Will Wilde with Support Ross Harding

20 Nov 2025 - 20 Nov 2025

Will Wilde has taken the harmonica way beyond its traditional blues roots since he first emerged on the music scene in 2010.Always pushing forward, evolving and redefining his sound. He gained popularity on Youtube with his awe-inspiring harmonica covers of classic rock guitar solos such as Lynyrd Skynyrd's Free Bird. Throughout 2022/23 Wilde has been touring with his critically acclaimed rock band Bad Luck Friday, but 2024 sees him return to the blues with the recording of a new solo album (release date TBC). Wilde’s hard-edged harmonica steals the spotlight from the traditional blues rock guitar, with a sound that owes as much to Gary Moore as it does to Sonny Boy Williamson ."I’m always looking to make new sounds with the harmonica, pushing its boundaries, trying to change people’s perception of it.”In fact Wilde has gone one step further and created his own signature "Wilde Tuned" harmonicas so he can play licks that weren’t possible before .“The Wilde tunings help me take things to the next level. They enable me to hold my own with any blues rock guitarist.” Wilde picked up his first harmonica at a house party when he was sixteen. “I basically nicked it,” he says. “It was a cheap plastic Guinness harmonica just lying around amongst the drink bottles and cigarette butts, I was drawn to it. ”From then on playing became an obsession. “I used to play along to old Muddy Waters records for hours every day. Sometimes I played so much my lips bled,” says Wilde. “I couldn’t get enough of it. I wanted to know everything it could do, every sound it could make. After a while it became like an extension of me.” Wilde comes from a musical family .“Music was always around me" he says. “Classic rock, blues and soul were the soundtrack to my childhood .”His grandfather was a wartime jazz & blues pianist and his sister, Dani Wilde, is an acclaimed blues singer in her own right. Wilde has released four studio albums and one live album: Unleashed (2010), Raw Blues (2013), Live In Hamburg (2015), Bring It On Home (2018) and Bad Luck Friday (2022), as well as appearing as a guest harmonica player on albums by Walter Trout, Earl Thomas, Toby Lee, Dani Wilde, Marcus Malone, Krissy Matthews and Brave Rival. His early music reflects more of a traditional blues sound, but over time he has developed a more aggressive style that draws from the classic rock and blues rock music he grew up on. Wilde has recently been nominated in the UK Blues Awards for "Instrumentalist of the Year 2024". Photo by Riccardo Piccirillo Ross Harding is an acclaimed Blues Rock Musician from Johannesburg, South Africa, currently based in the UK. As a Songwriter and performing artist, he personifies rich, powerful vocal abilities With mesmerizing guitar skills, gaining international industry recognition for His commanding blend of blues and rock music, reminiscent of the classic rock Grunge & blues artists of the past. A seasoned touring musician, he has played Hundreds of shows in clubs, festivals, and notable venues in his decade-long professional career. A Tribute to Fish-Era Marillion from Maquee Square Heroes
"We are going to play you part of our new album. It will only feature two songs: one called Side One and the other called Side Two." Fish Marquee square heroes invite you to relive the moments that made marillion one of the biggest bands in the world Marillion still regularly undertake a series of shows around the UK at Christmas. Take the opportunity to transport yourself back to the very beginning of this Christmas tradition that sits slightly outside many other more traditional seasonal spectaculars. By the end of 1984, Marillion had completed their second album and toured to great acclaim with the Fugazi album. Demand to see the band was huge, and a multitude of pirated bootleg live albums began circulating amongst their fans. EMI decided to release a live "mini-album," available at a reduced price. And thus was born Real to Reel, a live album that really captures the essence and spirit of the band at that time. A few Christmas gigs were then booked, and the Real to Reel Tour was undertaken. No one could have anticipated what would happen to Marillion in 1985. The decision to release Real to Reel enabled the band to concentrate on writing the album that became the biggest-selling of their career: Misplaced Childhood. Achieving Number 1 status in the album charts, it provided massive exposure with top 5 singles chart positions for Kayleigh and Lavender, and a strong chart position for Heart of Lothian too. Kayleigh was only kept from the top of the charts by a worthy charity single. You couldn’t turn the radio on in 1985 without hearing that classic song of lost love and lost opportunities. On this tour, not only did Marillion play an exceptional set of songs from their catalogue, but they also played 17 minutes of the new album live for the first time. It blew those who witnessed it away. This year, MARQUEE SQUARE HEROES will recreate those shows, performing not only a set that reflects that tour, but also the entire classic Misplaced Childhood album, along with other classics not performed on that tour. Tickets will be limited, so buy now to secure your place.

