La Belle Angèle

La Belle Angèle is one of Edinburgh's best-loved live music and club venues. Renowned for pulling in big names, such as Oasis and Radiohead over the years, in 2002, a fire started by a faulty fuse box burnt the venue to the ground. However, 12 years after the fire, in 2014, the restoration began, and the venue is now fully functioning again. Located on the Cowgate, La Belle Angèle is well served by a number of Lothian buses passing by South Bridge. The venue is about 10-15 minutes from Waverley Train Station by foot.

Goldie Lookin' Chain

Goldie Lookin' Chain

3 Sept 2026 - 27 Mar 2027

Coming straight out of Newport The GLC are officially Britain’s biggest rap group. Known for classics like “Guns don’t kill people rappers do”, The GLC started almost by accident around the turn of the century with Eggsy’s impromptu rap about his tracksuit over a serious piece of music Rhys was working on in the studio. Adam Hussain, Billy Webb, Mystkal, the Maggot, 2hats and Mike Balls convinced Rhys to record the rap. Fuelled by Lambrini, fags, Chicken Tikka Massala and weed they all took to the mic and The GLC’s first album “Don’t Blame the Chain” was born. And so it began, the journey which has so far seen The GLC rise to the top of the charts, perform around the world and at every major festival in the Western Hemisphere and make millions of people laugh along the way. Now many years since that first rap about Eggsy’s tracksuit, the boys are still keeping it real in the rap game and hold the title of the most successful UK rap act ever. To date The GLC have released 18 albums… and amazingly none of them have died yet. You knows it! GLC (Live) plus special guests

With the band's final album in the works, The Dickies have somehow managed to be one of the longest-running punk bands in the world. Despite being 86 years old, as original singer Leonard Graves Phillips joked in a recent show, the band rocks it hard and hilarious, bringing the infectious high energy their shows are known for. Remarkably, they sound better and tighter than ever.

He met Pete in 1996 and the pair began writing original material together and at the same time launched Erasured, with which they toured the circuit for over ten years. The magic eventually waned, but the pair stayed the closest of friends. Then in 2018 Mark and Pete were invited to recreate the recent arena gigs Robbie Williams had done with Erasure. They agreed to do the gig as a ‘one off’ for nostalgia’s sake. The show was a huge success and they again found their passion for Erasure music, and started touring again, with new technology and new outfits!

The Cockney Rejects

The Cockney Rejects

2 Oct 2026 - 28 Nov 2026

Cockney Rejects were formed in the late seventies in East London as an answer to the art school punk that had dominated the scene up until then. Fiercely working class in stance and attitude, the band shunned the political ramblings of punk’s first wave and sang about the circumstances that surrounded them. Spotted by Sham 69's Jimmy Pursey and signed by EMI after playing four local gigs they found themselves playing sell out tours the length and breadth of the UK and seeing their debut album storm the charts. After a short break, the band returned to the live circuit in 2000, playing to hundreds of thousands of people across the globe with a live set that is so energetic that it has to be seen to be believed. With the fractionalization of the late ‘70’s and early ‘80’s now gone for good, with every gig becoming a party for fans and band alike, the Cockney Rejects go from strength to strength.

Tom McGuire & The Brassholes are an eclectic, modern-soul-funk, 8 piece band from Glasgow, headed by keen skater, lumberjack-attired soul bearer, Tom McGuire. The funky collective of “killer animals from hell”, consists of a colourful, hilarious bunch of wonderfully talented, animated young men. The band deliver great variety and include everything from a humble Polish saxophonist, a reserved introvert piano pounder, someone who claims to be the self confessed “sex appeal of the band” and two English horn blowing northerners amongst others! The band earned their stripes on Sauchiehall and Buchanan Street as buskers during Glasgow’s 2014 Commonwealth Games, and have slowly been working their way up the staircase of success, becoming one of Scotland’s most vibrant live acts.
Kenny Thomas

