Fat Dog

Fat Dog

1 Nov 2025 - 1 Nov 2025

Fat Dog’s particular brand of chaos seems a fine antidote to the remains of pent-up lockdown frustration. The collective scream has found a mouth; the potential energy has been activated. Joe’s singing, his words slurred and distorted in the time-honoured tradition of delta bluesmen, melds to Jazz’s wordless vocals, high and keening like some punk banshee princess, equal parts Grace Slick and Yoko Ono.

Welly

Welly

2 Oct 2025 - 15 Oct 2025

Welly is an extraordinary character with a remarkable literary way of describing himself, his band and society. A square peg in the round hole of suburban life, Welly embraced his difference from an early age and went onto channel his observations on suburbia into songs. Whip-smart, playful, funny and terrifyingly smart pop songs to be precise. He then set about finding the perfect vehicle to pedal his wares and so formed a band and delivered a debut album bursting with democratised pop music for people that feel fun in the charts stopped at Love Machine by Girls Aloud.

Seattle rockers The Drowns have unleashed their latest salvo of blue-collar punk rock n roll: Blacked Out. Returning to the studio for this LP with longtime producer Ted Hutt (Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, The Gaslight Anthem), the band have laid down a collection of songs that fuse their varied influences brilliantly from the boogie-woogie shuffle roots of original 50s rock n roll, to the strutting swagger of 70s glam & bovver rock, to the gritty rabble-rousing of 77 style anthemic street punk into a laser-tight, cohesive sound that is unmistakably theirs. Deafdeafdeaf + Poppyshow

Deafdeafdeaf + Poppyshow

24 May 2025 - 24 May 2025

Independent Band from Greater Manchester, UK. Disarming shoegaze, raucous, feedback-laced post-punk that rings out with the echoes of DEAFDEAFDEAF's Mancunian forebears. 'A mile away from the average indie bllocks and a marker for the Next Next Wave. DEAFDEAFDEAF cement their place in the rich vaults of Manc music with their own twist of subnormal soundscapes.' - Louder Than War. 'The Band perfectly executes a range of dynamic levels, knowing just when to throw an abundant amount of harsh noise at you resulting in an all more powerful feeling of intensity.' - SPEW. 'Touching on all of the unsettling emotions typically found in the melancholy genre, DEAFDEAFDEAF refuse to shy away from the truth.' - Gigwise. Comparative to the records, the live set exhibits chaos and intensity that has to be experienced firsthand to truly appreciate the immense talents of DEAFDEAFDEAF - VOICE DEAFDEAFDEAF have carved for themselves. Undefinable by genre, yet akin to influence, the boys have really pulled together an impressive roster of tracks especially this early on in their career. Notably building a name for themselves in the live music industry as one to watch, they have a certain grace in creating atmosphere and forging chaos in even the most unconventional of spaces. - YUCK
HOLETRIPPER + Machineries of Joy + Bears with Monocles
Hole Tripper makes gritty, no-frills rock that feels like a lost gem from the 90s, but without trying too hard to be nostalgic. Their music has an unpolished, straight-to-the-gut energy, like something you'd stumble upon at a dive bar gig and wonder why more people arent talking about them. Their origins'starting out recording separately and later forming a full bandgive their sound a mix of personal, introspective moments and full-blown, loud, cathartic rock. Hole Tripper is a remote band, ludicrously out of their own time zone, laughing at life and making music. The band is influenced by early 90s alt rock and whilst they would love to discover time travel if youre not going forwards, youre going backwards. The music sticks to its roots but also wants to push forward the genre; one riff at a time . making gloriously unfashionable rock music for the chosen few. Machineries of Joy is a high-energy indie/psych rock band from Exeter, UK. Known for dynamic, tight performances, they blend elements of The Doors, Fontaines D.C. and IDLES into a unique sonic experience that's equal parts introspective and explosive. Bears with Monocles - A New Age Indie Grunge band from the heart of Devon. Celebrating their debut album Hallelujah Baby.

The Jins

The Jins

23 May 2025 - 23 May 2025

In a big blue house on the eastside of Vancouver, the Jins were born. Now, whether you consider the birth date of a band their first show, or the day they decided on their path, it doesn’t matter, because it all happened in that blue house. 2014’s Hallowe’en show was a tentpole for that early sound, and if you don’t know Vancouver, shows almost never happen in houses there. The city breathes a heavy lung full of NIMBY behaviour, so kicking off their journey by cold-rocking the neighbourhood is the way to become the stuff of legends.

Earthtone9

Earthtone9

18 Sept 2025 - 14 Dec 2025

earthtone9 are rightly hailed by those who know as one of the most forward-thinking, clever, musically wise and creatively smart in the history of British metal. Emerging in the late ‘90s as nu-metal was beginning to surge, their more nuanced palette and intelligent approach saw them hailed as something special and excitingly against the grain from the very beginning. Making an album a year between 1998 and 2000 – beginning with their expertly crafted Lo-def(inition) Discord debut, and culminating in 2000’s staggering Arc’tan’gent – it was a workrate as intense as the music was uniformly brilliant. After splitting in 2002 the band made a surprise return in 2013 with the crowdfunded album, IV. Following this they made only occasional appearances in the live arena (including at the ArcTanGent Festival, which purloined its name from their third album!), before once again seeming to disappear on hiatus. Now, 11 years on from their last record, they present In Resonance Nexus, a thrilling work of brains and muscle that not only stokes a fire, but sees the band's core members – vocalist Karl Middleton and guitarists Owen Packard and Joe Roberts – rediscovering and reconnecting with what makes them so special. In Resonance Nexus is the heaviest, fiercest, most heightened record they have ever made; a startling combination of almost feral intensity and the latter-day songwriting chops they displayed on the IV album. Presented by Action!. Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 at all times. Under 8’s must have hearing protection.
Wonk Unit

