The Blues came calling first, but rock was always waiting around the corner. Well it would be, wouldn’t it? Coming from the deep south, it was inevitable, but living in the deep south of a major Yorkshire City, there’s a gritty hard edge to life! A female guitar prodigy, Chantel was told by a major label that she had a "great voice, but girls don't play guitar like that!" Wisely ignoring their comments, she enrolled at the Leeds College of Music and became the first student in the college’s history, to achieve a 100% pass mark at BTEC, with 18 distinctions. Chantel then pursued further education and left with a First Class Honours degree in Popular Music and a coveted prize, the college’s musician of the year award. Chantel released her highly anticipated second album, Lose Control, in October 2015 on her independent boutique label Tis Rock Music, this being the follow up to her critically acclaimed 2011 debut album, Like No Other.

Bad Manners

Bad Manners

22 May 2025 - 30 Jan 2026

Fronted by Buster Bloodvessel (born Douglas Trendle), the band was formed in 1976 while the members were at school together, and among their early incarnations were known as Stoop Solo and the Sheet Starchers. None of the members had any formal musical training, not even the ability to play any instruments. They were popular during the late 1970s and early 1980s, a period when lots of similar ska bands filled the charts. Some of their hits include 'My Girl Lollipop', 'Lip Up Fatty', 'Special Brew' and 'Ne-Ne-Na-Na-Na-Na-Nu-Nu'. One of the main reasons for their notoriety was because of their outlandish, larger-than-life, huge-tongued & shaven-headed front man. Buster´s exploits got them banned from the British TV chart show Top of the Pops (which included dressing as Henry VIII and singing to a blow-up doll for the song 'Lorraine', pouring a large can of baked beans over his head, and dressing in a can-can dancer´s dress to promote their single 'Can-Can').

From their classic debut album ‘Earth Vs’ (voted number one album of the year in Kerrang! back in 1993, and number 20 in the best rock albums of all time in a Kerrang! Special in 2006), through to now with the release of ‘Renaissance Men’, their first full-length studio album in 10 years, their creative output and legendary live shows have been second to none. Although the 90’s saw the band covered like a living soap opera in the press with tales of sex, drugs, bust ups, fights (both with labels and themselves), splits, more drugs and a lot more controversy (one such incident including entering and then proceeding to trash the Kerrang! Offices!), the recent years have seen the band more focused than ever before and firing on all cylinders. The Wildhearts and their incendiary shows have cemented their reputation and legacy as one of the best bands the UK has ever produced. Welcoming back their long-time bandmate and brother Danny McCormack on bass; Ginger and CJ on guitars and vocals, with Ritch Battersby on drums released their new album ‘Renaissance Men’ on May 3rd to critical acclaim. “It’s The Wildhearts remembering what they do best” - 9 out 10, hailed Classic Rock, with Metal Hammer saying Renaissance Men is “the best thing they’ve made since their genius / batshit crazy debut, Earth Vs The Wildhearts, back in 1993. Actually, thats not true. It might be better.” While Kerrang! gave the album 4Ks, Planet Rock 5 stars and Vive Le Rock 10 out 10!

Massive Wagons

Massive Wagons

15 May 2025 - 17 May 2025

Hard rockers Massive Wagons formed in 2009 in their hometown of Carnforth, England with vocalist Barry Mills and guitarist Adam Thistlethwaite who were at the time on the local live circuit as part of indie rock band Ace Face (though with Mills on bass guitar). The duo decided to strike out with their own music of a harder hitting variety, with the stage show to match. The decision was influenced by the resurging popularity of hard rock acts of the time, primarily Airbourne and Black Stone Cherry and the duos lifelong affinity for classic rock acts such as UFO, Rainbow and Slade. Adams brother Alex was recruited on drums and old school buddy Adam Bouskill joined on bass, freeing Mills to focus on the role of frontman, the line-up was completed by Carl Cochrane on rhythm guitar. For a while the 5 piece was nameless until they jokingly adopted the nickname of a local barmaid for their first gig, only for the name to stick and become their official moniker.

