This explosively funny satire is led by a world-renowned creative team including Emmy Award-winner Armando Iannucci (The Thick of It, Veep) and Olivier Award-winner Sean Foley (The Upstart Crow, The Play What I Wrote).

Waves of Wonder Presents: Portico Quartet Live at Kings Court Theatre
Waves of Wonder is proud to present internationally acclaimed headliners Portico Quartet live in concert on September 13th at Kings Court Theatre, Isle of Man. This show is expected to be Portico Quartet's only live performance within the British Isles in 2025. Supporting Portico Quartet will be the Manx improvised electronic music act Kitterland and IOM based soundscapetress Soundology. The event will take place in the beautiful and historic setting of King William's College, Castletown. Portico Quartet Let Portico Quartet take you on a journey through their unique musical world. Portico Quartet have defied categorisation over the course of six studio albums. From their 2007 Mercury Music Prize nominated breakthrough Knee-Deep in the North Sea through to the longform minimalist inspired Terrain in 2021. For this rare and intimate concert, the band will perform music from their rich back catalogue as well as a few tasters from their upcoming release (currently in the making). Portico Quartet are Duncan Bellamy on drums, Milo Fitzpatrick on bass, Jack Wyllie on saxophones and Taz Modi on hang drums and keyboards. Kitterland Kitterland is a musical project between Tibor Miklos and Joff Whitten, working with filmmaker Anthony Dalton. Together, they create live, improvised cinematic music using analogue synths, looping pedals, guitars, and voice. Their first film, 2121, has been screened a number of times across the island and beyond, and features a live set recorded in the Sound Caf, set to views of the island from sunrise to sunset. At our event, Kitterland will perform a live re-version of their film. The music will be improvised on the night and will respond to the incredible cinematic visuals of the island created by Anthony. Soundology Amy Howse is a sound artist with intricate knowledge of the transformative power of sound. Using gongs, crystal bowls, and other resonant instruments, she creates immersive sonic experiences that transcend traditional sound bath practices. Her work explores sound not just as therapy, but as a form of sonic art, guiding audiences into realms that are both deeply intriguing and gently magical. This event is kindly supported by Isle of Man Arts Council.

But as Luka approaches step five – the moment of confession – dangerous truths emerge, threatening the trust on which both of their recoveries depend. Finn den Hertog directs the provocative and entertaining production filmed live from @sohoplace on London’s West End.

Filmed live from the West End, this new production reunites Staunton with director Dominic Cooke exploring the clash between morality and independence, traditions and progress.
