The National Lottery Heritage Fund awards grants to projects that connect people and communities to heritage. A heritage project can provide a wealth of opportunities for organisations and communities, such as developing new skills, improving wellbeing and creating better places to live work and play. Tameside has recently been announced as one of the Heritage Fund's Heritage Places. This is a long-term commitment to taking a 'place based' approach to funding heritage in Tameside. Therefore, we want to work with organisations in Tameside to explore the potential that a heritage project might hold for them and how they might secure our funding to make it happen. Join us on the day to: Learn about what we can fund and how you might develop your own heritage project. Meet members of your local Engagement Team from the Heritage Fund and learn more about what we can fund and how to get further advice. Hear about what previously funded heritage projects have achieved with grant funding. Connect with other local organisations to build your networks. We are always happy to see groups and organisations who are new to our funding. This event is the perfect opportunity to find out if the Heritage Fund is the right funder for your next project. This event will be delivered in partnership with Tameside Local History Forum, a great source of support and information for anyone interested in or looking to explore local heritage.
