StillMarillion are the established tribute to the Fish Era of British prog rock legends Marillion. Covering the first four classic albums and associated tracks of the era, the focus is on the music and recapturing the live experience of songs that are rarely if at all performed by Fish or Marillion anymore. Fronted by vocalist Martin Jakubski, who also features in original Marillion guitarist Steve Rothery's solo band. The band features a high calibre of experienced musicians who have played with the likes of Abel Ganz and former Iron Maiden singer Paul Dianno.

Steve Ignorant is a singer/songwriter and artist. He co-founded the anarcho-punk band Crass with Penny Rimbaud in 1977. After Crass stopped performing in 1984, he worked with other groups including Conflict, Schwartzeneggar, Stratford Mercenaries, Current 93, and US punk band Thought Crime, as well as occasional solo performances. Steve is also a wood sculptor and volunteer on the Sea Palling Independent Lifeboat, has written his autobiography All The Rest Is Propaganda- and has worked as a traditional Punch and Judy performer using the name Professor Ignorant. Steve is now performing with his new band Slice Of Life. A far cry from the aggression of Crass, nevertheless compelling with powerful songs delivered in an acoustic style. Impossible to categorise, Slice Of Life's music is up-front and soul-baringly personal. It's a mixture of songs and spoken word that draws you in and stays with you long after the final note has been played. Debut album Love And A Lamp-post was released on Overground records in late 2014, surprising many with its honesty and change of style for Steve. A new bassist followed in early 2015, along with new songs and extensive touring all over the UK, as well as dates in Finland, and festival slots at Rebellion, Wickerman and Something Else A Bit North.

Foo fighters GB are a midlands based tribute band who’s goal is to provide a true-to-life reconstruction of a real Foo Fighters performance at any and every show. They pride themselves in bringing the true, authentic Foo Fighters experience to you. Over the past 6 years and a few line up changes, the sound that Foo Fighters GB produce has been constantly refined and this is reflected in the equipment that they use; Lead guitarist, Nath Peach and front man, Dan O’Connell, utilise the sounds of a Mesa Boogie and Vox AC30, teamed with Gibson Les Pauls, Explorers and a DG335 and Fender custom shop Telecasters. Russ Weller, Drums, has a Gretch USA custom pink, which was custom built to match the kit Taylor Hawkins used at Glastonbury festival. He also has a Gretch USA custom Bell Brass snare and A custom Zildjian cymbals. Jim Freeman, keys, uses a Nord Electro D6. All of this plus the experience in the field, having played multiple large festivals to tens of thousands of people, mean that Foo Fighters GB provide a groundbreaking, authentic experience at any and every show.

Pygmy Twylyte bring the music of Frank Zappa back to MacArts! So prolific was Frank Zappa's output, that it is nearly impossible to present a representative sample of his work in just one concert. Over the course of his life, and since his death in 1993, over one hundred official Zappa albums have been released, alongside countless bootlegs. These range from 60s psychedelia with the Mothers of Invention, Jazz and Rock material tinged with Zappa's own inimitable spin, through to orchestral compositions performed by the London Symphony Orchestra, among others. Navigating the vast Zappa oeuvre then is no mean feat, but Scotlands Pygmy Twylyte have embraced the challenge with gusto. Since their inception in 2018, the band have selected a core body of classic material, complemented with a rotating offering of more obscure cuts, and blasted this to delighted audiences across the UK.

Echobelly debuted in 1993 with their debut EP, Bellyache, on the independent Pandemonium label. The favourable response including gushing press reviews and sold out gigs ensured the securing of a recording contract with Epic via their subsidiary, Rhythm King. Devoted to recreating the atmosphere of a live Joy Division gig, Transmission emulate the sound of one of the most inventive, evocative and influential groups of their era. Joy Division were formed in the late 1970s and dissolved in 1980 after the suicide of lead singer Ian Curtis. The remaining members went on to form New Order and have achieved much critical and commercial success. The influence of Joy Division, however, was far reaching. They were considered the pioneering band of the post-punk movement of the late 1970s and early 1980s. BC Camplight is an England-based American songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. His 2005 album Hide, Run Away was released by One Little Indian and featured Cynthia G. Mason on vocals. Camplight's follow-up, Blink of a Nihilist, was released in 2007, and his third album came out in January 2015 on Bella Union.

Mississippi MacDonald is an English Soul-Blues singer/songwriter/guitarist, fronting a four piece band. He is a 6 times British / UK Blues Awards and three times US Independent Blues Awards nominee. He has appeared on BBC Radio 2's Blues Show with Cerys Matthews, has played extensively in the UK and the US, and has recorded recently in the US with Vaneese Thomas (Rufus Thomas) and Benny Turner (Freddie King, Mighty Joe Young). Born and raised in Glasgow by two classical musicians, Chris studied piano and viola before taking up guitar, bass, and drums in his teens, eventually studying music composition at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. After graduating he began work on his first album, writing and recording everything from home. His Mercury nominated debut ‘Architect’ was released in 2015 and after a spell of touring the UK and Europe he returned to his home studio and began work on his Twilight Zone inspired second album ‘The Midnight Sun’ which was released in 2016 and shortlisted for Scottish Album of the Year. He supported Elbow on their UK and North American tour which led him to record his third album ‘Health’ at their studio in Salford with Craig Potter, which was released in 2019 and also shortlisted for Scottish Album of the Year. Chris signed to Bella Union and released his 4th album ‘Alluvium’ in 2022. Following this he produced records for Scottish harpist Gillian Fleetwood, and Downton Abbey actor Michael C. Fox, as well as writing music for documentaries and orchestral commissions. Chris’s new album ‘It’s Only A Love Song’ on Bella Union was recorded in his “new and improved” home studio and will be released in January 2025. He is also a keen artist and paints all his album artwork.