Pre:Fab!: A Sneak Preview with Colin Hall
“Pre:Fab!: A Sneak Preview”: provides audiences to join Award-Winning Beatles Author, Director and Former Custodian of ‘Mendips’, Colin Hall, in an exclusive peak at excerpts from the new upcoming autobiographical documentary film about the Quarry Men, John Lennon’s very first group formed when Lennon was just sixteen years old. A story rarely told, the film is based on the memoir of Colin Hanton the drummer Lennon recruited to play in the band. Hanton drummed for John for nearly three years which meant he was there the day John met Paul as well as the first time Lennon played The Cavern and the time George auditioned for his place in the group. Colin also performed on the very first recording John, Paul, George and keyboard player John Duff Lowe made - ‘That’ll Be The Day’ b/w ‘In Spite Of All The Danger’. Hanton’s story is unique and until now, largely untold. When he approached Colin Hall to co- author his memoir (for which Hall came up with the title, ‘Pre:Fab!’) little did the two realise how popular the autobiography would become. Almost immediately an offer to turn it into a feature-length documentary came from Great Northern Films based in Florida ... and from there the adventure began. Joining Colin Hanton as he narrates his own story are surviving Quarry Men - Len Garry, Rod Davies, John Duff Lowe and Sir Paul, together with rarely seen footage of original members Eric Griffiths and Pete Shotton. ColinHall co-wrote,narrates andco-directed thefilm. Filmed in Liverpool in the places where the story happened, notable contributors to the story are Mark Lewisohn, Bob Harris, Joe Brown, Billy Bragg and Peter Asher ... to name but a few. During the evening Colin Hall will share excerpts from the film with audiences, telling storiesbehind its making and the writing of the book. He will also present a view of his twenty years as custodian of ‘Mendips’ (ten of which he spent actually living in the house). ‘Mendips’ is, of course, John Lennon’s former childhood home in Liverpool -he might just be persuaded to say a few words about the day Bob Dylan dropped in to say hello. The performance will consist of 2 x 40 mins with 25 minutes or more extracts from the film Pre:Fab!

