This is a first for Sweat. An afternoon/early evening of Sweaty classics from 3pm - 9pm in the intimate setting of the Artum. The artum is a self contained 150 capacity club with the fabulous Hockley Social Club. It's air conditioned, has a popping sound system and it's own bar. Expect Sweat classics classics of course but because we have 6 hours, we'll have the chance to play some of those Sweat rarities too. Artum Presents....DJ SLIMZEE! Godfather of Grime, Rinse FM co-founder and Pirate Radio Pioneer DJ SLIMZEE hits Artum on Saturday 21st June for a big night of Grime, UKG, Bass & more! Co-founding Rinse FM way back in 1994 Slimzee was one of the first DJs to start introducing the dark new music coming out of the UK garage scene into his dj sets, hosting a Sunday afternoon grime show which would regularly showcase some of the genre's best MCs. Many artists who featured on Slimzee's pirate radio shows went on to have mainstream success, with Slimzee himself receiving a golden disc in recognition of his contribution to Dizzee Rascals legendary "Boy in Da Corner" album!
