Weird Nightmare

Weird Nightmare

29 Aug 2026 - 5 Sept 2026

Every band worth its salt has a member who worked in a record store. In METZ, the fearless noise rock trio who released five full-length albums on Sub Pop between 2012 and 2024, it was singer and guitarist Alex Edkins. Slinging indie rock and hardcore records in his hometown record store while attending university, Edkins became an ardent student of rock 'n' roll; from the psychedelic 1960s to the DIY 1990s and beyond. The new Weird Nightmare album, Hoopla, mixes and matches these wide-ranging influences in fun, exhilarating combinations, showcasing his sophisticated musical mind. Bursting to life with hooks and earworms. Co-produced by Edkins and Spoon's Jim Eno at Seth Manchester's Machines With Magnets in Providence, RI. Edkins expands Weird Nightmare's dimensions to new heights, gilding the direct emotions of his straightforward songwriting with musical textures such as piano, bells, and castanets, giving these well-wrought tunes a shiny luster. Following the previously released single "Forever Elsewhere," which Stereogum called "... an undeniably infectious power-pop anthem", Weird Nightmare has shared an official video for their new song, "Might See You There," which was directed by CC Mulligan. Edkins shares about the track: "'Might See You There' is about going back to visit my hometown and being flooded with teenage nostalgia. Small-town boredom and isolation almost feel like a gift in today's highly connected world. I feel fortunate for that time spent idly, down in the basement, learning the entire Rancid 'Let's Go' album on guitar with my friends. I find it easy to romanticise that time in my life, even though I was, without question, a disgruntled kid who badly wanted to escape my surroundings and see the world. "I was listening to a lot of the Irish bands The Undertones and Protex while writing this one, and I think there is a fair bit of their influence. Just the simplicity and big bar chords mostly. Seth Manchester and I were very into the idea of adding piano and bells to the outro, akin to the Phil Spector-produced 'End of the Century' album by The Ramones. The great Julianna Riolino sings with me on the choruses, too!" Age restriction: 14+ / U16s accompanied by an adult

Reinhardt Buhr

Reinhardt Buhr

25 May 2026 - 28 May 2026

The story of Reinhardt Buhrs musical journey is one of transformation, inspiration, and devotion. At the age of 19, a friends newfound passion for the guitar spurred him on to pursue it himself. He discovered the flamenco guitar a year in and almost immediately landed his first little local gig. As a result of his natural talent, he was able to form a band that successfully toured all across the country in a very short amount of time. Reinhardt started out with playing the guitar to adding various instruments to his live set like: Electric cello, didgeridoo, piano, drums, hang drum, shofar, electric saxophone and much more! However, Reinhardts rise in the music scene was accompanied by a descent into a dark period of substance abuse, leaving him disconnected from his true self and from his surroundings. It was only after reaching a profound low that Reinhardt turned to God for help. In 2016, Reinhardt and his wife experienced a life-changing spiritual awakening that marked the beginning of their healing and salvation journey. He shifted from seeking fame and fortune to dedicating his entire music to playing for God as a result of this transformation. This transformation not only restored Reinhardts life, but also redefined his purpose as a musician. As a result of this new direction in his music, he has accumulated over 2 million social media fans who are captivated by his performances authenticity and spiritual depth. Reinhardt Buhrs music today goes far beyond an artistic expression; it is an offering of worship that seeks to bring healing, peace, and the presence of God to all listeners. A testament to grace, redemption, and the transformative power of committing ones talents to a higher purpose, his story is a testament to all of these things.

Joe Carnall Jnr

Joe Carnall Jnr

22 May 2026 - 13 Jun 2026

Twenty years after the release of Well Well Well, Joe Carnall Jnr returns to the songs that helped define a generation of Northern indie rock. As frontman of Milburn, Carnall's sharp storytelling, kitchen-sink wit and anthemic hooks captured the restless spirit of mid-2000s Britain and Well Well Well became a landmark debut that still resonates today. Now, two decades on, Carnall is marking the anniversary with an intimate run of shows that strip the record back to its raw essence. These special performances revisit the album's sharp-edged charm and emotional punch, offering fans a rare chance to experience the songs up close louder in feeling, closer in connection. From the wry observational lyricism to the punchy, melodic urgency that defined Milburn's early sound, Well Well Well remains a snapshot of youth, grit and ambition.

