Hexham Racecourse, set at the bottom of a sloping green that provides a natural amphitheatre, hosts 14 race meetings from spring to autumn. The complex also includes the Pavilion Restaurant, with the venue available for wedding bookings. The track is serviced by two buses each race day, one from the railway station and one from the bus station.
