Herbert & Momoko is the collaborative project from Matthew Herbert and Momoko Gill. With a shared background in experimental production and composition, the duo’s mutual passion for pushing sonic boundaries has played a crucial role in their respective careers to date. Their debut album Clay brings together original sampling techniques using a variety of sources - from Japanese kotos to basketballs, mixing found sounds with live improvisation and expansive vocal arrangements. Combining Herbert’s fleet-footed productions with Gill’s dexterous, melodic writing, their sound treads nimbly between the dancefloor and the more introspective moods of the early hours. We can't wait to see her throw it down in the FORGE main warehouse before handing over to Dr B.