A Place To Bury Strangers

A Place To Bury Strangers

24 Aug 2026 - 9 Sept 2026

A Place To Bury Strangers have been delighting and astonishing audiences for close to two decades, combining post-punk, noise-rock, shoegaze, psychedelia, and avant-garde music in startling and unexpected ways. In concert, A Place To Bury Strangers is nothing short of astounding - a shamanistic experience that bathes listeners in glorious sound, crazed left turns, transcendent vibrations, real-time experiments, brilliant breakthroughs.
The Blow Monkeys

The Blow Monkeys

10 Sept 2026 - 17 Oct 2026

With hits like ‘Digging Your Scene’ and ‘It Doesn’t Have To Be This Way’, The Blow Monkeys epitomised the glamour of mid-80s pop at its most graceful and sophisticated. In the band’s frontman Robert Howard (aka Dr. Robert), they possessed a tall, charismatic singer who was both camera-friendly and clever, who appeared to be just as much at ease on the catwalk that is pop’s conveyor belt as he was penning witty, incisive songs. While quite clearly Robert’s band, though, the Blow Monkeys were also gifted three immensely talented musicians in bassist Mick Anker (he of the trademark bowler hat), saxophonist Neville Henry and drummer Tony Kiley. Behind the band’s stylish veneer lay something else, which became increasingly apparent from Robert’s lyrics. While some of the Smash Hits generation avoided politics with a capital P, The Blow Monkeys openly criticised the policies of the Conservative government, railing against social injustices and adopting an openly left-of-centre stance on issues of the day. From openly endorsing the gay community “Digging Your Scene” to an outright attack on Margaret Thatcher ‘Celebrate (The Day After You)’ – a duet with the late, great Curtis Mayfield, The Blow Monkeys were always the thinking person’s pop group. As the 1980s progressed, so too did the band’s musical style, from a sound once dubbed “jazz punk” by Robert to a more soulful, jazzy style and an ever-increasing adoption of dance music. The Blow Monkeys of their rare, indie debut single ‘Live Today Love Tomorrow’ (recorded on a shoestring in 1981) would be barely recognisable to those who bought the Balearic remix of ‘La Passionara’ from 1990. And yet a soulful, spiritually uplifting strain has continued to run through their music – and, indeed, that of Robert’s solo recordings – to this day.
Jesus Jones

Jesus Jones

24 Jul 2026 - 10 Dec 2026

A British alternative rock outfit from Bradford-on-Avon in Wiltshire, Jesus Jones' kinetic mix of samples, pop, dance, and techno resulted in one huge international hit single, "Right Here, Right Now." Known for their strong melodies and hooks, and for meshing club overtones with traditional rock guitar, the group, alongside contemporaries like EMF, the Shamen, and Pop Will Eat Itself, helped shape the '90s alternative rock scene by showing that sample-driven dance music could comfortably fit into pop music. While their popularity faded in the early 2000s, they continued to perform and record, albeit sporadically, with their sixth studio long-player, Passages, arriving in 2018 after a lengthy hiatus.

Born of the voices of past lives and baptized in the dust bowl dirt, the Gothic Americana music of the Heathen Apostles harkens back to a bygone chapter of American history. Using contrasting influences such as Bauhaus, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and The Pogues along with Howlin’ Wolf, Loretta Lynn and Bessie Smith, the Heathen Apostles have created a style of music that at once conjures both angels and demons, and will enlighten a darkened soul. Gothic Americana is a genre that is fast taking hold around the world, in that it combines the sub-genres of gothic country & bluegrass, dark blues, murderfolk and depression-era jazz. The Heathen Apostles are amongst the first to inject all four into their incendiary music.