But the siblings have always been drawn back to each other’s playing and tight-knit instrumentals and harmonies reflect the bedrock of their lifelong musical history. Original material thoughtfully balances the duo’s roots in traditional English music. Their songs are characterised by honest vocals and timeless storytelling, underpinned by driving rhythms. Whilst their exquisite instrumentals weave delicate finger-picking guitar and soaring fiddle with a dynamic energy. After making waves with their EP - Dawn - in 2020, Painted Sky released their debut album From The Blue in May 2024. Produced by award-winning singer-songwriter, Blair Dunlop, the record stands as a testimony to the siblings’ 20 years of music making. Mitchell’s albums and songs are widely recognised as masterpieces, standards that would become the soundtrack to the lives of countless fans throughout the world and continue to draw and inspire new generations of fans. Zervas & Pepper are Welsh Singer/Songwriters Paul Zervas and Kathryn Pepper that have been creating and performing original music for over a decade professionally. The duo and their recording/touring band enjoy cult success on the UK and European Folk/Americana scene and have released five critically-acclaimed studio albums and undertaken countless live headline and support tours, receiving strong national and international network radio support throughout their career and their original music garnering praise and accolades from the likes of CSN&Y legend David Crosby, BBC DJ’s Mark Radcliffe, Bob Harris, Lauren Laverne and Don Letts. ‘This Flight Tonight’ is a celebration of Joni Mitchell’s music that the duo have had in the making for many years, and now 2023 will see them finally take this show on the road for the first time. The carefully-crafted set list will feature songs from Joni’s million-selling albums such as Clouds, Ladies of the Canyon, For The Roses, Court and Spark, featuring many cuts from her 1972 landmark release ‘Blue’. “We are musical purist’s” Kathryn Pepper explains “If we’re going to present Joni’s music for a live show then we are going to aim to recreate the performances almost exactly as they were intended, as songwriters and performers ourselves we know that every single note, inflection, momentary pause was placed there by the artist with intent.. We hold Joni Mitchell’s music in the utmost regard and so we aim to capture its inner spirit and channel its majesty into each live performance” Paul Zervas says “Joni’s music has so much depth, musically, lyrically and melodically, there’s so much to get your head around when attempting to recreate this classic songbook.. As a guitarist who learned to play from listening to Joni’s incredible catalog, it’s just staggering the sheer amount of alternate tunings, variances of chord positions and nuanced harmonic voicings that have gone into all these songs. We aim to be as authentic as possible when performing this music as it’s these important facets that the fans want to hear, with Joni’s music her tunings and alternative melodic approaches are just as important as her lyrics, its the interplay between to two that create the full picture of Mitchell’s evocative landscape.” As young songwriters Zervas & Pepper like many music fans were beguiled by Mitchell’s music.. “This music had such a profound effect on me that I completely immersed myself within Joni’s albums. Musically complex, lyrically intriguing.. I became an avid listener.. I learned to use my voice in ways I hadn’t for my early bands” Kathryn recalls.. We’ve thought long and hard about the type of show we ourselves would love to see as lifelong fans of Joni Mitchell’s music, We kept returning to what we consider to be the nucleus of Mitchell’s work, that pivotal break-out period 1968-1976 Reprise/Asylum Record era with the voice, guitar and piano front and centre. An intimate acoustic vibe that should feel like the audience is having a private listening session at Joni’s house in Laurel Canyon during the summer of love. Whilst we may not be able to actually fly in Crosby, Stills & Nash, James Taylor or Mama Cass.. we hope to invoke that spirit in our show. Romsey Male Voice Choir

Romsey Male Voice Choir

31 Jan 2026 - 31 Jan 2026

Romsey male voice choir is back ‘Singing Fun Taken Seriously’ RRMVC is back with a lively and eclectic musical mixture to make you laugh, make you cry, make you want to dance, or make you contemplate life and the power of music. At our first performance at Hangar Farm in February 24, we discovered a hugely welcoming, warm and friendly venue and had a fantastic audience, so were delighted to secure a spot in January 2026 to do it all again. We also have the great pleasure of once more welcoming on stage the choir’s guest performers who we and audience loved, the fabulous female, ‘award winning a cappella choir’ the Queen Bees. For those who don’t know Romsey Male Voice Choir, we’re a bunch of 60 plus men passionate about music, singing and performing and not just in one genre, not just in one language, but in several of each. With 30 years under our belt from 1995 to 2025 the choir has sung in venues across England and Wales, including the Royal Albert Hall, toured in Europe and competed in choir festivals in Bath, Cornwall and Cheltenham. In 2025 at the latter event, the prestigious Cheltenham Festival of Performing Arts, against competition from across the UK, we won two cups, an achievement made more poignant for the choir by a heartwarming commendation from the highly experienced adjudicator. A choir cannot live without a Musical Director and Accompanist. At RMVC we are fortunate to have our very talented MD, Marion Maxey, and two accomplished accompanists Richard Stannard and Brian Budden. With their guidance and our determination, RMVC thrives on a challenge, performing some of the most difficult arrangements for male voice choirs and giving audiences a progressive repertoire. With an undercurrent of informality, we aim to sing something for everyone, so we hope everyone at the concert in January finds that something.
