The Dirty Nil

The Dirty Nil

27 Jun 2026 - 7 Jul 2026

The Dirty Nil play rock and roll. Loud, distorted, and out of control, they play like it's a fever they're trying to sweat out. Reveling in the din of distorted guitars, pounding drums, and desperately howled vocals, the Hamilton Ontario three-piece makes music for turntables and hi-fi's - music for dive bars and house parties - for beer drinking and joint smoking - for road trips and barbecues - for fighting and yelling and shouting and singing and screaming and howling - for sweating and bleeding - trying and failing and trying again anyways. Gravel-in-your guts, spit-in-your-eye, staggering, bloodthirsty rock and roll. They have two 7"s available that capture the snarl and destructive noise they create. The Dirty Nil play rock and roll - cause they couldn't do a damn thing else if they tried.

Alice Costello

Alice Costello

30 Sept 2026 - 16 Oct 2026

Alice Costelloe is breaking free on her upcoming EP 'When It's The Time'. The first release under her full name (previously operating under the Al Costelloe abbreviation) and her first having signed to much-heralded indie label Moshi Moshi Records, 'When It's The Time' - out 25th October finds Costelloe skilfully rendering nuanced emotions rooted in desire, and death. Sonically, the EP presents a captivating progression - introducing elements of art-pop (in no small part due to the EP's producer Mike Lindsay's "treasure chest of synths") to her optimistic, soothing indie-pop. Thematically, the EP poses questions about mortality, and "how to make yourself a better life in a world that often feels apocalyptic".Balancing a playful sense of optimism against the looming spectre of death; pillowy synths and celestial organs provide a warming backdrop for Alice's pristine voice and deft examinations of humanity. Part Chimp + Aaa Gripper + Resurrection Men
Part Chimp have long made it their mission to shake speakers, fry brains and push volume to its limits. Underground legends of primal riffing, their fifth album Drool sees them sharpen that intensity into something even more focused and ferocious. Blending crushing heaviness with a skewed sense of melody, Drool channels echoes of Melvins and Sonic Youth while carving out a sound that’s wholly their own - pulverising, chaotic and strangely life-affirming. Tracks like Back From The Dead, Drool and Up, With Notes showcase a band revelling in the alchemy of loud amps, strange tunings and raw instinct. Recorded across London, New York and Somerset, the album captures the band at their most honest and unfiltered. Equal parts panic, chaos and catharsis, Part Chimp’s music thrives on the edge of collapse - shambolic, unpredictable and full of joy. Drool is loud, enveloping and uncompromising - a blast of heavy music that hits as hard as it exhilarates. Presented by Gravy Train. This is a 14+ event (14-17’s must be accompanied by an adult).