They came from the trees. Now settled in fertile east London, Snapped Ankles maintain the feral energy of the forest. Fight or flight. Primal motorik rhythms, the rush of white noise and post-punk angles; an aural onslaught played out on homemade log synths, electrified guitars and sticks beating hell on taut animal skin. Snapped Ankles have flourished in the sub-tropical climes of warehouse and squat parties, moving onto performance art collaborations with filmmakers and shows in unlikely locations such as barber shops, games arcades and the forests they once called home. They plough a singular furrow at improbable angles. The woodwose have discovered electricity and they’re not afraid to use it.

Wasted Youth were an English post-punk band from London, England, active between 1979 and 1982, which blended post-punk/pre-Goth with dark acoustic strains of the sort associated with Nick Drake and Syd Barrett. In 2021, Ken Scott and Rocco Barker announced that they were reviving Wasted Youth, with new members joining the band. The first shows for the reformed band sold out within hours of going on sale.

The tour always shows the good times and camaraderie of a jam session at its best. Glen was the youngest member of The Sex Pistols at only 16 and he wrote many of their hits including Anarchy In The UK, Pretty Vacant and God Save The Queen. He also played for many years in Iggy Pop’s band. Slick was Bowie’s guitarist and Musto played drums for the great Johnny Thunders amongst many others.

After being the lead singer for Transvision Vamp, Wendy James decided to pursue a solo career. She wrote a letter to Elvis Costello about her situation and was surprised when Costello wrote an entire album for her. Now Ain't the Time for Your Tears was recorded with guitarist Neil Taylor, bassist Cass Lewis, and drummer Pete Thomas, and released in early 1993. ~ John Bush (Apple Music)

A vital component of the infamous ‘Madchester’ movement, Inspiral Carpets formed in Oldham in 1980. Known for hit singles such as ‘This Is How It Feels’, ‘Saturn 5’ and ‘She Comes in the Fall’, they remain much-loved not only in Manchester but across the UK.

Kris Barras Band’s Death Valley Paradise crashed into the Official UK Album Charts at #27 in March 2022 - their highest charting album yet. Hailing a new beginning, they are heavier and darker than ever. “Dead Horses,” “My Parade,” “Who Needs Enemies” and “Chaos” were all A-listed at Planet Rock Radio and spent multiple weeks as the most played songs on the station. Guitarist Magazine hailed Barras as “reminiscent of shredders like Zakk Wylde”, and Classic Rock applauded the “pummelling riffs and from-the-gut vocals show his hard-rock colours at their brightest.” The moment they announced the first single, “Dead Horses”, they changed gear and have not looked back. From a UK tour with Back Stone Cherry in 2021 – culminating with a show at the Royal Albert Hall, before they then supported The Darkness for two special nights at London’s Shepherd Bush Empire. They spent March 2022 taking on, venue-wise, their biggest UK headline tour, selling out shows along the way. They then took on the massive stage of London’s Wembley Arena in support of Thunder and sailed through a triumphant Download festival debut on the second stage this summer. The ex-MMA/Cage fighter Barras has played the London Palladium, mainstages at festivals such as Planet Rockstock, Ramblin’ Man Fair and countless sold-out UK headline tours whilst picking up awards, multiple BBC Radio 2 sessions, critical acclaim and a fervent fanbase along the way.

From a background working in left-wing English fringe theatre groups, Punishment Of Luxury were a four-man post-punk band formed in December 1976 in Newcastle. Taking their name from an 1891 painting by Giovanni Segantini in the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, the band consisted initially of Brian Bond (born Brian Rapkin vocals), Neville Luxury (born Neville Atkinson guitar, vocals), Red Helmet (guitar, vocals), Jimi Giro (bass guitar, vocals), and Liquid Les Denham (drums). They released a single, Puppet Life on the Small Wonder label in July 1978. In 1979 they signed to United Artists and released the singles Engine Of Excess and, with new drummer Steve Sekrit (born Steven Robson), Secrets, and the album Laughing Academy. In the Summer of 1979 they played at the Reading Rock Festival after Bostik Swastika and The Cure and before The Tourists and Motörhead. 1980 saw the release of the single Laughing Academy. An extensive European tour followed and United Artists sent the band into the studio to record another album, a concept album to be called Gigantic Days. However while the recording was still going on, United Artists were taken over by EMI, who dropped the band. A final European tour was followed by Bond's departure. Neville, Sekrit and Giro recruited guitarist Tim Magenta to a new lineup, now going by the name Punilux. They released a further album on the Red Rhino label, 7 in 1983, with Magenta replaced by Rab Aitch, before Neville Luxury went solo, releasing the mini-album Feels Like Dancing Wartime in 1984. The album Gigantic Days was finally released, on CD, in 1998 by Overground Records.