Y&T

Y&T

6 May 2025 - 25 Oct 2025

Before Mötley Crüe, before RATT, even before there was a Metallica, Y&T was slogging away in sweaty rock clubs around America. When the band formed in the early 1970s, little did they know they would set the standard for hard rock bands that trailed. Many of the biggest acts of the '80s became popular opening for headliners Y&Tand cut their teeth on the band, as evidenced by the Y&T mentions in tell-all books by acts such as Metallica and Mötley Crüe. Born in Oakland, California, Y&T is one of the San Francisco Bay Area's own innovators of the hard rock sound. Whether performing to a festival crowd of fifty-thousand or in an intimate nightclub, Y&T's high- energy set and passionate performances still captivate legions of fans around the globe, proving Y&T's music timeless. Originally formed as Yesterday and Today, the initial powerhouse quartetfeaturing Dave Meniketti (lead guitar/lead vocals), Phil Kennemore (bass), Leonard Haze (drums), and Joey Alves (rhythm guitar) tore through the '70s and '80s with their own brand of hard rock. After two '70s albums on London Records, they shortened their name to Y&T and released eight albums on A&M in the '80s. Two more albums with Geffen Records marked an era of change with Jimmy DeGrasso (Alice Cooper, Suicidal Tendencies, Megadeth) on drums and Stef Burns (Alice Cooper, Berlin, Huey Lewis) on guitar. With a discography of 18 albums, four greatest hits collections, plus a box set, Y&T have sold over four million albums since their 1974 inception. Y&T songs have been featured in a multitude of movies and television shows, including Real Genius, Out of Bounds, Baywatch, and Hunter. After five top 100 albums, songs that tipped into the 40s, two Bammie Awards, and many international television appearances, Y&T's hits are still played on VH1 Classic and Classic Rock radio stations worldwide. With Kennemore's untimely passing from lung cancer, the band carries on the legacy that is Y&T. Y&T continues to tour the world, featuring the dynamic original frontman Dave Meniketti (guitar/lead vocals), John Nymann (guitar/vocals), Brad Lang (bass/vocals), and Mike Vanderhule (drums/vocals), playing songs that span the band's five-decade career and including all the hits and fan favorites. Cardinal Black

Cardinal Black

25 May 2025 - 1 Nov 2025

They say that good things come to those who wait. A little over two years after their launch, you could say that Cardinal Black are testament to the power of patience, thought and persistence. A debut iTunes #1 single and E.P.; a first gig to a hometown capacity crowd at Cardiff Castle; back-to-back sold out Academy tours with Myles Kennedy, then The Struts; a standing ovation at a Sold Out Royal Albert Hall supporting Peter Frampton; a live set recording in the Beatles’ legendary Studio Two at Abbey Road in London and a debut album that, within 24 hours of its release, had toppled both Taylor Swift and the Beatles from the top of Amazon UK’s album chart. An eventful first 2 years for any band. It takes years, so the saying goes, to become an overnight success... Rewind to 2010 and the Welsh-born trio of Tom Hollister, Chris Buck and Adam Roberts were riding a wave of hype, hotly-tipped by some of the biggest names in rock - most notably Steve Winwood who invited the band to record at his storied Wincraft Studios. A triumphant live set at Sonisphere was followed by a flight across the Atlantic to begin work on their first record, with veteran manager Alan Niven (Guns N’ Roses) at the helm. The lure of the U.S. proved irresistible to the nascent trio but, as is often the case, expectation rarely mirrors reality and the band struggled to adapt to the new country, culminating in singer Tom Hollister unexpectedly calling time on the band before returning to the U.K. “We tried to do the acrimonious split; creative differences and all that. We then quickly realised we were fairly reliant on one another,” says Buck. In the decade that followed, the lifelong friends cut their own individual paths whilst remaining close. Most notable has been the well-earned rise of guitarist Chris Buck, named in 2019 as ‘Best New Guitarist in the World’, who has forged a reputation as one of the most inventive and recognisable guitar players in music; winning plaudits from peers and the industry’s most iconic players alike. Drummer Adam Roberts found work as a first-call session player, whilst vocalist Tom Hollister moved into tour management - the three maintaining their musical connection by sporadically meeting up to perform together. It was just a matter of time then, before they were ready to make new music again. The writing and recording of new material began in 2020, under the name Cardinal Black, bolstered by the arrival of bassist Sam Williams. Fast forward to 2023 and the band embarked on an extensive European headline tour, culminating in an Americana Music Awards (UK) nomination for Artist of the Year. They may have taken the scenic route but Cardinal Black are finally here, and they've got plenty of stories to tell...