Superchunk & Oblivians

Superchunk & Oblivians

23 Jun 2026 - 29 Jun 2026

Superchunk + Oblivians (14+ under 16's with and adult) Superchunk After the shocking, and for many, demoralizing result of the 2016 election, “I didn’t buy the silver lining some were promoting that ‘well, at least art and music will be great now!’,” says Superchunk co-founder and frontman Mac McCaughan. “Obviously, any sane person would gladly trade four to eight years of terrible music for not having our country dismantled to satisfy the whims of a vengeful child and his enablers.” That said, good music and art still have a lot to say, and the urgency of current events gave Mac, Laura, Jim, and Jon the momentum to make something new sooner than later. “It would be strange to be in a band, at least our band, and make a record that completely ignored the surrounding circumstances that we live in and that our kids are going to grow up in.” Enter What a Time to Be Alive, Superchunk’s first album in over four years. It’s a record, says Mac, “about a pretty dire and depressing situation but hopefully not a record that is dire and depressing to listen to.” Indeed, like so much of Superchunk’s music in the band’s nearly three decades together, the songs on What a Time to Be Alive meet rage and anxiety head-on with the catharsis and exhilaration of loud punk fire and vulnerable pop energy. Like 2013’s I Hate Music, which focused on death, loss, and the role of music in an aging life, the new record brings spirit to the frontlines of pain—it’s as defiant as it is despairing, as much a call to arms as a throwing up of hands.

Republica

16 Oct 2026 - 29 Nov 2026

Republica are back and have been very active recently. They released their highly acclaimed new EP ‘Christiana Obey’ and promoted it with a sold out UK tour and selected European festival appearances including the prestigious Isle Of Wight Festival, Norway’s Midnattsrocken Festival, The Welsh GB Rally and Hanover's Ferryman Festival in Germany. Republica dominated the charts in the Nineties and exploded back in 2013 with a new EP, UK tour and festival slots. The band's iconic and fiery front woman, Saffron, Tim Dorney (keyboard) and Johnny Male (guitar) rode the Britpop wave of female-fronted rock bands like Sleeper, Elastica, Garbage and Lush, injecting it with their self-dubbed 'techno-pop, punk rock' sound. Between 1996 and 1999, Republica sold an incredible 3 million albums and clinched Top 5 slots in the UK, America and Europe with platinum sales across the globe, while their hit single ‘Ready to Go’ soared to Number One in many countries. The band has never really been away, with their music becoming the soundtrack to the past few decades – ‘Ready to Go’ featured on more than 300 films and adverts and Wes Craven selected their hit single, ‘Drop Dead Gorgeous’ for the soundtrack to his hit movie Scream and invited them to perform at its Hollywood premiere. With her unique sound and iconic image, it is only natural that Saffron has been in demand from a host of the world's biggest music acts, including The Prodigy, who used her vocals on ‘Fuel My Fire’ from their critically-acclaimed ‘Fat of the Land’ album. Saffron also worked with The Cure on single ‘Just Say Yes’; collaborated with Junkie XL for his 2003 album ‘Radio JXL: A Broadcast from the Computer Hell Cabin’ and scored a number one dance single with him; she duetted with Gary Numan, recorded ‘Pork-U-Pine’ with Jeff Beck for his album, ‘Jeff’; worked with DJ Carl Cox on ‘Get What You Paid 4’ and also worked with artists including Jah Wobble - who wrote ‘World Of You’ for her - N-Joi - performing on their hit, ‘Anthem’ - Mark Moore, St Etienne and The Shamen. Republica have been touring constantly over the last couple of years with a sell out 20th anniversary tour co-headlining with Space, performances in Dubai, Israel and Germany and a sell out UK tour with Sir Bob Geldolf’s Boomtown Rats. Their first 2 albums are being reissued this year as Deluxe Double and Triple CDs to be followed by the highly anticipated new album.
Part Chimp

Part Chimp

27 Aug 2026 - 28 Aug 2026

In the psychic wastelands of the 21st century, one particular sonic force looms large. Transcendental like the malignant force that fuels the zombie movies of lore, Part Chimp have made it their business to shake speaker-stacks, fry brains and induce jouissance and tinnitus alike across the UK. The band's live show is everything that makes Part Chimp the most intimidating primate fit to lay waste to Bath. It is a fearsome testimony to a band with a skewed melodic skill to match their mighty potency. Echoes of their forebears - the ornery prehistoric lurch of Melvins and the droogy ur-clang of Sonic Youth among them - can be distantly discerned, yet they’re now drowned out by an individual assault as pulverising as invigorating, nihilistic yet life-affirming. This band will demolish your house, but you’ll cheerfully thank them for it afterwards. The bands joy at playing live comes through the panic and chaos of always being on the verge of a sonic calamity. Mostly due to their decrepit equipment, never writing set lists, drunkenness and under-rehearsing. People are used to some degree of professionalism when they see a band. There’s a lot of ‘confidence’ in music these days which can leave audiences cold. Part Chimp have always represented the shambolic element of performance. We love it when peoples gear messes up, strings break, amps fritzing. It brings out the reckless abandon in a performance... which is precisely what we will get from Part Chimp