Wonk Unit

4 Jul 2025 - 4 Jul 2025

Wonk Unit have recently recorded their newest – and possibly heaviest - album 'Uncle Daddy,' which was largely written and recorded during the Covid-19 pandemic. It's perhaps their most collaborative work, which captures a year of isolation and sadness, as others laugh together around Alex's backyard skate bowl. The album features the singles 'Cyclists', 'Summertime', 'Strength' and 'Raise My Glass', which received widespread praise and coverage by the likes of Steve Lamacq and Rodney Bingenheimer. Uncle Daddy captures everything that has made Wonk Unit a cult favourite in the UK punk scene- it's heavy but also experimental and humour-tinged, political but highly personal. Supporting are Yur Mum, who make their Fine City debut. The Brazilian punk-rock duo are arguably one of the heaviest acts we have ever booked, but they are fantastic. Think a multi-cultural band who share hopes, dreams, anger and anxieties through thunderous punk with a polished metal edge, performed in their own inimitable style. Opening the night are local favourites I Said Goodbye, who make a welcome return to our local music world. Post punk/power pop for a post pandemic population.
Honeyglaze

Honeyglaze

22 May 2025 - 22 May 2025

In their own words: “Hi we are Honeyglaze, and there’s no time to explain." Honeyglaze are South London based, haiku-loving trio comprised of vocalist and guitarist Anouska Sokolow, bassist Tim Curtis, and Yuri Shibuichi on drums. Born out of lead songwriter Sokolow’s un-desire to be a solo-act, the group met officially at their first ever rehearsal- just three days ahead of what was to become a near-residency, at their favoured ‘The Windmill’, Brixton. Forming a mere five-months ahead of a subsequent five-months of mandatory solitude, a parallel that’s both aligned and universally un-timely, Honeyglaze, at first appearance, are a group who play with chance, time, and synergetic fate, in a manner few others are able to do. Pricking the ears of seminal producer Dan Carey and his team of merry taste-makers: Speedy Wunderground (Tiña, Squid, Black Country New Road), initial brainstorms saw the Speedy Wunderground / Honeyglaze partnership manifest into a dynamic that, quite simply, just worked despite having never met before. The resulting body of work that was spawned of this instant chemistry is an album that tackles themes varying from jealousy to inadequacy, cushion-y companionships to the smell of coffee on clothes, as with all good reflections of self, Honeyglaze is a fly on the wall opportunity to get to know three familial strangers in your own way- whilst they too suss out themselves, and the ever-growing circle around them, in the span of 35 minutes.
Green Milk from The Planet Orange (Japan)

Ed Tudor Pole

Ed Tudor Pole

17 May 2025 - 30 Nov 2025

If you think that punk music should be like a McDonalds burger, ie:- utterly predictable and the same every time then your view differs from Tenpole's! "The spirit of punk has always been there - it's something to do with rebellion, e.g. Jerry Lee Lewis or Keith Richards, just happens that in 1976 they named this spirit 'Punk'.! " say's Ed. Tenpole was glad to find out what he was at last, for he'd been playing guitar and trying to write great songs in that spirit since he was a boy, long before 1976 came along. "Punk is an attitude not a form of music, ask Steve Jones!! Say's Tenpole. " I date back to the birth of punk rock when it was all about being original, create your own look, and before the time when it became a competition to see which band could sound the most similar to another! I've always rebelled against uniformity. If it is just a simple formula then it is not subversive, and if there is no subversion, ladies & gentlemen, it ain't Punk!!" "At the moment Im trying to see how much excitement can be generated with a man, a guitar, & an audiences. If you have to label what I play, call it Rock'n'Roll. Ever onward my fellow being's! Avoid stagnation: whatever else it is, Punk is surely anti-stagnation!" "By the way, all your view's on what punk represents are as true & valid as mine, however different, we all think our opinion is the right one, but who can judge Come and see me play, listen to my stories ,ask me some questions. Im getting good now, but ultimately, it's down to YOU how good the gig is!!"

Led by South African-born artist Lucy Kruger (guitar and vocals), the band features Liú Mottes (guitar), Jean-Louise Parker (viola and vocals), Gidon Carmel (drums). The album features a mix of accidental and deliberate remote collaborations, capturing a unique, personal, yet universally resonant moment. Lightheaded + Jeanines

Lightheaded + Jeanines

21 Jul 2025 - 25 Jul 2025

Jeanines and Lightheaded, two of the brightest American indiepop bands, have new albums coming out. Skep Wax Records (UK and Europe) are delighted to be co-releasing them alongside Slumberland Records (US). Jeanines third album How Long Can It Last sees the New York band in total control of their songcraft, with thirteen miniature pop gems. Jeanines can fit in more melody and more breathtaking choruses in two minutes than most pop bands manage across an entire album. First single On And On demonstrates this perfectly. How can such a brief pop song be so overwhelming Lightheaded, from New Jersey, are one of the most exciting new US pop bands, and this album combines a brand new set of songs with five tracks from their delightful Good Good Great EP, a cassette-only release on Slumberland, now available on vinyl for the first time. Lightheaded bring together the songwriting discipline of Nancy and Lee with a modern appetite for noise and reverb. It's possible to get utterly lost and absorbed in this album. The songs echo classics of the past but also feel like they've arrived from the distant future. It's quite disorienting, but very exciting.