Kenny Thomas

28 Aug 2026 - 29 Aug 2026

Kenny Thomas was one of the most popular UK soul dance vocalists of the early 1990s. His biggest UK hit came in 1991 with ‘Thinking About Your Love’ (number 4), while his debut album sold more than 600, 000 copies in the UK alone. Other hit singles spawned by that debut included ‘Outstanding’, ‘The Best Of You’ and ‘Tender Love’, and also resulted in a Brit Award nomination for Best British Male Vocalist and Best British Newcomer. The warm, relaxed dance grooves of that debut were replicated on a second album that continued Thomas’ massive commercial success. Guest musicians this time round included the Young Disciples, Nu Colours and the Reggae Philharmonic Orchestra. This time some of the bonhomie of the original set was more restrained, with a slightly more mature lyrical vision reflecting more real-life experiences.

RuMac

30 Jul 2026 - 14 Aug 2026

Ruairidh Maclean A.K.A RuMac is a Scottish accordion player who started off playing traditional Scottish music and slowly drifted into a strange mix of genres. From traditional Gaelic Songs to Heavy metal rock there’s no telling what racket will come out of his mouth and box, but slowly the world is becoming aware of his anarchic unique performances and they can’t get enough of it. A weird but fun performer that is always best experienced live... From ranting about Gaelic choirs to grim versions of worldwide hits, RuMac’s debut album 'The Bloody Box' is a punishing cacophony for yer ears that’ll keep you on yer toes and reaching for the skip button. But if ya stick around and don't take shit too seriously, you might be part of the niche group of freaks like himself ready to tear shit up.
All Them Witches

All Them Witches

17 Jun 2026 - 21 Jun 2026

You’ll find All Them Witches on the outskirts. This collective of creative outliers have never followed a pre-trodden path or comfortably fit into an existing scene or style. Instead, the band resides at an elusive crossroads where clouds of slow-burning meditative distortion soak up strains of stratospheric psychedelia, out-of-body blues, and thundering no-frills hard rock. The quartet-Charles Michael Parks, JR. \[bass, vocals\], Ben McLeod \[guitar, vocals\], Allan Van Cleave \[piano, keys, violin\], and Christian Powers \[drums\]-astrally amplify arresting melodies across an ever-evolving landscape, balancing extremes of blunt heaviness and melodic weightlessness, mythos and magic, and dark and light. The group first materialized in Nashville, TN, in 2012. Beyond gracing the stages of festivals a la Bonnaroo, Pukkelpop, and more, they packed houses on headline tours and hit the road with the likes of Mastodon, Primus, and Ghost. Firing on all cylinders with their first new music in over half a decade, they harness the power of their unbreakable union as collaborators and friends on their seventh full-length LP and first offering for BMG, House of Mirrors. Presented by CHALK. This is an 14+ event

The Wildhearts

The Wildhearts

29 May 2026 - 10 Aug 2026

For 3 decades The Wildhearts have remained at the forefront of the British rock scene. From their classic debut album ‘Earth Vs’ (voted number one album of the year in Kerrang! back in 1993, and number 20 in the best rock albums of all time in a Kerrang! Special in 2006), through to now with the release of ‘Renaissance Men’, their first full-length studio album in 10 years, their creative output and legendary live shows have been second to none. Although the 90’s saw the band covered like a living soap opera in the press with tales of sex, drugs, bust ups, fights (both with labels and themselves), splits, more drugs and a lot more controversy (one such incident including entering and then proceeding to trash the Kerrang! Offices!), the recent years have seen the band more focused than ever before and firing on all cylinders. The Wildhearts and their incendiary shows have cemented their reputation and legacy as one of the best bands the UK has ever produced. Welcoming back their long-time bandmate and brother Danny McCormack on bass; Ginger and CJ on guitars and vocals, with Ritch Battersby on drums released their new album ‘Renaissance Men’ on May 3rd to critical acclaim.

