Black Ends, Lilith Ai

Black Ends, Lilith Ai

17 May 2025 - 17 May 2025

Black Ends - Black Ends’ self-described gunk-pop is about as sweet as that wad of asphalt-crusted bubblegum you found stuck on the bottom of your favorite boots. Much like the legendary grunge bands that influenced the Seattle trio, Black Ends is artfully adept at smothering catchy pop and rock structures with toxic levels of grime; but please don’t call them “post-grunge”, the term used to describe the major label wave of flannel-clad bands trying to capitalize on grunge’s aesthetic. If you must, “post-post-grunge” may be more apt at capturing Black Ends’ reaction against this type of commercialization. Lilith Ai- a person that makes music some people like. San Vito

31 May 2025 - 31 May 2025

UXB Music Promotion/Sounds Of The Suburbs Records present https://www.facebook.com/Sounds-of-the-Suburbs-record-store-1078521195544807/ Stemming from your lust for picturesque punk, SAN VITO and THE SILENCERS dance with your unspoken romance and pleasure cut cults. San Vito created his neo-punk/black drip blues in a pole dancing speakeasy, which is now the TASTE MY CHARM EP - produced by Luke Oldfield (son of Mike Oldfield, The Wytches, Metronomy). She wants death, but she wants to survive it Kristian Bell reveals to ignite the EP. Now, San Vito and writing partner Harry Green join Kristian Bell (The Wytches) as a producer of the upcoming EP, released in Spring 2025. https://www.facebook.com/SanVitoRyder https://www.instagram.com/sanvitoryderigsh=Y3g4dXhuamxubjVk Bones Ate Arfa Following in the godlike footsteps of Queens of the Stone Age, Gorillaz, TySegall and Them Crooked Vultures, Brighton's Bones Ate Arfa will literally eat your bones with its new found sound. Their debut single 'Asbestos' roots the band in their desert garage rock sound while bringing in influences of industrial 90s metal and psychedelic punk. https://www.facebook.com/bonesatearfa https://www.instagram.com/bones_ate_arfaigsh=MWh3aXB2ZHkwMmNpZw== https://youtu.be/kWGsqCAPgTM'si=c8vnf6WIT1mcWt9Y It's time, Brothers & Sisters, to be seen on the scene with Quick Romance Hayden James, on lead guitar, and Gabe Thomas on bass are the rocknroll bookends that were Wayne Kramer and Fred Sonic Smith, redrawn for the here and now. The boys see themselves as two straws in the same Coke (other gut-rotting, thirst-quenching, shit-coloured drinks are available). Quick Romance singer, Matilda Scotland, slapped Ian Hunter down in the first round to relieve him of his shades, which she now wears proudly as she warns us of the perils of growing up in a big bad world. She likes clothes, music and Brian Jones's hair. Making more signals than Thomas The Tank Engine could shake a drum stick at, drummer Oliver Bull-Lifely, moves like a wind chime in a tropical storm, he is the time-keeper's time-keeper. Unlike the White Rabbit, you cant set you watch by him, but who wears a watch these days If you want to know what you are about to experience, why dont you try imagining Poly Styrene joining The Sick Things for a chorus of Bondage Boy. If you dont want to know, why dont you And, for the record, teen punks Quick Romance will sing for Scotland Yard if the price is right. https://www.facebook.com/profile.phpid=61559579349682 https://www.instagram.com/quickromancebandigsh=OWQ2aHFoeDNkandy Doors 7:30 Bar until 1am Advance tickets £10 or £12 OTD, all major credit cards accepted.

Roman Jugg

21 Jun 2025 - 21 Jun 2025

UXB Music Promotion/Sounds Of The Suburbs Records present https://www.facebook.com/Sounds-of-the-Suburbs-record-store-1078521195544807/ Roman Jugg began his career in the Welsh punk band Victimize in the late 1970s. An acquaintance of Paul Gray, Jugg was originally hired in late 1981, recording various projects for The Damned, Naz Nomad and the Nightmares and David Vanian and the Phantom Chords. Jugg's alias during his Naz gigs was Sphinx Svenson. After Captain Sensible left The Damned in 1984, Jugg moved from keyboards to main guitar and became a full member,on the studio albums Phantasmagoria (1985) and Anything (1986). After the 1989 breakup of The Damned he continued to work with Dave Vanian and Bryn Merrick, forming The Phantom Chords.[ A studio album called David Vanian and the Phantom Chords was released in 1995. In May 2004, after a nine-year absence, Jugg released a new solo album called Papa Loco. https://www.facebook.com/share/1Yqj6GEbet/ https://www.instagram.com/rcmanjuggigsh=OHpnc3p1cGJkbmIw https://youtu.be/hPURt3YiIeo'si=rQvVhLVZEenvwf7w The Headhunters Raucous rock'n'roll at its best! The band was formed by Jez Miller on guitar and vocals, Ray Birch on bass and Ozzie on drums. The above trio have served time as Damned/Lords of the New Church guitarist Brian James band and also backed ex Heartbeaker Walter Lure, as his UK Waldos. Ray Birch and Oz were the rhythm section in Birmingham's favourite rock'n'rollers Gunfire Dance, which is how they first made Brian's acquaintance, with Rat and him taking on production duties for their Ultra Under 7" vinyl release. When Brian needed fresh blood for the Brian James Gang, he merely had to cast his eye up the M6. Gunfire Dance have recently had a career retrospective album released on Easy Action Records, which has garnered great reviews. The was completed when the trio joined forces with guitarist Martyn Nelson from fellow Brummie glam rockers King Adora, who achieved considerable national and international success in the early 2000s. The Headhunters set consists of self-penned originals, but given their pedigree, you may well hear the occasional familiar ditty... The Phobics https://www.facebook.com/thephobics https://youtu.be/5eGOeOmiJwo'si=eOkNin6x-euSFhUc Formed in Deptford fun city in 1999 by a bunch of punk survivors and misfits with a love of raw punk n roll; it's our 26th Year too! Not pure punk like Ramones, nor New Wavey-doodle rock'nroll like Talking Heads. Think The Heartbreakers! Doors 7:30 Bar until 1am Advance tickets £13 or £15 OTD, all major credit cards accepted.

