They went on to record six studio albums, including the Mercury-Prize nominated album, Sky At Night. Since 2016, Bramwell has reverted to being a solo artist and tours continuously, around the UK and Europe. The Bar-Steward Sons of Val Doonican

26 Sept 2025 - 30 Jan 2026

Founded in Barnsley Rock City in 2006,The Bar-Steward Sons of Val Doonican are on a mission! Far from being your typical folk ensemble, this cult-like collective of like-minded knit-wear enthusiasts are determined to follow in their spiritual fathers immortal footsteps and keep his legacy alive. Scott Doonican and his brothers-from-other-mothers, Dave Doonican, Dr. Mo-Jo Doonican and Reight Reverend Jeremiah Rickenbacker Doonican III, have quite the talent for Bar-Stewardizing other famous peoples songs with new satirical comedy lyrics, on folk instruments, and to complete their outrageously understated image, the Doonicans have become instantly recognisable for their immaculate hair and their stylish choice of sexy knitwear, and instantly memorable for their lairy, no-holds-barred, anarchic live shows. A group that is both perpetually on the move, ever-evolving and joyously independent, they have played close to 1350 side- splitting shows to date, and have brought smiles and belly- laughs to audiences across the UK; from Barnsley to Barnstaple, from Glastonbury to Glasgow. They continue to wow audiences with a fine selection of their greatest hits, including the likes of Jump Ararnd, The Lady In Greggs, "How Deep Is Your Glove?", "Paint 'em Back", "Goat Yoga", and If I Could Punch A Face... Itd Be Justin Biebers. After countless sellouts at the Lantern over the last 17 years, The Bar-Steward Sons of Val Doonican cant wait to bring their circus back to Scott Doonican's self-proclaimed "favourite venue on the planet" and they promise that they WILL rock you... but gently!
Kerry Worton

Kerry Worton

13 Sept 2025 - 13 Sept 2025

BIOGRAPHY: Kerry Worton is a singer, songwriter and guitarist, who is no stranger to stage or studio. She has worked as a ses- sion musician and has recorded backing vocals for various artists and bands, most recently Spoon Speaker Man ( members of Indie giantsNeds Atomic Dustbin and Power Of Dreams). Kerry is now taking centre stage and is performing her original songs as a solo acoustic performer or with her band ( Cajon, electric guitar, electro acoustic guitar and bass). Kerry Worton recently supported The Smyths and Sham69 to name a few. She went viral after performing Break Up Song live on the online channel Narrowboat Sessions in September 2024 which received a staggering 250,000 plays in six weeks. It was this that catapulted Kerry, a multi instrumentalist, to record her EP. She describes her music as Black Country acoustic alternative rock which echos the sounds of bands that wail and hail from her birth place in the West Midlands. Recently Kerry Worton showcased her songs in New York, USA and Germany and performed live with her band on UK radio. Compared to the likes of Janis Joplin and Sinead O Connor, her voice can be haunting and inviting, then in a split second it grabs you unexpect- edly with emotional rawness and power. Equally her acoustic guitar playing draws you in with the energetic prowess of punk/ rock with the hypnotic undertones of the blues. Her single Mother U was released in December 2024 which was dedicated to fostering families, a subject matter that rarely, if ever gets mentioned in songs. The video to Mother U equally delivered the raw, emotional side to the song and was featured in RtE EntertainmentBehind The Music, GOD IS IN THE TV ZINE and Louder THAN War along with it being played on UK, Ireland and US radio. Kerry Worton released Break Up Song ironically on Valentine's Day this year, which she warned us wasnt your typical crying into your pillow bull%$& break up song ! Again this single was played on UK and international radio. Coincidently the music video, which was produced by Kerry, received rave reviews with its cheeky, apathetic approach to falling out of love. The eagerly, anticipated EP will be released in Spring 2025 with her debut album towards the end of the year. An incredible mu- sician who just loves performing and is versatile in her approach, whether it's performing her original songs as a soloist or with a band the energy and power remains the same. Kerry is a maverick and I cant wait to see where this trail blazer heads creatively next... I am continually amazed at her drive, determination and massive talent - Craig Walker ( Power Of Dreams, Spoon Speaker Man, Archive). Fierce, hook laden melodies dance over funky buoyant staccato riffs... from tenderness to strength, from lush reflective harmonies to soul'spanning

Merrymouth featured award-winning musicians, including John McCusker and Andy Cutting and guest appearances from Chas Hodges (Chas and Dave). Dan also re-formed the legendary Music Hall double act, Cosmotheka, with his father, Dave, a leading voice in the 80s and 90s folk scene. Cosmotheka toured the world with Chas and Dave, had their own Radio Two programmes and made multiple TV appearances. Dan and Dave (one half of the original duo) decided to take the band back out on the road and had great fun headlining Folk Festivals in Bromyard, Whitby, Towersey, Sidmouth, Broadstairs and Upton, to name but a few. Dan took his show on the road, featuring music from the bands he has played in, complemented by hilarious stories he amassed along the way while working on his first solo album.
