Martin Kemp: Back to the 80s

Martin Kemp: Back to the 80s

3 Apr 2026 - 6 Feb 2027

He’s back… and turning the volume up even louder. After tearing the roof off with his Back to the 80s show last year, 80s icon, heart-throb and Spandau Ballet legend Martin Kemp returns on Friday 1st May for the ultimate kickstart to summer. Expect wall-to-wall anthems as Martin spins the biggest hits of the decade - think Duran Duran, Madonna, George Michael, Chaka Khan, and yes… Gold will absolutely be played. Cue colossal singalongs, hands-in-the-air moments and more throwbacks than your first mixtape. So dust off the shoulder pads, tease that fringe sky-high and embrace the glow as the Beer Palace is transformed into the ultimate 80s playground - all big tunes, bold looks and zero inhibitions. If you joined us last summer, you know exactly what’s coming. If you didn’t… consider this your warning.

Outer Waves Festival

Outer Waves Festival

23 May 2026 - 23 May 2026

A boundary-pushing music and arts festival celebrating emerging and underground arts. Outer Waves 2026: Liverpool’s Experimental Arts Festival Returns Following an acclaimed debut in 2025, Outer Waves Festival returns to Liverpool this spring for its second edition, taking place May 23-24, across Invisible Wind Factory and Make North Docks. Outer Waves is a weekend of boundary-pushing sound, performance, and art - a gathering for the curious and the sonically adventurous. This year’s programme brings together an international roster of artists exploring ritual, rhythm, and raw emotion in all their forms. The 2026 lineup features OXN (featuring Radie Peat of Lankum), weaving Irish folk mysticism through droning electronics; Dame Area, the Catalan duo known for their percussive industrial minimalism; Jarboe feat Thor Harris & Joy Von Spain (ex-Swans), two legendary figures of transcendent experimental rock; Waq Waq Kingdom from Japan, fusing psychedelic dance and tribal bass; Syrian musician Mohammad Syfkhan, whose euphoric reinterpretations of Dabke music ignite dance floors; Liverpool art collective a.P.A.t.T., masters of genre-defying chaos; the ever-anarchic Unstoppable Sweeties Show; and Domestic Partners, bringing surreal, queer performance pop. Beyond the performances, Outer Waves 2026 will host workshops, panel discussions, and art installations, with further details to be announced. Presented by Outer Waves Festival. This is an 18+ event

70s Vs 80s Day Disco!

2 May 2026 - 25 Jul 2026

We're bringing the party so get ready to strut, spin, and sing your heart out! We're turning up the funk and cranking the synths for a daytime disco showdown that'll take you on a non-stop musical journey through the biggest hits of the 70's and 80's. Whether you're a platform-shoed disco diva or a neon-loving pop king, whether you're more ABBA or more Wham!, more Diana Ross or more Whitney, this is your dancefloor battleground. Perfect for the over-30s crowd who know how to party before the sun goes down (and still be in bed at a respectable hour). We're bringing the full dancefloor energy - just with less 3am regret and more daylight sparkle. Live band, double trouble vocalists. Feel the groove with a phenomenal live 3-piece band and two powerhouse vocalists bringing the classics to life. From Chic to Chaka Khan, Donna Summer to Duran Duran - we're covering all the anthems that defined a generation (or two). ALL DANCING. ALL PARTY. ALL DAY. This isn't your average "background music" gig - it's an all-out celebration. Expect singalongs, big moves, and even bigger hair. Sequins encouraged. Fancy dress? Absolutely. Good times? Guaranteed. So grab your tickets, dust off your disco boots, and let's make this a party you'll never forget. 70s vs 80s - the battle of the decades is ON. Whose side are you on?