This Is The Kit

This Is The Kit

4 Jul 2026 - 1 Sept 2026

This Is The Kit, the nom de plume of Kate Stables, has been in existence since the '00s, when Kate moved to Bristol and started playing and collaborating with local musicians. It was here where her debut album Krulle Bol took shape, recorded and produced by PJ Harvey's long-standing musical collaborator John Parish. Her second album, 2010's Wriggle Out The Restless was made in France alongside members of Francois and the Atlas Mountains before final touches from TITK's extended musical family were added in Bristol, Belgium and several points in between. The aim is to have fun playing with people whose work I really like, says Kate in her simple and direct fashion. The more you exchange and share with people the better things get and the more you learn. This is the Kit has opened for artists such as The National, Jose Gonzales, and Iron & Wine and was selected by Sharon Van Etten as her Favourite New Artist in an interview with Pitchfork. This is the Kits' 2015 album Bashed Out, was produced by The National's Aaron Dessner and released on his Brassland label. Bashed Out features performances from Aaron, his brother Bryce Dessner, Benjamin Lanz (Beirut), Thomas Bartlett (Doveman, The Gloaming) and Matt Barrick (The Walkmen) alongside her regular cast of collaborators. On its release, Bashed Out received critical acclaim, and was quickly seen as a breakthrough record. Packed out performances followed, including a headline show at the Scala, and the album was picked as Guy Garvey's Album of The Year for 2015 on BBC 6 Music. 2016 saw This is the Kit continue to tour relentlessly, including shows in Paris, a Scottish Highlands tour and an appearance at BBC 6music Festival in Bristol. Following on from a raft of shows and festival dates throughout the summer (including appearances at Festival Number 6, Bestival, Cambridge Folk Festival, WOMAD, Glastonbury and Guy Garvey's Meltdown) This Is the Kit played their biggest London show to date with a rapturously received sold out London Union Chapel in November, before commencing work on the follow up to Bashed Out. Having caught the eye of Rough Trade, This is the Kit signed up to the legendary label in early 2017.
Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs

Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs

31 Jul 2026 - 20 Sept 2026

“I learned long ago, never to wrestle with a pig” reasoned George Bernard Shaw. “You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it.” True to form, Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs have left the wiser of us aware that they are no band to be messed with. In the seven years since this band’s inception, the powerful primal charge at their heart has been amplified far beyond the realms of their original imagination. The band's upward trajectory has done nothing to make the Newcastle-based quintet complacent however, as they’ve used the cumulative force behind them as fuel for their most ambitious and hard-hitting record yet. ‘Viscerals’, their third proper (released April 3rd on Rocket Recordings) is an enormous leap forward in confidence, adventure and sheer intensity even from their 2018 breakthrough ‘King Of Cowards’. Incisive in its riff-driven attack, infectiously catchy in its songcraft and more adventurous than ever in its experimental approach, ‘Viscerals’ is the sound of a leaner, more vicious Pigs, and one with their controls set way beyond the pulverising one-riff workouts of their early days. The fearsome album opener ‘Reducer's battle cry "ego kills everything" brings a philosophical bent to its Sabbathian abjection, elsewhere live favourite and perverse banger ‘Crazy In Blood’ marries MBV-ish guitar curlicues in its verses to a raise-your-fists chorus worthy of Twisted Sister or Turbonegro. Yet Pigs have effortlessly broadened their horizons and dealt with all these new avenues without sacrificing one iota of their trademark eccentricity, and the personality of this band has never been stronger. This record is their most far-reaching yet and its ability to get down to the nitty-gritty of the human condition is implicit from its title outwards.

For an album made quietly in lockdown, Transparency is begging to be played loud and live. Bold, adventurous, and a load of fun. This is just the start of a new era for Twin Atlantic.

