Future Transmissions Presents Heathen Apostles/Tom Webber
The Heathen Apostles are a gothic Americana band formed in 2013 by Chopper Franklin and Mather Louth. They have a mix of western music, post-punk, and gothic rock elements. The band has been active in the music scene and has released several albums, including "Boot Hill Hymnal" (2013), "Fire to the Fuse" (2015), "Requiem For a Remix" (2016), "Bloodgrass Vol. 1 & 2" (2018), "Dust To Dust" (2019), "Bloodgrass Vol. 3 & 4" (2022), and "The In Between" (2024). They have also been involved in charity work, such as supporting victims of the California wildfires with proceeds from their benefit song "Paradise Lost" in 2019. The band continues to tour and release new music, showcasing their unique blend of Gothic Americana and dark roots music. Tom Webber's journey in music began with his grandfather as a mentor, and he has since become a prominent figure in the music scene. His debut EP "Stop and Think About It" showcases his unique voice and production style, earning him recognition from BBC Introducing. Tom's performances at major festivals like Glastonbury and Isle of Wight have solidified his status as a talented musician. In 2024, he released the singles "This Time" and "Keep Calling," and continued to tour with notable artists like Tom Meighan. His upcoming documentary project "The Unexpected Return of Mr Meek" will feature unreleased backing tracks from the 60s. Tom's music blends classic and contemporary influences, and he continues to evolve as an artist, producing fresh tracks and engaging with his audience through live performances and creative projects

Join this 5 improv troupe as they perform 'Whose Line Is It Anyway' style comedy, including improvised songs, sketches, Shakespeares, musicals, raps and more! We encourage mask-wearing to ensure live comedy can keep happening every week. Thank you for being considerate. Online sales will close at 6pm on the night - but don't fret! Scott Lavene New Album: Releasing the album Cars, Buses, Bedsits and Shops (out August 22, 2026), which has been described as a "polished" shift towards a 70s American singer-songwriter sound, influenced by artists like Neil Young and Wings. Touring: Currently on a UK tour supporting the new music, with dates in May 2026. Studio Work: Recording new material at his "Milk City Studios" with producer Ben J. Woods. Other Work: Produces a regular newsletter called "Bits & Bobs" featuring short stories and is working on his first novel. Musical Style and Background Sound: Described as "Kerouac meets Ian Dury" or "if Wilco and Bruce Springsteen's baby was raised in Basildon". Themes: His lyrics are often highly autobiographical, focusing on life in Essex, character studies of "ne'er-do-wells," and his own struggles with mental health. Previous Albums: Released Broke (2019) and Disneyland in Dagenham (2024), the latter of which received significant acclaim for its "East End poetry" and post-punk edge. Resilience: After a period of seven years away from music during which he struggled with mental health, Lavene rebuilt his life by working with addicts and alcoholics before returning to music with a more honest, "straight-from-the-soul" approach