Snot

9 Aug 2025 - 14 Aug 2025

Snot is an American punk band from Santa Barbara, California, originally formed in 1995. Known for blending punk rock, hardcore, and funk influences, featured Lynn Strait as the charismatic lead vocalist, along with the lead guitarist Mikey Doling, bassist John Fahnestock, drummer Jamie Miller, and later, Sonny Mayo on guitar. The first full-length album, Get Some, released in 1997, became iconic for its aggressive sound and Strait's raw, confrontational lyrics. The album received praise for its energy and distinctive fusion of punk and metal elements, positioning Snot as part of the emerging nu-metal scene, alongside bands like Korn and Limp Bizkit, with whom they often shared the stage. Unfortunately, the band's career was cut short in 1998 when Lynn Strait tragically died in a car accident, along with his dog, Dobbs, who was featured on the cover of Get Some. Following Strait's death, the band dissolved, but Snot's impact continued, and Snot developed a devoted cult following. In 2000, Mikey Doling produced Strait Up, a tribute album that featured guest vocalists from various bands performing unreleased Snot tracks as a tribute to Strait's memory. Over the years, SNOT's music has maintained its influence within the punk and metal communities as the legendary punk band.

Hardline is an American rock band that was formed in 1992. Known for their blend of hard rock and melodic metal, they initially gained attention with their debut album Double Eclipse in 1992. The band's original lineup featured powerhouse vocalist Johnny Gioeli, guitarist Neal Schon (from Journey), and drummer Deen Castronovo (also from Journey). This star-studded formation contributed to the band’s early success and gave their music a polished, commercial sound. Double Eclipse featured several hits, including the popular songs "Hot Cherie" and "Takin' Me Down," which helped to establish Hardline's reputation as a band capable of delivering catchy, yet hard-hitting rock anthems. The album's mix of melodic hooks and powerful vocals created a distinctive sound that resonated with fans of both arena rock and melodic metal. However, after the initial success of Double Eclipse, the band faced lineup changes and periods of inactivity. Despite this, Johnny Gioeli remained at the forefront of Hardline, and the band continued to release albums, including II (2002), Leaving the End Open (2009), Danger Zone (2012), Life (2016) and Heart Mind and Soul (2021). These albums showed the band's evolution while retaining their signature style of melodic, hard-hitting rock, and Gioeli’s unmistakable voice. This is a 14+ event. 14 and 15 year olds MUST be accompanied by an adult (18+) / All ticketholders under the age of 25 will be required to carry PHOTO ID.

