Geilston Garden

Geilston is an intimate and tranquil garden best enjoyed at an unhurried pace. Developed over 200 years ago, it is a testimony to good landscape design -- with the sum of its parts being greater than the individual constituents. Comprising a large walled garden, a kitchen garden and woodland area, Geilston is arguably one of the Trust’s most alluring gardens, with its tranquillity and intimate atmosphere.

Charity Garden Opening - Geilston Garden
Geilston Garden has many attractive features including the walled garden with herbaceous border providing summer colour, tranquil woodland walks and a large working kitchen garden. This is the ideal season for viewing the Siberian iris in flower along the Geilston Burn and the Japanese azaleas.  This is a fundraising event for the open garden charity Scotland’s Gardens Scheme which raises money for hundreds of local charities.
