Peter and the Test Tube Babies

Peter and the Test Tube Babies

15 May 2025 - 3 Oct 2025

Peter and the Test Tube Babies are a punk rock band that was formed in the small town of Peacehaven, England in 1978 by Del Strangefish and Peter Bywaters. Due to their humorous tongue-in-cheek lyrics, they have been considered part of the Punk Pathetique subgenre. Peter and the Test Tube Babies were first featured in Sounds magazine in July 1980, and after a John Peel Radio One session, made their vinyl debut on the Brighton compilation album Vaultage 78. They also had two songs on the seminal Oi! compilation Oi! the Album in that same year. They favoured absurd lyrics and strange titles, such as "The Queen Gives Good Blow Jobs". In 1982, they covered the chart-topping Gary Glitter hit "I'm the Leader of the Gang (I Am)" on their album Pissed and Proud.
Los Pacaminos

Los Pacaminos

9 Oct 2025 - 22 Nov 2025

Bring on the Tex-Mex fun as Los Pacaminos invite you on a high-octane tequila-fuelled journey to border blues-ville. Expect a mash-up of Mariachi and Norteno styles from Mexico alongside the Country/Blues sounds of South-West America. Tex-mex is played by such luminaries as Ry Cooder, Flaco Jimenez, The Texas Tornados and of course Los Lobos. Plus - in the case of Los Pacaminos - Paul Young, one of the UK’s best- loved vocalists, who heads a formidable gang of well-seasoned musicians. As Paul says ‘Los Pacaminos started out just for fun, playing simply for the pleasure of it. It all took off from there. It’s real bar-room stuff - foot stompers, not too many slow songs - a real party atmosphere.’ A typical Pacaminos set might include Wooly Bully, La Bamba and sometimes, if enough tequila is flowing, Speedy Gonzales. Up for the party? Put your blues on cruise and come and join the fun!
Hannah White: 'Sweet Revolution' Album Launch
Hannah White, one of the UK's fastest-rising singer-songwriters, will release her highly-anticipated new album Sweet Revolution on November 3 via The Last Music Company. Having created an impressive songbook in recent years with her uniquely poignant compositions, the record is Hannah's first for the respected independent company, on which her new labelmates include Jimmie Vaughan, Geraint Watkins, Dan Penn and Andy Fairweather Low. The album will arrive on the heels of its atmospheric, driving first single 'Chains of Ours,' as White and her band continue a busy summer of festival performances including The Long Road in Leicestershire on August 25. She and husband and guitarist Keiron Marshall then embark on a prestigious itinerary as opening guests on revered British vocalist and writer Paul Carrack's UK tour. It's the exciting culmination of a memorable year for London-based White, who began 2023 by winning Best UK Song for 'Car Crash' at the Americana Music Association UK Awards. The searingly autobiographical song came from the About Time album, which won rave reviews across the UK and far beyond. Now comes Sweet Revolution, a bold new chapter in a singular story, in which White has confronted and overcome the formidable challenges that inform her lyrics and make her work so strikingly personal. The album is produced by Michele Stodart of UK folk-pop mainstays the Magic Numbers who, like pedal steel player Holly Carter and drummer Emma Holbrook, is a regular member of Hannah's live band. Sweet Revolution features 11 new compositions, all written solely by White, who sings all lead vocals and plays acoustic guitar and, on the song 'One Foot,' dulcimer, percussion and even didgeridoo. This is a 16+ event, U18s must be accompanied by an adult.

One of the most lauded singer-songwriters of her generation, Dar Williams has been captivating audiences with her sheer elegance and honesty in her folk-pop songwriting since the early '90s. As documented on her last album, the 2012 In The Time Of Gods,, Williams’ growth as an individual over her almost two-decade-long career has gone hand-in-hand with her evolution as an artist. She has toured with such distinguished artists as Joan Baez, Patty Griffin, Ani DiFranco, and Shawn Colvin. Lucy Wainwright Roche opens the show. "Dar Williams, one of America's very best singer-songwriters… Her songs are beautiful. Some are like finely crafted short stories. They are, variously, devastatingly moving, tenderly funny, subtle without being in any way inaccessible, and utterly fresh—not a cliché or a clunker in her entire songbook." -The New Yorker "Known for her lyrical, evocative songwriting and singing…Ms. Williams has been a leading figure in the folk-rock world for nearly 20 years." -Wall Street Journal "Seasons change, but Williams remains both ambitious and pleasingly plainspoken." -Rolling Stone "A new generation of pop-folk enthusiasts lauds her as one of the genre's central figures." -Paste "One of our most thoughtful singer-songwriters." -New York Daily News
Jarrod Dickenson

Jarrod Dickenson

20 May 2025 - 27 Feb 2026

Texas-born songwriter, Jarrod Dickenson's slightly spooky melodies and lyrics invoke a mid-Western post-war America, when cars ran on leaded gas, television hadn't yet kidnapped the country's imagination, and men wore hats every day. His reflective lyrics, almost like hand-written letters, remind us that human stories of lost love, sudden fortune, and abiding mystery transcend the decades.