Orange Goblin

Orange Goblin

10 Dec 2025 - 17 Dec 2025

This is the sound of a band that have been together for over 20 years. It's the sound of a band that don't give a fuck about modern day trends and what the 'cool' kids are listening to. It's the sound of Orange Goblin digging really deep into our well of inspiration. In a world gone mad, there are few certainties to cling to. But one thing remains forever unwavering and true: Orange fucking Goblin. Diehard exponents of the noble art of heavy metal since 1995, the London-based quartet have spent the last two decades steadily but surely establishing themselves as one of the UK's most loved and respected bands. Emerging from the stoner rock explosion of the mid '90s, the band led the way for that scene on British shores, kicking off with classic debut album Frequencies From Planet Ten in 1997 and continuing with a steady stream of critically acclaimed albums that boldly and gleefully blurred the lines between stoner, doom, black, crust and southern rock, while always fervently saluting the old school heavy metal flag and the sacred Sabbathian code. Widely admired as one of the most ludicrously thunderous and entertaining live bands on the planet, Orange Goblin have paid their dues and earned the right to be regarded as a heavy metal institution. The band's last two albums, A Eulogy For The Damned (2012) and Back From The Abyss (2014) have further cemented their reputation and taken their popularity to new heights, aided by high profile festival slots all over the world. Since the release of Back From The Abyss, the band's feet have barely touched the ground: a full European tour with doom legends Saint Vitus, a full US trek with Down, headline shows across Europe and triumphant appearances at Download, Bloodstock, Ozzfest, Wacken Open Air and many more. Nominated for 'Best British Band' at last year's Metal Hammer Golden Gods ceremony, at which they also performed, Orange Goblin have never been more in demand. As a result, the arrival of their ninth studio album, The Wolf Bites Back, is a very big deal. After a four-year wait, fans are about to feel the full power of a band at the peak of their powers and with the wind in their sails. Sometimes you just have to make a statement and I believe that this album is that statement, avows frontman Ben Ward. We just wanted a title that represents the feelings we tried to get across with the material on the album and it seemed to fit perfectly. It's vicious, it's dangerous, it's wild and it's unashamedly heavy metal and hard rocking! A lot of bands seem to be ashamed to say that these days, there are too many hipsters and posers that are afraid of the heavy metal tag yet like to revel in the imagery. Fuck that, people should be proud to be heavy metal! If you have blood in your veins, it will be impossible to avoid a sudden rush of heavy metal pride when album opener Sons Of Salem rips into gear: a turbocharged upgrade for the Orange Goblin formula, it ushers in an album full of diversity and daring but one that is powered by metal, pure and simple. From the insistent, fire-breathing groove of the title track and Renegade's balls-out rampage to the psychedelic fog of Ghosts Of The Primitives and Suicide Division's two minutes of snot-spraying Bathory-ized hardcore, The Wolf Bites Back will scratch every conceivable heavy metal itch while simultaneously making most sensible people want to run through a brick wall. Recorded at Orgone Studios in rural Bedfordshire with esteemed underground guru Jaime 'Gomez' Arellano at the controls, the new opus comes adorned with a raw but crystalline sound that has maximised Orange Goblin's extraordinary eight-legged chemistry. Gomez has a very new, custom built studio in a really remote part of the English countryside so there are zero distractions and we were totally focused on the job at hand, says Ben. We gave ourselves plenty of time so the vibe was relaxed and almost experimental. We were trying out new sounds and working with equipment and instruments that we may not have considered in the past. Gomez was like a fifth member of the band, constantly making useful suggestions. I think that the band's playing and songwriting on this album are the best they've ever been. It's a huge wall of sound and Gomez has recorded and mixed it perfectly. Its rampaging musical contents aside, The Wolf Bites Back is also an album of pitch-black horrors and warped nightmares, as Ben Ward channels his fury and fire through twisted tales of ghouls, witches, warriors and sinister ne'er-do-wells. At the heart of the album, however, lies a sincere and heartfelt frustration at the state of the world and humanity's resistance to getting our collective shit together. I think this is the most honest album I have written, admits Ben. There are still fantasy themes but a lot of that fantasy is derived from real life frustration and anger. There are strong themes of rebellion, fighting back, revenge and making yourself a better person. There are underlying themes that the whole world and humanity in general is fucked! This time I was reading a lot of science-fiction, stuff like Philip K. Dick and other writers with a bleak, nihilistic view of what the future holds. Whether it's because of politics, science, religion or just the simple fact that the majority of human beings are stupid and ignorant, we are all doomed and the world is a fucked up place! As the world burns, Orange Goblin continue to give us fresh reasons to live. The Wolf Bites Back is a flat-out triumph for a band that refuse to deviate from their stated mission of bring joyous, blood 'n' thunder metal to the masses. With fistfuls of killer new songs and momentum propelling them onward and upward, the future is looking bright and busier than ever. We have Stone Free Festival, Hellfest, Alcatraz, Summer Breeze, Impetus, Rock Im Wald and a lot more scheduled for the summer, Ben states. Then we are looking to tour the UK in late October, early November, to promote the album here properly. We're looking forward to people finally being able to hear this new material. It's been a long four years since the last album but we definitely feel that this one has been worth the wait!