Discharge

Discharge

16 Oct 2026 - 19 Dec 2026

“Can you hear the sound of an enormous door slamming in the depths of hell…?”Not only is this the chilling description given of a nuclear detonation during one of the sound-bite samples on the first Discharge album, but it’s also a perfect description of the Stoke, UK-based punk band that turned the world of underground music on its head with their primal bursts of uncompromising speed and aggression. Formed in the late Seventies Discharge changed the face of punk – and indeed extreme music itself – with their stunning ‘Realities Of War’ EP, a four-song outpouring of pure intensity that boiled punk down to its basic components of rage, frustration and violent rebellion. Discharge stumbled upon a sound that was so ugly, it was beautiful; so horrifying, it was irresistible – and it ushered in a whole new wave of gnarlier, nastier UK punk, and ultimately paved the way for hardcore and thrash.

Flamin Groovies

15 Sept 2026 - 19 Sept 2026

Acid Box Promotions & Stay Sick team up to bring the legendary Flamin' Groovies! Flamin' Groovies The Flamin' Groovies story goes all the way back to 1965 when the band began as the Chosen Few in their hometown of San Francisco, California. After a name change and a self-released 10-inch album called Sneakers, which sold amazingly well, the band caught the attention of Columbia who sent them into the studio with a big budget to record their first real album, Supersnazz, on the Epic label. Their next two albums were on Kama Sutra (home of their heroes, The Lovin' Spoonful): Flamingo, and the revered classic Teenage Head. Lead singer Roy Loney left the band right after that and lead guitarist Cyril Jordan moved the group to England with Chris Wilson (formerly of Loose Gravel) taking over as front man. They continued their style of straight ahead guitar driven rock 'n' roll but this time with a more 60s rather than 50s influence. A few singles on United Artists, recorded at the legendary Rockfield Studios in Wales with Dave Edmunds producing, followed in the early 70s. In 1976 they signed to Sire Records, who released three true gems of power pop: Shake Some Action, Flamin' Groovies Now, and Jumpin' In The Night. Another lineup change ensued, with Wilson moving to England and joining the Barracudas. The Groovies continued on through the 80s and into the early 90s touring Australia and Europe, putting out a fine but overlooked album called Rock Juice and then finally calling it quits. Jordan formed a new band called Magic Christian. The band reunited in 2013, and toured and recorded for the past six years, they've played throughout the USA, including multiple tours of the East Coast, West Coast, and Midwest, a dozen shows in the San Francisco Bay Area, several highly successful tours of Europe, and repeated visits to Japan. In 2016, they celebrated their 50th anniversary, and in 2017, they released a new album of all original material, Fantastic Plastic, which ranks amongst their finest. + special guests

The Sheepdogs

The Sheepdogs

11 Nov 2026 - 16 Dec 2026

For a new album that The Sheepdogs didn't initially set out to make, Changing Colours is a stunning achievement. Proud purveyors of guitar-driven modern-day retro rock, the triple Juno Award-winning Saskatoon-based quintet has expanded its sound on Changing Colours to encompass more styles and hues to enhance the Sheepdogs' trademark beef-and-boogie twin-axe riffs, hooks, shuffles and long-haired aesthetic. 'We identify strongly with rock 'n roll, but there's definitely some branching out,' says Ewan Currie, The Sheepdogs' singer, guitarist, songwriter and occasional and yes, you're reading this correctly clarinetist. 'The sounds we use on this there's more keyboards featuring Shamus and more stringed instruments. It's still rock 'n roll but there are more colours.' It's also great, passionate music born out of spontaneity: first resonating in the 17-song album's euphoric opener Nobody and continuing to flavour such invigorating numbers as the electrifying Saturday Night and the driving I've Got A Hole Where My Heart Should Be, the record's infectious first single. But The Sheepdogs haven't only stretched their sonic palate: they've also expanded stylistically, tastefully embracing other genres as well. There's the country-lite feel of Let It Roll, the Stax-soul aura of the mid-tempo anthem I Ain't Cool that features trombone and the resplendent Latin-rock vibe that fuels The Big Nowhere. This is a 14+ show. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

