Oasish // Made Of Stone Roses: LEEDS inc 30 years of indie party
Since forming in 2004, Oasish have taken the tribute world by storm. The attention to detail is incredible and many have hailed them as being better than the real thing! Definitely the best Oasis show you're ever likely to see again, going by the way the infamous siblings still can't be in the same room together. Oasish have performed at Wembley Stadium, The National Indoor Arena, Manchester Academy and are the only band to perform at the now world famous Glastonbudget Festival EVERY single year its been running. Made Of Stone Roses only formed in 2024 but they are up there with the best tributes to the Roses and are playing to great acclaim with social media comments saying how great they are and looking forward to seeing them again, remarking how great their 'John Squire' is! Both bands will be playing their full live sets, not the truncated versions you get at festivals so you'll be getting almost three hours of live music then once the bands finish, the night doesn't stop there. DJ Mutant Movement will keep you dancing until 1am with a 30 year retrospective look at indie including music from the 80s, 90s, 00s & 10s from the like of The Smiths Waterboys Housemartins New Order La's Stone Roses Charlatans Primal Scream Stereo MC's Suede Blur Pulp Lush Verve Fatboy Slim Chemical Brothers Hives Strokes Libertines Killers Kaiser Chiefs Arctic Monkeys Fratellis Kooks Wombats Courteeners MGMT Florence & The Machine Two Door Cinema Club You Me At Six Vaccines & more. The Longest Johns

The Longest Johns

9 May 2026 - 30 May 2026

The Longest Johns are a Bristol based, acapella folk music band, born out of a mutual love of traditional folk songs and shanties. They rock maritime songs alongside the more unusual and less traditional folk tunes. I doubt any of Bristol’s The Longest Johns ever imagined they would be able to get so far on just four voices. In a few short years they have gone from singing sea shanties in a kitchen to International folk festivals, tours, TV appearances and gained a huge online following. As the face of the 2021 sea shanty revival with their track Wellerman, the Johns are reaching millions of new fans all across the globe and showing them just how great these songs can be.

Thee Oh Sees

Thee Oh Sees

14 Jul 2026 - 15 Jul 2026

With a stage show that's best described as sweat-drenched and a long list of albums sporting their trademark unhinged approach, Thee Oh Sees are one of the most invigorating garage punk bands of their era. Led by guitarist/vocalist John Dwyer, whose guitar sound and brutally powerful way of playing are instantly identifiable, the group went through a series of changes that led them from clanging lo-fi garage experimentalism on albums like their 2007 debut, Sucks Blood, to weirdo psych-pop on 2011's Castlemania and almost slick garage punk on 2014's Drop. After that album, Dwyer expanded the band's sonic reach to include proto-metal, dark psych, and trippy prog.

Sugar

Sugar

23 May 2026 - 4 Jun 2026

Having already placed his indelible mark on the future direction of rock with Hüsker Dü, Bob Mould teamed with bassist David Barbe and drummer Malcolm Travis to found Sugar in late 1991, making their live debut early the next year at Athens, GA’s famed 40 Watt Club. Named by NME as its 1992 “Album of the Year,” Sugar’s now-classic debut album, Copper Blue, immediately proved a sensation, earning worldwide acclaim and landmark status for the melodic strength and intensely cathartic popcraft of songs like “A Good Idea,” “Helpless,” and the alternative rock radio hit and MTV favorite, “If I Can’t Change Your Mind.” The trio quickly found themselves performing on increasingly larger stages, including a legendary show-stealing set at London’s Great X-pectations Festival in Finsbury Park. With the wind at their back, Sugar unleashed Beaster in 1993, making a momentous debut at #3 on the UK’s Official Albums Chart as well as at #4 on Billboard’s “Heatseekers” chart in the US. Though recorded during the same sessions that yielded Copper Blue, the six-song mini-album evinced a more visceral energy and dark melancholy than its predecessor, highlighted by such pulverizing expressions of sacrilegious fury as “Judas Cradle” and “JC Auto.” 1994’s second full-length LP, File Under: Easy Listening once again made an explosive arrival among the top 10 on the UK Official Albums Chart, this time landing in the upper reaches of the overall Billboard 200. The album saw Sugar pushing boundaries yet again on songs like the country-flavored “Believe What You’re Saying” and the incendiary “Gee Angel,” tackling a wider range of musical approaches without sacrificing their signature intensity and unrestrained power. Despite their successes, Sugar called it a day following a Japanese tour in early 1995. A series of live recordings, reissues, and anthologies served to magnify the band’s legacy over the three decades since, confirming Sugar as incontrovertible masters of high-volume guitar-fueled rock for the ages. The original members of Sugar reconvened in June 2025. The first new song in over three decades, “House Of Dead Memories”, was released on October 15, 2025, with live shows to follow in 2026.