David Ford

David Ford

3 Jun 2026 - 26 Feb 2027

These days, David Ford feels much more at home operating on the fringes of the music business, not trying to be famous, not trying to get rich. It might be an unconventional way to conduct a musical career, but this is not a conventional guy, as evidenced by his most recent album, Animal Spirits, a surprisingly accessible, even soulful collection of songs about economics. As an artist Ford still defies classification or comparison. Singer-songwriter doesn’t begin to cover it. He writes and performs with fluency across multiple genres, plays every instrument on the stage and even invents new ones to create truly unique recordings and performances. Every live show is different. Ford’s trademark one-man loop machine circus grows more complex and audacious every year, but then he is just as likely to show up with a six-piece band, a string quartet, jazz drummer or a choir and his most recent UK tour proved he can be equally compelling sat in an armchair, playing acoustic guitar and telling stories. The result is a live spectacle described by The Guardian as “unmissable”. As well as playing sold-out headline shows on both sides of the Atlantic, he has toured with and supported artists such as Elvis Costello, Allen Toussaint, Ray LaMontagne, Aimee Mann, Sara Bareilles, Gomez, Aqualung, Richard Ashcroft, Suzanne Vega, Augustana, Ingrid Michaelson and Jakob Dylan.
Home Counties

Home Counties

18 Jun 2026 - 18 Jun 2026

Home Counties make melodically rigid, socially-charged anthems that are both lyrically tongue-in-cheek and scathingly satirical. The quintet who were previously known as Haze, combine angular guitar work with furious percussion and have toured with the likes of Shame, Sports Team and Pip Blom. Their debut EP Redevelopment on has had radio support from Huw Stephens and Jack Saunders (BBC Radio 1), Tom Robinson (BBC 6 Music) and Matt Wilkinson (Beats 1).

In constant demand and having played just about every festival and two-bit, jibe-arsed dive in Christendom, Mad Dog Mcrea are, in every sense of the word, a live, band.

Iguana Death Cult

Iguana Death Cult

18 Oct 2026 - 18 Oct 2026

With Iguana Death Cult's latest iteration, the band laments on personal stories of hardship and doubt whilst fixing their gaze on the burning world around them. Guitars, percussion, synths and a whole lot of soul-searching is all that Iguana Death Cult needed for their recent resurrection. As part of a personnel change the band gained a strong new line-up, including the dazzlingly virtuous drummer Uri Rennert (previously in Häxxan and Brian Jonestown Massacre). This new era of Iguana Death Cult's existence is channeling their earlier punk and garage style while simultaneously feeling unmistakably like a product of today. It is characterised by razor sharp and highly rhythmic riffing by Tobias Opschoor and the relentless drumming by Uri Rennert. By the ever-groovy and effortlessly cool percussion and synths by Jimmy de Kok and by the hefty yet heartfelt voice of frontman Jeroen Reek, guiding the listener through feelings of despair, anger and solace, in that very order. Iguana Death Cult is a band who have made quite the miles in the last decade. Started as a group of young friends in 2014 wanting to make rock 'n roll, the band has risen to great heights including touring with Osees, Frankie and the Witchfingers, supporting Jack White, playing SXSW, Levitation Festival and Desert Daze and doing multiple successful US tours. On their new record Guns Out, released via Greenway Records, Iguana Death Cult is exercising self-reflection on multiple levels: by breaking with the more indie-like, art-punk-funk sound of their previous album (Echo Palace, released through Innovative Leisure in 2023), returning to a more 'in your face' punchy garage rock style. Secondly, by confronting a behaviour of escapism, and the toll that way of living takes on the self. And finally by ways of questioning their ways of writing music, returning to a faster, more spontaneous process. Guns Out is an album that's tough and rigid on the outside but soft and contemplative on the inside. Moreover, it is the story of a band coming to terms with their own existence in the world they live in. His strange stories unfold with reckless abandon upon a distinctive guitar and foot tambourine accompaniment, influenced as much by the avant-garde as music from the Middle Ages and his home place in rural Ireland.