CupcakKe

CupcakKe

29 May 2026 - 6 Jun 2026

Bold and outspoken Chicago rapper CupcakKe has achieved viral success and critical acclaim with her brazen, unapologetically explicit songs and videos that channeled the likes of Lil Kim, Foxy Brown, and Gangsta Boo. Her work explores sexuality in graphic detail, and while many of her songs are humorous and playful, she has more serious, introspective material that deals with sexual abuse ("Pedophile"), racial issues ("Picking Cotton"), and LGBTQ empowerment ("Crayons"). She debuted in 2016 with a pair of raunchy EPs and a full-length, Audacious, following with the critically acclaimed Queen Elizabitch (2017) and Ephorize (2018). Elizabeth Eden Harris was born in Chicago in 1997. At the age of 14, she began writing religious-themed poetry, performing in local churches. She started turning her poems into raps and uploading them to YouTube, receiving thousands of views. In late 2015, inspired by Khia's hit "My Neck, My Back," she decided to write sexually explicit material. The videos "Vagina" and "Deepthroat" appeared and quickly spread on the Internet like wildfire. Both songs appeared on her debut mixtape, Cum Cake, in February 2016. S.T.D (Shelters to Deltas), named for Harris' years spent in homeless shelters, followed in June, and the studio album Audacious arrived in October. The releases received praise from Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, MTV News, and numerous hip-hop websites. Harris guested on Charli XCX's song "Lipgloss," which appeared on her March 2017 mixtape, Number 1 Angel. CupcakKe's second studio album, Queen Elizabitch, appeared soon after, and the rapper toured North America twice during the year, in addition to releasing two subsequent singles, "Exit" and "Cartoons." Both songs appeared on her third studio album, Ephorize, which dropped near the beginning of 2018. The set peaked at number two on the Heatseekers chart, while landing in the Top 20 of the Billboard Independent Albums chart. Months later, she issued her fourth full-length, Eden, featuring the singles "Quiz" and "Blackjack." CupcakKe closed her decade with a flood of singles in 2019, including the size-obsessed viral hit, "Squidward Nose." The following year, she reached a career high with the single "Discounts," which topped streaming charts and rose into the Top Ten of the Billboard Digital Songs chart. ~ Paul Simpson, Rovi 432 Presents... The Rezillos

The Rezillos

9 Oct 2026 - 16 Jan 2027

The Rezillos burst forth upon the rock scene in 1976, having gathered together at Edinburgh College of Art. Through a shared love of Sixties Garage Rock and the Spectoresque Girl Group glam of The Ronettes and The Shangri-Las, The Rezillosfound themselves inadvertently caught up in the Punk or New Wave movement. Their debut single, I Can't Stand My Baby, shot them to underground fame initially via airings on John Peel's radio show. Their classic singles My Baby Does Good Sculptures, Top of the Pops and Destination Venus signalled critically acclaimed milestones for the band. Their landmark album of 1978 Can't Stand the Rezillos reached the top 10 in the UK album chart. They appeared twice on the legendary Old Grey Whistle Test and hit the Top Twenty with their hit single Top of the Pops, a satirical swipe at the UK pop music show of the same name. Once the band had achieved chart success it was inevitable that they should appear on the same show! They followed up that same year with a live recording, Mission Accomplished... But the Beat Goes On, and promptly broke up to the anguish of fans and music critics alike.
Antony Szmierek

Antony Szmierek

26 Aug 2026 - 23 Oct 2026

Sometimes you hear a track that makes you pause. It’s the lyricism, the atmosphere or the presence. In Antony Szmierek’s case, it’s all three: the fly-on-the-wall, street-lamp-lit aesthetic of his incredibly hopeful breakthrough “Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Fallacy” is smooth and clear. The club-ready roller coasted into view with absurdist everyday-isms, flashing-light feelings and late-night philosophies, all told atop a looping piano that seemed to be coasting off day-after euphoria.
What Szmierek does is document incredibly specific details from his life, and others. It’s about making music that tells stories and makes him feel good. Having spent time working as a teacher throughout his twenties, he’s learned the value of “communities, people and empathy. All of these things I value as part of my personality now, I learned while teaching.” Szmierek says the ultimate mission of his music is to let others know that this is all possible.
Withered Hand