Sex Pistols Exposé/ Lizzie & The Banshees/ Clashed/ Damned Ruts
On this 50th Anniversary weekend after Punk Rock made a mark on London at the festival that brought together the best of the new upcoming Punk bands, we celebrate with tributes to four of those groups, Sex Pistols, The Clash, the Damned and future icons to cross multiple genres, Siouxsie And The Banshees who were performing their very first live Show. Kicking off with DJ Mutant Movement at 5pm, you'll hear 3 hours of Punk classics before, between and after the bands until 1am. The line up that follows have racked up over 20 gigs for Mutant Movement between them, you can be sure this event has the right bands for the night. Sex Pistols Exposé ex Sex Pistols Experience https://www.facebook.com/sexpistolsexpose/ Undoubtedly the Best Pistols show by far, no need to go see any other tribute as these sold out Brudenell last year so you know we're on our way to selling out before getting into the others! They performed 25 songs for the Leeds crowd and we'll do our best to persuade them to do the same, maybe even a sneaky PiL cover! Lizzie and the Banshees https://www.facebook.com/LizzieAndTheBanshees Their fourth appearance for Mutant Movement, they are certainly the fans' choice after squeezing them in like sardines at their last Leeds show. Covering every era of the Banshees but going deep into the Punk years, this is going to be one set not to miss! The Clashed https://www.facebook.com/TheClashed/ With their own Strummer and Jones, these guys are the only tribute band that matters when it comes to The Clash, vocal styles so close to both original singers and musicians that recreate every song with such accuracy. This will be the band's 6th gig for Mutant Movement, the first being 8 years ago way back in 2018 when they blew the crowd away at The Wardrobe. Those... Damned Ruts! https://www.facebook.com/ThoseDamnedRuts On this, their debut gig for Mutant Movement, they open the show covering the back catalogue of both The Damned and The Ruts, concentrating on the first two albums for each band. They're on stage at 5:30pm so don't be late. We aim to open doors at 5pm but if crowds are gathering around 4:30pm, if everything is all set, we will start to filter the crowd in so we can have it almost full by the time the first band come on! Limited Early Bird tickets at the Irish Centre only £17.50, NO FEES or tickets online via Skiddle at £22.50 +bf and if the event is not Sold Out by the day, door price will be £30 but don't hold your breath, this is sure to be packed to the rafters.

Bill Callahan

Bill Callahan

30 Sept 2026 - 6 Oct 2026

Building on the lo-fi, sparse aesthetic of his early work as Smog toward the lush instrumentation and masterly command of structure (and beautiful production) evidenced on his latest records, Bill Callahan has released consistently excellent albums for two decades. He can safely be spoken of as one of America’s great songwriters. His songs have been covered by Gil Scott Heron, Cat Power and the Flaming Lips, and featured in films such as 'High Fidelity'. Emotive and beautifully arranged, 2009’s “Sometimes I wish we were an Eagle” is a great gateway to Bill. It’s fair to say that the snare sound here is exquisite! Before starting to release music under his own name in 2007, Bill Callahan recorded as Smog. Sample lyric: “My foolish heart had to go diving… diving, diving into the murk”…
Ultimate GREEN DAY / Ultimate BLINK-182: Leeds Irish Centre

Taking the project in its own refined, melancholy direction, he and his bandmates presented Nation of Language's full-length debut, Introduction, Presence, in 2020. The project peppered in earlier Krautrock and experimental electronic influences a year later on A Way Forward.
