Glasgow Science Centre

Situated on the site of the 1988 Garden Festival, Glasgow's £75 million Science Centre features hundreds of interactive exhibits. Opened to the public in June 2001, Glasgow Science Centre is part of the ongoing redevelopment of Pacific Quay in Glasgow. It is a purpose-built science centre composed of three principal buildings: Science Mall, Glasgow Tower and an IMAX cinema. It also includes the Scottish Power Planetarium, Science Show Theatre and Climate Change Theatre. The Cineworld IMAX is Scotland's largest IMAX cinema, showing both educational and 3D Hollywood films. The Glasgow Science Centre is one of Scotland's most popular paid-for visitor attractions and was awarded a five star rating by the Scottish tourist board, VisitScotland.

Pitchblack Playback - Bob Dylan ‘Blonde on Blonde’
Glasgow Science Centre partners with Pitchblack Playback to transform The Planetarium into a space for deep listening, presenting Bob Dylan’s ‘Blonde on Blonde’ (60th Anniversary) in complete darkness. For one night only on 26 July, experience Bob Dylan and one of the greatest albums of all time - uninterrupted, immersive and in complete darkness, inside Glasgow Science Centre’s Planetarium. Hear the album played loud, in uncompressed audio, through the Planetarium’s powerful sound system. No phones; no talking; no signing; no distractions; just you and the music.