No support, music starts 8.15pm. £10 adv (includes booking fee) "With influences as diverse as Brit-pop, prog, post-rock, indie and much more, this is the sound of a muse in a blender. Eight Rounds Rapid

Eight Rounds Rapid

5 Jul 2025 - 5 Jul 2025

UXB Music Promotion/Sounds Of The Suburbs Records present https://www.facebook.com/Sounds-of-the-Suburbs-record-store-1078521195544807/ Eight Rounds Rapid "Edgy, drugged-up thug punk. Loss Leader is Thames Estuary crude given a vital contemporary twist. Invest now." 8/10 Uncut "On tracks such as Writeabout, singer David Burke's quick-fire Essex-drawl conveys barbed verse worthy of John Cooper Clarke or Mark E.Smith." ★★★★ Mojo Eight Rounds Rapid's songs are rooted in trad blues, but guitar from Simon Johnson and singer David Alexander's acerbic delivery make the act sound like John Cooper Clarke and Mark E Smith jamming in a Southend bus depot, with their gritty tales of the Essex underworld. The group gained a national audience when they supported Wilko Johnson on his UK Farewell Tour, winning over BBC DJs, Artrocker magazine and a clutch of bloggers with their polarising performances at Koko London. https://www.facebook.com/share/18QFZKNApz/ The Hurricanes are a loud Mod Garage band playing 60s Soul, R&B and Boss British Beat like it was 1966 all over again. Four chaps who had been around the musical block decided to get it together to be the kind of band they'd like to go and see themselves. Hurricanes Clarke, Jones & Robinson spent many years from the mid nineties chasing the fetid corpse of the britpop infused music industry around in cult heroes Collide who put out 2 Eps before quitting. Hurricane Norton, having spent a couple of years being Collides brass section, would become the low slung bass playing lynchpin of punk/ska legends The Pressure Tones before they split. From playing covers in their first few gigs, the band inevitably started writing their own material. And even more inevitably felt that they wanted to record. The bands debut single 'Cool Jerk' came out in 2016 on Let Go! Records with their debut album 'Let's Go!' following two years later. Since then the band have signed with the ultra hip Spinout Nuggets label and put out another 2 albums - 'Look Out! It's The Hurricanes' (2020) and last years album 'Here Comes The Storm'. https://www.facebook.com/share/14nQ8G5LfX/ Problem Tenants Three old pals from way back bumped into each other at a gig. They said, let's have a jam next week, liked what occurred, and before they knew it they had a smashing set of their own tunes, influenced by elements of garage, mod, psych & punky rhythm & blues. Featuring former, & current members of The Fallen Leaves, The Aardvarks, Spellbinder Project, The SD5, Thee Escapees. Ladies and gentlemen we give you... The Problem Tenants. https://www.facebook.com/share/1H2t467BUS/ Doors 7:30 Bar until 1am Advance tickets £10 or £12 OTD, all major credit cards accepted.
Tesla Death Ray, Madonovan, Plato and the Moondogs, Spinmaster Plantpot
Formed in 2015, Zurich's TESLA DEATH RAY is known for their engaging, eclectic, and powerful live performances. Their psychedelic rock songs have a distinct identity, yet seamlessly blend into a cohesive whole. Hailing from Brighton, and making his London debut tonight, scene-maker MADONOVAN is a singer, musician and self-proclaimed leader of the second psychedelic revolution. PLATO AND THE MOONDOGS are a psychedelic-folk-rock indie 4-piece outta London, and the patches of quaint green around it... SPINMASTER PLANTPOT High-vis vignettes written on discarded Mars Bar wrappers, poetry in motion, rhymes for interesting times and much more besides...

Taubs, The Fiends

Taubs, The Fiends

23 Aug 2025 - 23 Aug 2025

TAUBS - What started as a solo project became a band. Here's how it went down... Out of the sludge and the slime and the rigorous competitiveness of London in the 2020s was formed a Taubs! Lost, late, stumbling around and screaming into the void, Taubs needed help. Enter Josh, Jamie and Shay! His musical minders propping him up and taking him on a new journey through the modern day musical jungle. No more screaming into the void! They’re screaming down your door! The Fiends - Known for their shoegaze melodies, The Fiends are an alt-Indie rock outfit from Swansea, South Wales. Fronted by Ethan Goslett’s honest and rugged vocals mixed with poetic lyricism shows a raw and compelling perspective of his songwriting.
