm. Fascination turns to obsession, and as his grip tightens on Dickie’s world, the lines between truth and deception begin to blur. What starts as an innocent opportunity spirals into a chilling game of lies, identity theft, and murder. The ten-strong ensemble cast is led by Ed McVey as Tom Ripley. Ed was one of the stars of The Crown. Bruce Herbelin-Earle from Netfix’s Free Rein is Dickie Greenleaf and EastEnders regular and Strictly Come Dancing finalist Maisie Smith stars as Marge Sherwood. This electrifying new stage adaptation of The Talented Mr. Ripley brings Patricia Highsmith’s iconic psychological thriller, which inspired the acclaimed movie and Netflix series, to life like never before. With razor-sharp dialogue, simmering tension, and a dangerously charismatic antihero, this gripping production will pull you into Ripley’s intoxicating world-where nothing is quite as it seems. Seeking acclaim for his craft and acceptance, validation, spiritual meaning and perhaps love from his audience, this is his ‘art’ and, though often torturous for him, he will stop at nothing in his pursuit of perfection. Carmen tells the story of the downfall of Don José, a naïve soldier who falls head over heels in love with Carmen, a seductive, free-spirited femme fatale. The infatuated Don José abandons his childhood sweetheart and neglects his military duties, only to lose the fickle Carmen to the glamorous toreador Escamillo. The music of Carmen has been widely acclaimed for the brilliance of its melodies, enthralling atmosphere, and orchestration, as well as for the skill with which Bizet musically represented the emotions and suffering of his characters. The Toreador Song is among the best known of all operatic arias. The vibrancy, enthusiasm, and intensity of the performances will reverberate long after the final curtain has fallen.
Ukrainian National Opera Presents: Madama Butterfly
Sung in Italian with with English surtitles. Performed by the Dnipro Opera, from Ukraine Featuring an impressive cast and accompanied by a live Orchestra numbering over 30 musicians. No opera can match the tragedy and sorrow of Puccini's Madama Butterfly. Set in Japan at the turn of the last century, it is the story of a doomed love affair between an American naval officer and his young Japanese bride whose self-sacrifice and defiance of her family leads to tragedy. Though infinitely sad and tragic, the compelling tale of Madama Butterfly remained Puccini’s favourite opera - his supreme theatrical achievements also gave the world its most sublime and beautiful arias in history - One Fine Day and Love Duet, as well as the Humming Chorus which has been popular with opera-goers for over a century. This touching tale of innocent love crushed between two utterly different cultures resonates as strongly as ever in today’s world.