Withered Hand

26 Jun 2026 - 18 Aug 2026

Withered Hand is the nom de plume of Edinburgh-based singer-songwriter Dan Willson, who started writing songs almost ten years ago during a period of reflection following the birth of his first child and the death of a close friend. With a wayward tenor and unaffected charm onstage he has come to be celebrated in his adopted country and further afield as a songwriter and lyricist of rare wit and remarkable honesty. Alongside activity with his band, Dan is also a well-travelled solo musician with a cult following. 2014 saw the release of his strident second album New Gods, which propelled Withered Hand into the charts, featuring appearances by friends, luminaries and supporters from the Scottish music scene, from Belle & Sebastian to Frightened Rabbit to The Vaselines and beyond.

Mary Lattimore

Mary Lattimore

7 Aug 2026 - 7 Aug 2026

Upset The Rhythm presents Mary Lattimore Mary Lattimore is a harpist living in Los Angeles. She experiments with her Lyon and Healy Concert Grand harp and effects. Memories - places, vacancies, allusions - are fundamental characters in Mary Lattimore's evocative craft. Inside her music, wordless narratives, indefinite travelogues, and braided events skew into something enchantingly new. Lattimore recorded her breakout 2016 album, 'At The Dam', during stops along a road trip across America, letting the serene landscapes of Joshua Tree and Marfa, Texas color her compositions. In 2017, she presented 'Collected Pieces', a tape compiling sounds from her past life in Philadelphia: odes to the east coast, burning motels, and beach town convenience stores. In 2018, from a restorative station - a redwood barn, nestled in the hills above San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge - emanates 'Hundreds of Days', her second full-length LP with Ghostly International. The record sojourns between silences and speech, between microcosmic daily scenes and macrocosmic universal understandings, between being alien in promising new places and feeling torn from old native havens. It's an expansive new chapter in Lattimore's story, and an expression of mystified gratitude. A study in how ordinary components helix together to create an extraordinary world. Throughout the shifting locales there is one consistent companion Lattimore engages: a 47-string Lyon and Healy harp. The instrument wires directly into her psyche. Pitchfork's Marc Masters posits, "she can practically talk through it at this point; she's created a language." Lattimore's voice sweeps beneath the plucks and washes of opener It Feels Like Floating, enraptured by the winding current, and reappearing in the second minute of the immense "Never Saw Him Again." The track elevates towards a shimmering apex of static and percussion before organ drone yields to signature halcyon flutters. As with much of Lattimore's work, the track titles are telling; "Baltic Birch" is a sombre windswept march that sways gracefully out of step, a remembrance of a recent trip to Latvia where she was struck by the abandoned resort towns along the Baltic Sea. Hello From The Edge of The Earth is an earnest reflection of Lattimore's love of the natural world, recognising the thresholds of varying terrains. 'Hundreds Of Days' is out now on Ghostly International. Mary also writes harp parts for songs and recordings, performing and recording with such great artists as Meg Baird, Thurston Moore, Sharon Van Etten, Jarvis Cocker, Kurt Vile, Steve Gunn, Ed Askew and Fursaxa.

Damian Lewis

Damian Lewis

2 Oct 2026 - 30 Oct 2026

Damian has played the classical guitar since he was 13-years-old. Quickly though, suspecting that he might be the “Second Elvis,” he graduated to the steel string acoustic so that he could sing Elvis in the mirror without fear of interruption. Busking in London and continental Europe through his early twenties, the rent money started coming in from acting and the guitar was parked up as a hobby until the time of CoVid lockdown and quarantine. The busking experience has stayed with Damian ever since and is reflected in his debut album. Meeting with various London-based musicians, including Giacomo Smith, Damian wrote songs and found himself in the recording studio cutting tracks that will be released on his debut album titled, “Mission Creep.” The album will be out June 16, 2023. His band of five with jazz roots has a bluesy sound and the album is described as a thoughtful collection of rootsy, rock and jazz-tinged songs that reveal a deep love of music and a deep need to communicate.
