Brighton and Hove 5k Rainbow Run

Brighton and Hove 5k Rainbow Run

1 Aug 2025 - 1 Aug 2025

The Brighton and Hove Rainbow Run is Back and More Fantastic Than Ever Hold on to your glitter – the Brighton and Hove Rainbow Run is strutting back into town for its fourth outrageously fun year. Returning to Hove Park on Friday, 1st August at 7pm, this 5K fun run is fast becoming a Pride Weekend institution. This year's proceeds go to Allsorts Youth, a local LGBTQ+ youth charity that is doing amazing work. Organised by the Brighton & Hove FrontRunners, and registered with English Athletics, this isn’t just a run – it’s a glam slam carnival of colour, cardio and camp. Come dressed to impress in your most extraordinary festival outfit. Sequins? Yes. Feather boas? Always. Running shoes? Optional (but highly recommended). Prizes will be given to the fastest male, female and non-binary runners, and, of course, the person who serves the most in fancy dress. Whether you’re here for the speed or the sparkle, there’s something for everyone. DJs from Gaydio will be spinning the bangers while you run, strut, or prance your way through the course. Expect tunes, cheers, and appearances from your favourite local drag royalty and fabulous friends who will be hosting the event and sprinkling joy like biodegradable confetti. New for 2025: We're rolling out a colour-themed medal every year, so you can start a collection that'll make your neck sparkle like a Pride parade disco ball. Collect them all. Since its debut in 2022, the Rainbow Run has grown to accommodate 500 runners – and this year, we’ve got new awards for best corporate and non-corporate teams, so gather your workmates, housemates, or fellow gym bunnies and register a team. Or just wing it solo and make some rainbow friends along the way. Making a welcome return is our hilarious warm-up, hosted by Paul from RunCore Fitness, aided by his glamorous assistants. Get your blood pumping in style! Every participant – whether you’re sprinting, sashaying or slow-dancing across the finish line – gets a limited-edition Rainbow Run medal and a goodie bag packed with surprises from amazing local businesses, including free Fatto a Mano pizza and a pint courtesy of Unbarred Brewery. Volunteers and run-day heroes needed! If you or your glittery sidekick want to help, drop us an email: [email protected] See you there!

Brighton and Hove Rainbow Run

Brighton and Hove Rainbow Run

2 Aug 2025 - 2 Aug 2025

Info Brighton and Hove Rainbow Run takes place on Saturday the 2nd August 2025. In 2022 the Brighton and Hove FrontRunners became the latest chapter in the worldwide LGBTQ Running Group to create their own charity run. The event was a wild success, raising over £2140 for local HIV charity, Lunch Positive. In 2023, we returned to Hove Park bigger and better with more runner places and even more fun, raising over £3500 for The Brighton Rainbow Fund. The third time is definitely the charm as now the number of runner places has doubled from 2022, we are ready to welcome a phenomenal 500 of you. The Rainbow Run is fast becoming one of the must-do events of the Brighton and Hove Pride Weekend. You now have the ability to run as a group. Be it simply a circle of friends, officemates or even multinational corporations, it is an easy process. When initially signing up, simply create a group name that others can then add themselves to. If you are entering multiple teams from the same company, always put the company name first, or it may not count to your group total. We'll even present a recognition certificate to the team with the most participants. We are encouraging runners of all abilities to join us from the local community, our running friends in Brighton and Hove and new friends from outside of town. Special prizes will be awarded to the best fancy dress, so don your most colourful and sparkly pride outfit for the run.
